Awesome experience! The crib downstairs moved on its own. I watched it for five minutes straight. No wires, no motors, no draft. I eventually stopped watching when I heard old music box music playing faintly. No one else heard it but me.

Went here back in October on Friday the 13th, and it was definitely spooky and interesting with so many haunted artifacts. We had some paranormal things happen. We smelled old perfume and cologne when we walked by and sensed that an old couple was standing there. Also, a crib was rocking by itself. This place is definitely haunted. You can see lots of orbs and dark shadows moving on the live camera. Great place to visit in the old market, especially during Halloween time.

’m going back!
Believe in it or not, it’s still a pretty interesting place. I only did the self guided tour.
Each artifact has its own card with a quick story.
I also did one of the sit challenges. Which was really cool and interesting. I’m still trying to figure out what I heard and saw. I’m an openminded skeptic so my mind is trying to debunk but no luck so far.
They do have a small gift shop but the things I was wanting they were sold out.
The owners were wonderful and very welcoming. Big things are coming there way and I’m really happy for them. when they become big and famous, I can’t wait to say I met them in person.

It was fun and creepy at the same time. You can rent paranormal instruments to use as you walk thru the museum! There are lots of cool, creepy things. If you are scared of dolls or clowns, don't go.

Really fun! Losts to look at! Downstairs has a different kind of energy due to the more haunted stuff, overall awesome experience would do again.

Definitely was worth the experience! I would love to go back again. I went closer to closing time because I wanted to experience the most paranormal activity possible, and I definitely did experience that. (I also went in October, so the veil was thin) The owners were extremely friendly, I had a very comfortable experience. There was a lot of paranormal activity happening especially downstairs for me. It actually became too overwhelming for me at one point. I started to get extremely hot and I’ve never felt that before. Almost the complete opposite of feeling chills or a cool breeze next to you. At one point downstairs I had to quickly turn around and go back upstairs because it was too much. (and I mean that in a good way.) I would definitely sage or do your own form of protection before you go in and when you leave. Absolutely do not touch anything, I personally wouldn’t even step too close to certain items. I did have something follow me home, but after I did a cleansing in my house, I was perfectly fine! I’m also glad I went closer to closing time, no one else was there, It wasn’t busy at all and the doll Ayda started going crazy, but it wasn’t till after they closed. There’s a lot more that happened, it was a great experience overall definitely would recommend if you’re into spooky things.🔥🔥

The museum is full of dolls, clowns, coffins, and the macabre. Each having something possibly attached to it. There's one doll that has her own corner. You have to ask if it's OK to go into her area.
I was enthralled by the stories behind these things in the museum. With so many things in this 2 story building, I did not get the time to read everything. Which has me itching to go back and learn more. That and I'm dying to experience time to sit by myself to see if anything happens.
I did buy a wicked goblet and some precious stones. The only thing I was allowed to photograph was the shop area. I'll get better pics next time.

I could have spent all day here!!! Such fascinating objects and I love that they have story cards attached to each item. Great place to come if you love the haunted and paranormal. All of their artifacts are well preserved and it is a great place for a little history too. Friendly staff and great gifts up front. I am dragging everyone I know here!!! I participated in a 10 minute sit challenge that was fantastic and the black light self guided tour was so much fun!
Update 2.27.2022: Second visit and it was just as amazing as the first! They had new exhibits and some really dark stuff!! Thank you so much!

We took a trip through the museum but could easily go again. There is so much information about each item and I'll admit, we didn't take enough time to read it all.

Took my son and his friend here for his Birthday....we have been wanting to go ever since we first heard of it when it was in Plattsmouth. It is quite the experience. We were intrigued by all of the artifacts and the lighting set eerie ambiance. We did not allot ourselves enough time to tour the museum and read the information about each artifact. We definitely are going to visit the museum again.

At the museum entrance we were greeted by two lovely ladies who welcomed us and answered all of our questions. Than we were given options of ghost hunting tools to rent and we decided to pick a spirit box. We even felt comfortable enough to take on the sit challenge! During our sit challenge we received quite a few messages through the spirit box that we were surprised to hear. The entire experience was great and we are proud to have completed the sit challenge!! Thank you 🙏🏽 for having us!!

