Thunderhead Brewing Taproom

Myself and some other young professionals were looking for a place to get together to network in a laid back setting, and we were lucky enough to have decided on Thunderhead Brewing. This was my first experience here, and I will definitely be back! The bartender, Bailey, was extremely helpful and kind. I was nervous to try any beers outside of my comfort zone, but Bailey helped me pick between a couple based on how I described my usual taste. She gave great suggestions and awesome service! She made me feel comfortable even though I was not familiar with any of the drinks, and as you can see from the picture below, I enjoyed my drink quite a bit and didn’t leave a drop of it. The place itself was a great location for my friends and I to get together. There was comfortable seating, it was not too loud so we could hear each other speak, and there were plenty of board games around that we didn’t have the chance to break out this time, but I know it’d be fun on a future visit! I highly recommend!

Great place. This is a taproom not a bar which is what I prefer. Great selection of their own brewed beers and a few others. The house made Thunder Punch is delicious and dangerous. I will definitely be back and recommend this to anyone. The owner is very friendly and is currently out here grilling burgers and brats just because, no charge, just tip because it's the right thing to do.

This is a fun place. They have some excellent beers with a good variety of styles, and even a couple of non-beer options. They offer some light snacks, but don't have a real menu. They do allow you to bring your own food, though. The only significant downside to the taproom is that it gets rather loud when it gets busy there. The concrete floors and simple walls really bounce the sound around.

I get to taste beers from all over. Each of Thunderhead’s were distinct individuals that stood on their own. Got a flight and growler. Tasted lots of the list. I am happy Google maps showed me this brewery satellite and I will be back!

Excellent experience. Great, low key atmosphere perfect for drinking a few beers and playing a board game with friends on a Tuesday night. Bartender was a great host and even offered us cookies that were (almost) as good as the beer! Highly recommend.

Lots of great beer, card games, and open seating. I have been here with friends a few times and always hard a great time. It’s also nice that they have events like cookouts during the day that we can bring the family to. The patio is huge and covered so obviously a must in the spring and summer. I’m excited for them to have moved in to downtown.

Love! They had a huge patio and were accommodating to our dogs, which was awesome. They also had a huge selection of beer, and even a couple of craft sodas. No food but I love how you're allowed to bring your own. Bartending staff is super friendly. I would definitely stop by again if I'm in town!

My daughter had her wedding reception at Thunderhead. It was perfect! We had roughly 130 people there and the space was just the right size. We were not able to utilize the patio, as the weather was a bit cool. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a fun place to host an event! Jake was extremely helpful and super easy to work with! Everyone loved the different kinds of beer, as well! Thanks Thunderhead!!

Where do I start? My wedding venue fell through two weeks before the date. I was recommended Thunderhead, and spoke with the GM, Jake, who is amazing. The space is phenomenal. Jake took what very easily could have been a nightmare and went above and beyond to accommodate my nerves and my party's needs. It was absolutely beautiful. We only had around 40 people so there was plenty of space for a dance floor, buffet tables, and guests that didnt want to be in the thick of it lingered around in the idyllic patio. After the clean up of the party, guests made their way over to the bar area and found a fun and welcoming atmosphere. I cannot recommend this place enough, I got compliments on the space out the wazoo. Thank you to Jake and Thunderhead for allowing us to have our wedding there!

This brewery is really good. I was traveling to this town for vacation and enjoyed their famous and most fabulous beer - Leatherhead Red. The staff is very polite and friendly. They greeted us warmly. Prices are decent and most wonderful part is Bring your own food (something new for me).

I would recommend this place. A++

Service was awesome and the beer was pretty good. Location was very welcoming. Their Golden Frau Honey Wheat is a lot like a Blue Moon Honey Wheat, but with a better finish. The Prairie Peach was outstanding, and their most well known, the Cropduster IPA, is bitter but features a very clean finish. I would recommend checking this place out!

Beer is well done in my opinion. They have a wide selection. They don't take huge risks but that is ok since what they do is solid.

No food but you can bring in anything you want to eat or order in.

Staff is friendly. They enjoy discussing the beer and the process.

Bathroom is clean.

Prices are what you would expect.

Atmosphere is cozy/rustic.

Perfect place for the perfect beer. Their Year-round Leatherhead Red Ale is as good as their welcoming and respectful staff. If you have people visiting from out of state, this place will not disappoint. Take your own food and the rest they have got there from good beers to ultimate ambience. Much Recommended place.

Outstanding place! The beer is amazing, and Chris made the experience even better. I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for great beer and a good time in Omaha. The patio is second to none, their bar area is great, and the beer is the icing on the cake!

This place has a good variety of craft beers on tap. Your sure to find a beer you like. It's nice that they allow you to bring in your own food. They also offer board games for people to play.

I came here for a company party and the drinks were absolutely delicious! They had so many to choose from and I loved the atmosphere of the building. I would highly recommend it.

Selection of beer that will not disappoint. Entrance is through the patio on the north side. They have snacks like popcorn you can buy. They do have 6 packs you can buy, even mix a 6 at a great price. One of Bryan's favorites in Omaha.

Great atmosphere and great beer. They also do some really great events, and you can tell the owner is passionate about having an awesome taproom. One of the best breweries in town!

Nice place with a good selection of beers. They offered their own beers as well as some by other brewers. They have games to play, and when the weather is nice, they have a great outdoor seating area.

Very excellent service. I wanted a New England style IPA and was referred the Frost Warning. Very good. The there was a grapefruit IPA that was recommended and it was enjoyable.
