This is a must try if you’re coming through Missoula! The staff was super friendly and informative about what would go best with our bowls. The soda was even a well thought out pairing for their delicious food! I had the cucumber soda.

I always love 5 on black. Everything is gluten free, and the cheesy bread bites give me a joy that I've only found here since going gluten free. The employee was careful to take my allergies into account with her suggestions. The food always tastes so fresh and delicious, I wish there were more locations in other states!!

Great food in a casual takeout eatery.

This chain was new to us, but the young guy couldn't actually answer any questions. Luckily, another older staff member stepped in and answered questions and made suggestions.

Very tasty bowls and salads with multiple options. Great place for an easy, healthy meal.

Healthy food that is also filling. Perfect when on the road and want something quick. Didn’t love the Brazilian stew as much as my partners dish who got the something curry.
The little cheddar buns are phenomenal. Get extra.

Bowls are bomb! You can’t go wrong here for a lunch or dinner. Awesome prices. The food is always fresh and tasty! Two different options for sizing and great portions! I usually get a small and find myself pretty happy, the large is a good size if you are super hungry! Kyle is the best and always super kind as well as the rest of the staff! 100% recommend checking this place out for a quick, healthy and filling bite to eat!

This place is great! It fits into the whole-bowl food culture but with a Brazilian twist. Definitely not a grab and go place but they have takeout. I like the vibe that they have at this location and the one off Brooks and Reserve. Service is pretty good they wait on you right away. No table service and you bus your own table. They have compostable containers and utensils as well as unique drink options from the cooler or fountain.

Hands down one of my favorite places to eat in town. Healthy, flavorful, and reasonably priced. I like to get a bowl with half rice half greens, Feijoada Brazilian Stew with collard greens and chimichurri. A large bowl is usually enough to share with my partner. Also the Pao de Queijo are so yum!

Delicious, healthy, fresh, and I got to choose my combination of items in my bowl. I love the simplicity of the menu: pick a base, grilled item, side, sauce, and Brazilian toppings. The cheese biscuit was also delicious. There was also a nice view of the street outside with people walking/talking outside.

Very simple and fresh ingredient menu. Everything was delicious. The pal de quiejo was out of this world. A must try. Brazilian stew is very tasty and tender.Love the fact that the place has a separate bin for compost. Nice staff.

Wow, this is awesome. The taste combinations they have come up with are fabulous. It’s way beyond rice and beans. Suggest you try the coconut sauce. Both the black beans and the yams are excellent and you can combine them, half and half. Enjoy.

Like many of you who have left reviews I am also not from here (Charlotte, NC)... but if I lived in Missoula I would probably come here all the time. Healthy, delicious, spicy, and flavorful are all adjectives to describe this food. Very friendly and helpful staff. This would be a perfect place to come after a challenging hike or just anytime really.

A very solid lunch experience! Even though it’s ~basic~ I am a big fan of the whole ‘put a bunch of veg etc in a bowl and eat it.’ So anyway the food was good and tasted fresh and flavorful! Only downside was the cheese bun type things were Not Free™ and I did not realize that when the person asked me if I wanted one lol. But really good food and very cute restaurant!

BOwls are my favorite! You can get everything in one dish. Protein, grain, veg, sauce. Nothing lacking here! This is a must!

We had a busy day and utilized Uber Eats for dinner. Five on Black sounded like something fun and new to try. I was not disappointed! I had the bowl with rice, beef, BBQ mango sauce, cilantro, lime and sweet potato. It was delicious! I highly recommend.

Their rice bowls were a refreshing change from what I normally eat. Great food, sizable portions and good atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Had a great vegan meals! Choices for all - vegans, vegetarians and carnivores! Delicious!

As always, I had another wonderful experience here today!! For a quick in and out experience it is so nice! Though the service is very quick, I really appreciate the employees efforts to make it personal! I would like to give a special thank you to Bella, who goes out of her way every time to make sure I am taken care of! And to top it all off the entire menu gluten free!

Really cool idea! Food was tasty. Paid around $30 for 2 large bowls and 2 drinks! However, if you want a lot of meat, don’t expect it here.