This place is super cool, especially if you are an all things spooky enthusiasts. No pictures are allowed while walking through the museum, so just an FYI. They had a large amount of artifacts with back stories. It's two levels of spooks. The basement had a very ominous feeling, my heart kept racing and I felt waves of lightheadness as I walked through. My hubby was actually scratched a few times on the hand while we were walking through. They have an option to sit in the dark, alone for 10 minutes for an added charge - super cool!! Would recommend for sure. They also have Holy water that you can use before and after entering the basements most haunted area. ;)

Super kind staff who will answer any questions you have. Beautiful drive with the cutest destination that is downtown Plattsmouth. Great admission price with more than enough things to see and read about to keep you wrapped-up in the lore that is the after-life/demonology. I encourage you to follow the directions they give you before entering, use the holy water provided out side the “Next Realm” and try the sit challenge with someone!
Worth every penny, I will be returning to this quiet town, even if only for this museum.
I suggest not bringing children into the museum if they have to have constant supervision as there are many tempting dolls/toys asking to be picked up.
The basement is amazing, definitely glad I did not do any research before going as to not bias myself before visiting and getting a vibe first-hand. I can promise you, if you’re looking for proof of ghosts/Desmond/apparitions/the paranormal, you will find it here!

A lot of things there to read about. Did the sit down challenge in the bottom area next to the bone room. Gf felt a soft brush on the back of one of her legs but nothing else. An EVP would have been good as it may have picked up some responses. We asked many questions to reply with a knock or a touch but nothing else. 10 minutes went quicker than we both thought it would.

Had a great night at the museum again this past Friday. Good turn out and got you talk with people as well as the owners. Watched a few sit down challenges before ours and you could see the orbs as they flew around.
We did the former bone room now called Celia's room. Nothing happened though while in there. No cold or hot temps, no feeling emotional, no sounds or noises, could not feel any energy. Just a dark quiet room. Always fun to visit and see what might happen.

While traveling through Omaha, I noticed the signage on the old building that houses The Museum of Shadows peering out through a surrounding construction zone. Not knowing what to expect, I sauntered in to be pleasantly surprised by the collection of curiosities and stories accompanying each! It's creepy, yeah, but not as creepy as a Jack-In-The-Box at 3am. The "as seen on television" style of "ghost hunting" activities included there make it decidedly less creepy.

If held up in comparison to art galleries and museums of a similar size and budget, The Museum of Shadows proves exemplary. The curation and arrangement of the exhibits outshines, or I should say- out-shadows, arts district galleries from New York to Chicago to LA where not enough mixed media works are displayed and not enough effort is made to connect the artists' imaginations to potential viewers. A paragraph of "artspeak" is more likely to denigrate a complex sculpture or relief then it is to exalt it. In The Museum of Shadows, older pieces of art are resurrected by their accompanying text to become more than just shadows of former lives.

In the coming years beyond the fall of human civilization, as all life on earth dwindles to its nadir, we can expect The Museum of Shadows to continue to cater to the good remnants of Omaha, exacting its operating costs in blood and sacrifice as homage to the memories of why we failed.

My family and I visited for the very first time day very impulsively as we were enjoying time downtown. I personally had purposely avoided this place at all costs due to my own personal beliefs and life experiences. Everyone was super excited to visit it when I announced we were actually going to go in. Needless to say the staff was great at making us feel comfortable going in despite my concern over signing waivers. It was an exhilarating and unique experience. Despite the fact that for reasons I cannot explain, I was too terrified to go downstairs, the rest of my group did and loved it more than upstairs. One of your staff did a great job answering non stop questions from my very nervous son and was a huge help. Thanks for a great experience.

We went because my wife is really into ghost shows, but it was actually really cool and the whole family had a great time.
The owners were very friendly and made the experience top notch.

Went ghost hunting with my daughter and it was a wonderful experience. The people that work here are super awesome. The owners take pictures with you at the end so you can have memories of your visit. I will definitely be going again.

Such a fun experience! There’s ghost equipment you’re allowed to rent which made my trip much more exciting. Two levels of artifacts to look at that have their stories attached and the history of each item!! Definitely recommend!

My favorite museum in Omaha! A fun time if you are mildly interested in haunted artifacts but an amazing time if you are all in on the Paranormal! Hours of entertainment each time I visit. There are no pictures on the inside so the front of the building is all I can post for a picture. A must if you are downtown!
