This place is simply wonderful for a leisurely stroll. You can walk alongside the water's edge or wander along the streets, crossing bridges to admire the river from above. A versatile and picturesque route for any walker.

Absolutely beautiful.
The downtown area/Riverwalk to Millennium Park.
Was just breathtaking. So neat and clean.
Everything being updated/renovated makes it that much more exciting.
Thank you for the fantastic job to everyone on the Chicago team that made it possible.

Take care. JV

Went on a cruise of the river and it was a GREAT day. The Riverwalk is beautiful and safe. I would really suggest taking one of the Shoreline Sightseeing tours, it was well worth it.

Beautiful river side walk alongside chicagos iconic Chicago River. Definitely worth doing an architecture boat tour but strolling down stream and stopping for food and drinks along the way is a must do as well!

Hi ! A great place for hiking and boat excursions! We saw very beautiful architecture, it seems to me, the most beautiful in the world! City builders are real heroes and wizards! I recommend everyone to bring their friends and introduce them to Chicago! I love this city .

The Chicago Riverwalk is like the city's chill hangout spot by the water. It's got this cool mix of things to do—like walking, eating at awesome waterfront restaurants, and even hopping on a river cruise if you're feeling fancy. The views are killer, with skyscrapers on one side and the river on the other. Plus, there's always something new to see, from funky art installations to beautiful landscaping. Whether you're a local or just visiting, it's definitely worth checking out for a laid-back vibe and some prime people-watching.

My favorite way to explore a new city is to just go out for a long walk. The Chicago Riverwalk has some amazing views of the river and the impressive buildings and beautiful architecture that surround it. It felt very safe with a lot of locals and tourists enjoying the trail. There are plenty of bars and restaurants along the Riverwalk if you want to stop for a bite or a beer.

Wonderful walk by the river. A great way to discover the city at your own pace and take lovely pictures of the buildings. In the winter, it’s also very calm and you won’t see many people there. If you’re lucky to arrive in Chicago on a sunny day, the riverwalk is the perfect way to begin your trip!

Good view of the architecture surrounding the river, there are several places to grab beverage, there are restrooms in several spots. You can enter or get out in every bridge, so the walk could be as long as you want. You could walk toward the lake up to the very end and walk in the marina also cross the other side of the river and get to the Navy Pear. In the morning some people do some jogging and is not crowded but most of the restaurant are close. The evening is very nice and color and reflections are nice for good pictures.

I’m from Louisville KY and we have a riverfront area that I absolutely love. The Riverwalk in Chicago puts it to shame. The views with the buildings are so beautiful. It’s a nice long area to have a walk with a very scenic vibe.

In the colder months it’s definitely not as fun. The views are beautiful and the energy is great for a nice city walk though

This is a very pleasant way (apart from the cruises) to see some of the great architecture of Chicago. The walkways are kept clean and there are plenty of riverside cafes and bars to stop out. The walkway leads to a path along Lake Michigan and from here you can go for miles if you want to. I believe there is something like 26-28 miles of walking paths around the river and lake. There are signs to explain the route and there are toilets that seem to be cleaned regularly. I loved it❣

Chicago gets a bad reputation in the news, but I'm here to tell you that I've been to many destinations. There's no place like home (Chicago's River Walk) has set the bar for its scenery, which is unparalleled with its skyline for a backdrop regardless of the climate 😉

"Visiting the Riverwalk on St. Patrick's Day turned out to be a fantastic decision! The festive atmosphere was contagious, with the vibrant energy of the crowd and the river dyed a brilliant green in celebration. Walking along the river, I was able to soak in the lively ambiance, enjoy the themed decorations, and join in the fun with everyone around. The restaurants and bars along the Riverwalk went all out, offering special deals and treats to mark the occasion. It was a unique way to experience the holiday, and the scenic beauty of the Riverwalk added to the magic of the day. Truly a memorable experience I'd recommend to anyone!"

I'd absolutely reccomend doing at least part of the river walk! It was a great spot to see a lot of the downtown Chicago buildings and architecture. When we visited it was foggy and rainy but still a great experience. I loved it and will definitely be going back again next time I visit.
