Sides corn (phenomenal - Parmesan on the top, mixed with chopped chilis). Beans “spicy and well prepared!). Cole Slaw (meh - from 2 people)

This is a great Kansas City barbecue place. We are here on a Friday night and it is hopping. Crowd out the door really cool vibe and awesome barbecue. Make sure you get the fries. They’re incredible.

Arguably the best BBQ in the KC area. The Z man sandwich was my favorite for years, but lately I've been getting their Carolina sandwich and adding two onion rings to that. Make sure you get their tasty fries to share with someone else. Pork ribs are seasoned just right. Big Red soda served at the fountain 👍

Left side was carryout, right side was dine in. Walked into dine in, there is a hostess counter but wasn't in use. To begin, the fastest way is to scan the QR for the menu so you can be ready to order when you get to the order counter. Line was long but moved very quickly. Order arrived fairly quick as well. My husband got the burnt ends and I got a Z-Man regular which both were very well done! The side of fries was more than enough to share. In fact we didn't eat them all.

I hadn't been to this place in about 10yrs. Last time I was there it was called Oklahoma Joe's. The name is different but the food is the same. Absolutely amazing I highly recommend the Z man sandwich omg 🤤. Wish I had it in Florida!

I’ve been to the Leawood and Kansas City, KS locations and now the Olathe one. They are all amazing and the Barbecue is second to none. This was my first time trying their famous “Z-Man” sandwich and it has brisket, provolone cheese, onion rings and bbq sauce. Simply splendid is all I can say. I really enjoy this barbecue and will be visiting this restaurant anytime I’m in the mood for barbecue hands down. I already have been atleast 10 times to the other two locations over the years. If you haven’t been yet, you need to come check it out. Kansas City is blessed to have this good food here. It isn’t the cheapest place to eat but also is reasonable for the quality in my opinion.

Yeeehaw! Best believe, this is some finger lickin' good BBQ! KC Joe's never disappoints. The burnt ends were juicy and tender, and the bun was pillowy-soft. Definitely a melt-in-your-mouth type of situation. Usually I opt for the baked beans or fries, but decided to try the dirty rice. Boy oh boy, was it delicious! I was definitely surprised by the flavor. It had a nice little kick, but also had savory flavor from the sausage. Best of all, it wasn't dry, it was...I'm gonna say it....MOIST! I'll be ordering that again. It was also my brother's birthday and the cashier threw on a free apple cobbler to be enjoyed after our savory, sweet meat. They have great local KC beers on tap as well and they even had an NA boulevard option! Tight. Proud to be a KC native.

This is one of the best BBQ spots I’ve tried. The portions are massive and the flavors are amazing! I got the Rocket Pig and a side of Mac and Cheese. The jalapeños on the sandwich made for a spicy, yet tasty, bite. Also loved the seasoning they added to the Mac n cheese. Oh and the onion rings are top notch. You will not leave here hungry or unsatisfied!

I was a little worried seeing a line out the door and I had a 2 year old and 9 month old BUT I am so glad I did! It was about 25 minutes in line and we had our food. Finding a table was easy! We sat and met the sweetest people in line so the line was such a fun time :) we ordered burnt ends and were in love! We also had ribs that were really good and amazing dirty rice! And super yummy corn! The ribs were good but I thought the burnt ends were better. They have tons of high chairs so you don’t have to hunt one down. My kids happily ate so I can’t be anymore happy! We will be back!

Holy smokes. I decided to try this restaurant since everyone I encountered recommended. The Chicken “Z-man sandwich” was so delicious. I did not expect how good it was! I had the potato salad, banana cream pie and a margarita. I’m not one to really enjoy Banana cream pie or BBQ but I really loved my meal. The sauce in the Z-Man sandwich was so good and it completed the fried onion rings nicely. The lady and the register was so friendly, she introduced herself and welcomed me to Kansas. All the staff seemed to nice! I highly recommend giving this place a try.

This was my second time going to Joe’s Kansas and my goodness was it as amazing as I remembered. I have been dreaming about this sandwich since the last time I hade it. There was a gentleman who mentioned the apple crisp dessert which was amazing. Since I live out of state, I was told that the z man can be shipped! Please open a location in the airport so I can take them with me on the plane 😁. Highly recommend.

We had to make a stop at KC Joe's while traveling from WI to TX. Love that they've opened additional locations. We walked right in, got our food and a table immediately during lunch hour. Food was superb and as good as the original location. Hard to pass up on the ribs, but the Chicken Z-Man was fantastic and worth every extra dime.

Bigger than original location, with food just as good as original location. Smells amazing walking in the door, and Pepsi products to boot. Pulled pork and ribs are fantastic, brisket is pretty good--thin-sliced and pink on the edges, but it doesn't have the candied outside like Texas brisket, just fyi.
Mac and cheese is cheddary, and the fries are big enough for 2 to share. Take-out is available.

If you are looking for amazing BBQ in Kansas City, look no further than Joe's KC. Everything is amazing. I recommend their burnt ends, Carolina pulled pork, and Z-man the most. The best side they have are their fries. One order can cover 2 people. If you have a vegetarian friend with you they have a portobello mushroom version of the Z-man. All are truly welcome.

This place is awesome, we were visiting from out of town, we got the Z-man! Oh it’s so good, I am from Texas, and this was good BBQ! The sauce is very very good, the “hot bbq” is good, has good flavor. For a Texan, it’s not really spicy, but still very good.
The Z-man is so good, meat is perfect, onion rings and cheese are great compliments to the BBQ. Get there early cause the line gets long quick! My Son loved it, he never likes the BBQ sandwiches in Texas and loved this one! Gonna come back one day!

The food was great!! They definitely have the process of ordering and receiving your food down to a science. Overall a great experience and we will be back

If you haven’t been here, time to get schooled, son! This is a peek into real KC BBQ. My fave is the two meat platter. Pulled pork and brisket all the way.

The fries are A+ delicious and you get a huge bag. The Mac and cheese I dream about at night. 💤

I will also say the place is always sparkling clean! They have wonderful staff. 🩷

Get in line, get your food, and sit down, fairly simple and straightforward. Food shines bright here and was fantastic.

Yes I know Joe's is known for pork, ribs and brisket but.... give their chicken a shot. It is outstanding for a BBQ change of pace. Overall a great experience, good selection of sides and fast service.

I love Joe's. Always great food and superior service. The Jumbo Z-man is the best BBQ sandwich in town.

Have been twice now (both times drove about 4 hours to get there!) and it is well worth the trip. Easily the best burnt ends I have ever had, melts like butter in your mouth. Mac and cheese is scrumptious. I'm looking forward to my next visit! Staff was super friendly, don't be afraid if there is a line, it moves at light speed, even if there looks to be about 50 people in front of you.
