Hereford House - Leawood

This is where my husband proposed to me six years ago. Yesterday we had our Anniversary dinner here and EVERYTHING was amazing!! Our waitress was wonderful and the food was scrumptious!! Thank you for allowing us to relive that beautiful experience!!

We had a wonderful dining experience here. We were dining with a group of 6 including a toddler and infant, and everyone had a great time. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive, and the steaks were all cooked perfectly and delicious.

Hereford House is never a disappointment. Pleasant greeting (by our waitress, it turned out) & warm rolls and cold, crisp salad to start. The wide variety of entrees & sides came out together and hot!
(not all restaurants do this well) A wonderful atmosphere w quiet conversation continued. Desserts are just enough to top off the evening. Service is the best in KC. #bestbeef #bestsalmon #fish+chips

Valentine's celebration. Ordered of the special menu. Plenty of food, order came out perfect. Was seated next to a partitioned wall that would move if barely touched. I know there were people sitting on the other side so it made it challenging.

Got reservations for Friday night dinner, but it was fairly calm and still had open tables. We were seated in a side room, a bit quieter and great for spending hours talking over a nice meal. The server was kind, helpful, and patient as we leisurely took our time. Enjoyed the stuffed mushroom appetizer. The Ribeye was cooked as ordered, and the hearty meal was big enough to box leftovers and bag wine, plus order desserts to go. Finished the evening over coffee, never felt rushed even as closing time approached. Overall a really pleasant experience.

Getting a carry out order of a main dish and a couple of sides is a great way to manage dinner for 2 on a busy day! The stuffed mushrooms are amazing!

I cannot recommend this place enough! We were welcomed by very friendly hostesses at the door! Taken to our table and had amazing service from Kim! The presentation of our food was fantastic! The food was soooo good!! Ashlee is a wonderful manager! She really takes care of the guests! Oh and the drinks were also amazing! Definitely go here if you want a perfect dining experience!!

This is a nice lunch restaurant and the atmosphere is like a mid level steak house. But their steak burger is from another level. Excellent, juicy meat and crisp bun... large in size- perfect burger in my opinion!
I will be back!

We don't go out to dinner often, so it was a unique treat to have dinner at the Hereford House. The food was delicious, but most impressive was our server. Sherry was attentive, but not overbearing. She was friendly and professional - Sherry made our experience better than expected.

Good Food and service, the tired the chicken wings it was good but in the sweeter side, calamari was good and the salmon was good

They UNKNOWINGLY!!!!!!..UNKNOWINGLY!!!! hired a... community hating, extremely left wing activist!!! for the kitchen. To try and help out young man, ( whom lied about his background) out with a job. As it turns out was an ...bad person!! ,that committed unspeakable acts in the kitchen. This individual went from state to state doing the same thing!!. The HEREFORD HOUSE IS AN ABSOLUTE!!!! FINE PLACE TO EAT !!..PRIOR & TO THIS DAY AN ABSOLUTE WONDERFUL PLACE TO DINE!!!! THE KITCHEN HAS BEEN TOTALY CLEANSED!!! PLEASE ,PLEASE PATRON THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!.. A bad actor did some bad things unbeknownst to them.It is a fantastic place to eat.
Please go!!!... And FYI I do not know anyone that works there!!!! Or personally know anyone that is involved with the restaurant or works there.As an employee I am unbiased i'm just telling you the truth!!This is a extremely honest Review of a very fun establishment!!!! The situation is proof that Is evil works everywhere!!

They have private rooms for special occasions. The New York strip was delicious. Romantic atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back. Ribeye is also very good. Our server was great and on point with everything! Thank you for providing excellent customer service and being so attentive to our party.

10/10 experience from the food to the service. Our waitress’ name was Lauren. Hereford House is a KC staple and anyone who lives or visits here should try it for that reason alone. However, our most recent experience was perfect all around. I haven’t been able to say that about a restaurant in a very, very long time. I got the salmon and my wife got the meatloaf. It was all excellent. The stuffed mushrooms appetizer is one of the best in the city. I do wish their steaks were as cheap as they used to be. They’re pretty expensive now and I don’t like steak enough to pay $50+, personally. This doesn’t seem to be limited to HH though, so must be another market issue. For perspective, the salmon dinner was $26 and the meatloaf was $19. Much more reasonable and the meatloaf is delicious (seriously). Anyway, we had a truly great experience and there’s much more to Hereford House than their infamous steaks. Go give them your business!

I moved to the area 6 years ago, and this is the best steakhouse restaurant that I have ever eaten at. My wife and I ordered the diner for 2 with the wine pairing option. We ordered the prime rib. It was the best meal I’ve ever had in years. The dessert was great! Our waitress Krista was awesome!

Their service is amazing and their Brown Sugar Honey Dijon tips on their happy hour menu were so tender.

Great food, great friends, what could go wrong? Actually nothing. Our waitress was fantastic. There you have it, short and sweet.

Such a wonderful steakhouse, the building is beautiful and the servers do a wonderful job. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Wood grilled steaks are the best. Try the KC Strip. The cheddar ranch potatoes were delicious.

This location has super nice and professional staff, clean and well maintained dining areas, and a spiffy looking open kitchen.
It's a great place for those dining occasions where you're looking for something a tad more elevated than a typical franchise -- but not so elevated you feel obligated to wear a tie or anything.
