Motel 6 Groton, CT

Me and my husband were spending New Years Eve alone, we live in New Haven CT we didn't have the kids so we booked a hotel room for 2 nights at The Motel 6 in Groton CT, We are also dog sitting and couldn't leave the dog home alone. This Motel is Pet Friendly, Very clean , Nice big room with Queen size bed, clean sheets , heat and air conditioner ,
a refrigerator, Television, Telephone and a table with 2 chairs. Another plus a ash trey as smoking rooms are available and I smoke. The staff was very nice as well I will definitely return again for another stay and highly recommended. Prices are good as well very affordable. Truly enjoyed my first stay here Thank You Motel 6.

Easy to find location. Check in was quick and easy with a very kind and funny woman. The room looked great, I loved the wood floors. Mini fridge and microwave were handy. Shower was nice and hot. Bed was on the firm side but comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

Rooms very clean. Great location.

The parking lot was very large and easy to get in and out of. The lobby was clean, a little awkward because it still had the breakfast area from the last motel but they no longer do that. There's a microwave in the lobby you can use, fridges in the rooms too. The rooms were nice size, a few were getting a makeover while we were staying there so eventually they'll all be updated. Staff aas very nice too, will recommend:)

I am not accustomed to staying at motels so I did not have high expectations. When I opened the door my first impression was not good however as we eased into our evening I realized why there was no carpeting on the floor (pets allowed) and I was strangely comfortable with it. The couch was comfortable, the bed was comfortable, it was clean, people were friendly. Would go back in a minute!!

I want to say that Alex the Manager and his staff were wonderful!!! They were on top of everything and so helpful. Everyone always had a smile. The room was always cleaned. There was no cigarette smoke odor. It was a great place to stay!! Thank you Motel 6!

My sister and I chose this motel for it's location near Casino. Very reasonably priced and pet friendly. We were not disappointed. The room was very clean, beds were comfortable. The desk person, Debbie, was very friendly and helpful. We appreciated her cheerful attitude. We would definitely consider staying here in the future.

The room was very very clean and I love that they have hardwood floors and not any carpets. When checking in the Front Staff were very pleasant and very warm in their greeting. I will definitely stay here again.

Didn't have any issues at all with this place. The woman at the front desk was nice. The room was nice and clean. There was a few ciggarette burns on the tub but other then that I give it 5 stars for the money I payed. Bed was clean, towels were stocked and the place was quiet. I've read some of the reviews and to be honest the ppl leaving those reviews probably never had a hard day in there life and was probably expecting the Hilton. No it's not a 5 star hotel but for the money it's worth it.

Amazing experience!!! The staff is extremely professional, polite, helpful and courteous. The noise level at night is very appropriate and the guests are very polite, discreet, and quiet. At night it is nice and quiet. Very peaceful. I had an amazing stay here and will refer it to everyone!!! I do not want to ever leave!!! Thank you Motel 6!

The hotel is minutes from the navy base and restaurants. Clean and quiet room. The staff was professional, friendly, and talkative every time we walked through the lobby.
I had a last minute change to my reservation that the website I booked the room through would not let me make. I called the hotel, explained the situation, the manager made the change to my reservation on the phone with no problem.
The manager was great when I explained to him on our second day that we had my son's multiple duffle bags and backpacks from the navy base that he was bringing home while on leave and it would be difficult to clean the room even though we tried to condense everything into as small of a pile as possible. Housekeeping still did a great job on the room.

Room was clean, quiet, a comfortable bed, nice hot shower, and plenty of towels. Wifi connected immediately without fussing for hard-you-find passwords.

Close enough to Mystic Seaport which was my destination.

Lobby was large with comfortable soft seating; dining area provided tables and chairs. No food available but if you brought your own there was a common area for eating.

Quiet, clean, everything I needed. I got an ironing board, by calling the front desk, and they delivered it, with an iron of course, immediately to my room.
NOT fancy, no frills, no pictures on the wall, no continental breakfast. (There is a fridge in the room so I bought milk and cereal at the outset and had that for breakfast every day. There is free coffee in the lobby.) Just a great value. Conveniently located (I needed to go to New London, Norwich, Gales Ferry and Preston a lot).

My boyfriend and i recently stayed for a few days because we were going to the beach to celabrate his birthday. The room was set modern and simple and loved it. It was clean and cozy. We even got to check in early which is amazing!!

Stayed for 2 nights 3 days in a King room. The room was much cleaner and bigger than expected. Room did not smell of cigarette smoke! The guy at front desk was amazingly sweet! I will be revisiting soon ❤

Affordable. I requested a non smoking room and the room is clean and doesn't smell of anything. No bed bugs. Came with a fridge and microwave which are both clean. Everything is clean and if I had to stay at this place again I would!

Motel 6. Ahhh what to say. It's nothing over exaggerated it's what it is. Cheap and economical this one has been redone with those fancy laminated wood floors new sheets and s more modern look. They allow pets so that's always a bonus. For the price you really can't beat it. Our room was clean, no frill check in, beds were nice. Simple and effective.

Roomy, clean, and nicely painted rooms with wood floors. Table with two chairs, TV, small fridge. Nothing fancy, but more than met our expectations. Outside beautifully landscaped. Affordable! Free Wi-Fi! Friendly personnel!

I needed to stay with my family for a few monthes and besides not having the pool any more and a poor work out room the rooms were updated and the front lobby staff and cleaning staff and the family who runs it were so amazing and understanding. Completely children friendly
