Lovely place for a quiet hike with views ranging from the Omaha skyline to the Missouri riverfront. I nice variety of trails that are well maintained with a wide variety of native plants to appreciate. There’s a no dog / pet policy specifically for encouraging a quiet hiking environment. Managed / maintained by Fontenelle Forest.

Neale Woods is a great place to get out of the city and into nature. None of the trails are overly difficult but they're not all easy either so there are trails for everyone regardless of what kind of shape you're in. Most of the trails are under the canopy of the trees but there are plenty of more open areas as well which offers a nice variety as you explore. There are plenty of wildflowers, birds and various wildlife that you'll see on each visit. I've always loved hiking on vacation and finally started hiking locally this year, and Neale Woods is the place I've hiked most this year. It's remote, never crowded and the trails are up kept nicely. On my most recent visit, I noticed they cleared some of the previously downed trees and built some new steps on one of the trails that had deteriorated due to excessive runoff.

Kudos to Fontanelle Forest for keeping this spot beautiful for us to enjoy!

This place was better than I thought it would be. It has so many different places to walk. It's clean and quiet. The $5 fee is well worth the experience.

Great trails. No amenities, but the trails are well maintained. It’s a very relaxing place to visit, and I was happy to find a few hills in Omaha for hiking. You could easily spend the day here

Absolutely beautiful trails leading from high bluffs to right down to the edge of the mighty Missouri river. No dogs are allowed, and birds are everywhere. Keep an eye out for poison ivy, saw a fair amount near the trails, and one trail was impassable due to a fallen tree. It was so refreshing to not hear any noise other than calling birds and the wind through the cottonwood trees!

Beautiful place to hike. Lots of different hikes and terrains. We started on the bluff and hiked down to the river. Good signage in the trails.

Trails are well marked and maintained. There is a good mix of challenge. Beautiful views. Limited parking, but seemed to be enough. No paved or otherwise even "boardwalk" option so not an accessible environment for wheelchairs, strollers, wagons or other mobility aids.

Pretty place. Lots of oak trees. Numerous trails of varying challenge levels, well marked. Maps available at the parking lot. One route takes you to the banks of the Missouri. If you're not a member, do bring a $5 for the fee box to support the facilities.

I love this forest so much. Just be prepared for the mosquitoes! Trails are easy to follow. Make sure to be a member or bring 5 dollars per adult to hike. Beautiful sights and wonderful view points.

Great place to hike with prairie & woods. Especially on a weekday when there aren’t many people there.
