Trattoria Da Lepri

A cute little restaurant that packs one hell of a punch in the culinary brilliance that is Trattoria Da Lepri! This beautiful establishment demands your attention when It comes to hearty dishes and mouth watering desserts. 5 stars all day!!

This lovely Italian restaurant was a delight in so many ways. The service was good, the wine excellent, the ambience spot on. We had dinner for five; I reveled in the salmon; stuffed with shrimp and crab and a cream sauce. Even the fingerling potatoes and veggies were crisp and superb.
Mother and sister had a special; pan-seared halibut with broccoli and carrots. Vegan son found some delicious butternut squash ravioli, hold the cheese, and father proclaimed it the "best restaurant he had ever visited" over his calamari salad. He is given to superlatives.
Dessert was the flourless chocolate cake, a pyramid of creamy chocolate, topped with whipped cream and a strawberry garnish.
I waddled from the table with a fabulous glow, vowing to return ASAP to do it all over again.

Every single dish is perfectly composed, and they readily accommodate all food allergies!! We loved the calamari, meatballs, and burrito apps - plus the delicious seasonal specials: the pork chop and Pavlova (pictured). Highly recommend the Elderflower Martini as well. This is a 10/10 with expert level service and even accommodations for kids.

Incredible food!! Like wow. Didn't expect this from a place that looks like this but the food was absolutely stellar. Try the specialties!!!!!!

Always a great experience- a hidden gem! The beef pappardelle pasta is the best; great cocktails and atmosphere. Worth the ride!

What a perfect evening! Deb has nailed every part of the dining experience.The staff is genuinely friendly and efficient. All four of our meals were on point, from presentation to flavor, balance and yumminess!

My wife and I had heard about this restaurant for years but this was our first time. Food was exceptional. Lynn, our server, made our visit even more enjoyable as she stopped by and talked with us about shared experiences. I recommend this place as the real deal without reservation.

Trattoria Da Lepri is a wonderful Italian restaurant. Went there for New Years Eve dinner 2021/2022. The calamari was incredible on a bed of greens mixed with a limoncello sauce. Also had the Salmon with fingerling potatoes and carrots, also excellent. Ambience was very nice with light music. Our waitress was very nice as well with excellent service. Finished the evening with some wonderful vanilla bean ice cream from Foster's of Avon. All around excellent time was had by our entire party. Looking forward to going back soon.

I knew we were in for a special evening beginning with my initial phone call to make a reservation. Deborah, the owner, was so accommodating, the apex of customer service. Our first time at the restaurant and was wowed the entire evening. From the service to the food, top notch! I chose the restaurant based on online reviews, so glad we did. It was our first visit but certainly won't be our last. Thank you Deb and staff for a beautiful birthday/Valentine weekend dinner!

By far my favorite restaurant in the area. The food, service, and ambiance are beyond compare. We have been several times and each experience was a delight. The ricotta donuts are a must have!

We had an awesome experience at Trattoria Da Lepri last night! We were greeted by Debbie who was very nice and sat us at our table. We ordered from the Prix menu and I enjoyed my Pork Medallions very much! The cranberry rice was amazing! The only comment I will make is that our waitress took my salad and dinner plates without asking if I was finished (I was still picking and eating bread). We had both the tart and the donuts for dessert! AMAZING! We will certainly be back! Thanks for a great dinner!

Tonight was our first time at this restaurant. The staff was exceptional, especially our waitress Lynn. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very nice. A true hidden gem. We will definitely be coming back and can’t wait to bring our friends and family!

After completely avoiding all restaurants for the past year plus we are now fully vaccinated and the first place we wanted to go was Trattoria da Lepri. We have been enjoying this quaint restaurant in Ellington since it opened approximately 10 years ago. It was wonderful to see the owner Debbie greeting people as they arrived and chatting for a few minutes. Lynn our server who has worked there for years was just a delight as always. Everyone there is so friendly and knowledgeable. One dish that we are hooked on is the calamari salad. We can guarantee that you will love it! Anytime we have tried calamari and other restaurants we always say… It doesn’t compare to Trattoria da lepri. We also love to sample their specials which are always so interesting and authentic. This time the pasta special was a shrimp dish with a very light and delicate cream sauce… Out of this world!

I had the honor to dine with the head chefs and owner of a very fine and classic restaurant and what made a wonderful dinning experience that he explained the difference between a regular dinner and a fine dinner is that he's meal are made with love like Mom make it making sure that your first bite you will never forget the taste of meal the combination of spices and perfection of the meals are done just right , making it that every bite you take and second and 3er is a incredible dinning experience to the point to use my fingers to get everything of that plate is that good. There staff where great they make me feel like I was having dinner at home with family. I am going to be a regular..,..,.. love it.. thank you Frank, Debbie, Colleen and Don Defiori, I had a wonderful time.

Great local Italian restaurant that serves up traditional favorites with fresh, locally sourced food. Eveything from their braised beef, shrimp and bolognese was fantastic. The canoli was on point and super fresh. Service was outstanding and friendly. Could overhear a lot of repeat customers. The men in front even greeted a few by name. Really nothing to love about that. A little on the high side of average price-wise but well worth it for a nice dinner out. Restaurant is casual but I did not see any little kids in sight. I didn't see any kids in sight and even though I doubt anyone would mind, probably not the exact type of food kids will generally go for.

Fabulous food selection. Everything from apps(try the hard to find onion cheddar on the create your own board) to endings (cannoli with fresh whipped creme and crushed pistachios)... very delicious. Lavender Moonshine Martini's are highly recommended! Our server was helpful with recommendations of pairings for wine and enriched a wonderful evening.
