The Old Market

So many cool shops, eateries & history in the Old Market. We are undoubtedly glad we made this section of downtown Omaha a priority for our spring break vacation. So many of the buildings have a rich history and seeing the old passageway was well worth the photo opportunity with its stunning beauty. We visited on a weekday and it was so easy to find cheap street parking, I think we paid about $3 for 3 hours of parking. I suggest downloading the ParkOmaha app as it will save you some hassle from visiting a pay station.

My favorite place in Omaha. Went back probably 8 or more times while I was there a couple weeks. It just feels nice even if you don't have a goal. I love it

Wonderful experience especially in the winter with their Christmas lights. Lots of amazing shops as well. Must see it you're visiting Omaha.

A wonderful collection of shops and restaurants with some really friendly people! The architecture is very intriguing and charming.

I stumbled upon this passageway through an art gallery and thought it was such a cute walk! It has a great atmosphere - you almost forget you're in Nebraska. What a cute place for photos!

Love the feel of the old market. Love the cobblestones and old buildings. Lots of great local shops and food places to try as well.

A very fun and cute district full of very unique shops and restaurants! I am a foodie and also like to find unique gifts and things to add to my collection and this area is definitely the place for all of that. You can do so much exploring!

Love everything about the Old Market.... The old slides are still down there and just as fun as when I was a kid! Great boutiques and specialty stores, restaurants and even a horse and carriage if you prefer to take a ride rather than walking! Love love love it all!!

I love the old market, I make it part of my Omaha agenda. Lots of shops and places to eat. The passageway is gorgeous, as a house plant lover it's heaven.

This last trip sadly two major restaurants were no longer open, the district is looking for someone to fill those spaces.

I would recommend going on the weekend. If you are there on a weekday, wait til late afternoon or evening. We were there at 12noon on a Monday and it was dead! When I walked back thru closer to 4pm there were street performers and some foot traffic.

Charming shops with new and vintage items. Don't forget to go to the indoor sidewalk. It's beautiful!

Beautiful place definitely worth the visit. Lots of art good food and nice atmosphere. A little inside place to get out of the cold during the winter months! And still Christmas decorated

We went to the market for the goldsmith but there are a number of great restaurants

Still the same Old Market that I remember when I lived here in Omaha (1990-2010). I love Spaghetti Works and Billy Frogg's.

Love the passage way. Nice warm place to be in the winter. There are multiple businesses like restaurants, outlet stores and galleries. Only phone photography allowed here.

The Old Market Passage way is a cool experience year-round, but it's especially gorgeous when decorated for the holidays. I highly recommend eating at Trini's Mexican restaurant. Kind staff, excellent food, and very reasonably priced.

This is a magical place that I live spending time at. The eclectic stores and art galleries are fascinating amd the restaurants are good. The atmosphere is what makes it all magical....no matter the time of day or night.
