Don’t understand the poor reviews, I had great service and great food.

Ordered the Crab Rangoons, General Tso's chicken with white rice. The General Tso's chicken was one of the best I’ve ever tried. Sliced white meat stir-fried with lots of broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, and black-skinned mushrooms. It was packing some BIG heat.

The crab rangoons were delicious and came with sweet-and-sour sauce and spicy mustard. My meal also came with a delicious jasmine tea.

I will definitely be back. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. Overall highly recommended.

You can be assured of authentic flavors and a cozy atmosphere. The hot tea that is offered once you sit down really warms your heart. Highly recommend!

As always, the service and food are well represented with large portions and excellent assistance. A friendly and welcoming team of people are always there to make the dining experience valued. I have a different dish every time I visit, and I am never displeased. This is a great and well established restaurant that, if you've not visited, you need to stop in for lunch or dinner. Comfortable dining, with a good atmosphere and classic style for this type of Chinese cuisine. Recommend highly if you're in the area and looking for a filling meal.

A long-time staple on the Ankeny restaurant scene, Jade Garden has a great menu and consistent, delicious dishes.

For something especially unique, be certain to try their egg rolls (unless you have some food allergies).

This is a wonderful place to go to lunch. While going for dinner is good, they have an amazing lunch special page with very cheap meals that come with a lot and are very good. While the lady who you go to to pay for the meal seems cold, the servers and rest of the staff are very warm and friendly. I've gone here a lot, and highly recommend it.
I've seen a lot of people complaining about take out orders. Probably because it's take out. Eating in the restaurant, I've never had a problem ever.

We've been going to Jade Garden since 2005 nothing compares to the food, service & care that go towards creating each meal. Never had a bad experience. We choose to pick up mostly & its always good but dining in is definitely the best way to go. The owners are so nice go out of their way to provide superior customer service. My family highly recommends the crab ragoons, crispy pork & mongolian beef.

Family meal this time and still as great of food as 25+ years ago when our then "teen" daughter was Hostess there!!! Relaxing and a great place in Ankeny to eat!!!

I was the very first customer to Jade Garden back in 1985. And I have been a loyal customer ever since.

Excellent chinese fare and they accommodate special requests.

Consistent service (Mama) and clean and tastefully decorated.

I wish they would get rid of the stupid flatscreen TV on the wall.

Only have a half hour for lunch? They will do that for you.

Best Chinese food in Ankeny! George, the owner is very nice. Mercedes is always helpful and friendly. Always calls us by name.

I have been going here for the past 4 years. My girlfriends family members have been going here for over 20 years. Food is always fantastic for us. Never 1 complaint from us. Prices are also great, especially lunch specials. Portion sizes will always leave you with leftovers. Literally the best chinise food I have ever had.

Im uncertain about the negative reviews about bad service, rude managment, feeling bad for the employees, and poor delivery experiences. Our experience has always been enjoyable. One waitress ,Mercedes, in particular has always been great to us and evenmentioned to us on todays visit she loves working there.

I recommend going during lunch hours for great pricing.

Our family tried Jade Garden for the first time recently and it has quickly become our favorite Chinese place in the area. The food is delicious, the facilities are clean and the service is fantastic. Highly recommend!

I've been going to Jade Gardens since 1987. It is always excellent, and it is a real treat to eat there. There are many excellent dishes, but my favorite is chicken with plumb sauce. I order that 95% of the time. They also have THE most authentic Chinese mustard. Also, I'd like to give a shout out to "Mama" who is the best server ever.

Amazing table service!! I love their server she is so kind and helpful! She helped my six year old find exactly what she wanted by combining two dishes! Brilliant! The for is delicious and fresh. Can't beat their lunch specials!

I was a little surprised and saddened to see such mixed reviews about Jade Garden. This has been a favorite of mine since 2003. The owner has always been nothing but nice to me and even remembers my name when I stop in. Their hot and sour soup is hands down the best I've ever had!! I love all of their beef dishes I've tried, too! Mongolian beef and Princess beef are my favorites. Usually I steer away from beef dishes at other Chinese restaurants because the beef can be chewy and tough, but it's always tender and delicious at Jade Garden. Have I ordered dishes I wasn't fond of? Sure.. but, I just don't order them again. I'm not going to love everything I try at every restaurant. I have done delivery a couple times and it does take a little longer. I think that's normal for a smaller business like Jade Garden, though. I just stick to carry out or dine in. I had to give my review of a place that's always been a 5-star experience for the past 15 years! TEAM JADE GARDEN :)

Everything was very good. We always got a very good server, I don't know what her name was, but she was very nice and very talkative. It seems like we always get her, which we have no problem with. When we first got there, (in the new restaurant, which is very nice) we got seated very quickly, and even better, we got a table with a lazy susan! Our server was out right away to get our drink orders, but took a little while to actually get our drinks out, this doesn't usually happen, but this was one of the opening days, and they were really busy. But that changed when she took our food order. The egg drop soup came our right away! (Egg drop soup is totally to die for) And then the egg rolls (also to die for) came out almost right after it! It was heaven on earth!! It was so good, I almost cried;) After we were done with the egg rolls, our meals came out. (I got cashew chicken which is AMAZING!) It was great and our bill was out right after. Whenever we do delivery, everything is piping hot and just as good as sit down. Service is excellent. Food is AMAZING. Atmosphere is fabulous. A must go to restaurant.

Great food, clearly made to order. Housemade sweet and sour sauce-no dyes or msg! Such amazing food. The service was also incredible! Our server was happy and attentive. The drinks from the bar were tasty, we each tried a cocktail, you could tell they used fresh squeezed fruits. All around, a great dining experience. Thank you!
