Platinum Salon & Spa Lenexa

I was needing a new place for a hair refresh, and I wanted to give Platinum a try because I had heard good things about the salon. I called to make an appointment with whomever happened to have availability at the time I was looking for, and it happened to be Karlie.

I was nervous to go into the appointment having had no personal experience with either the salon or stylist, but I was BLOWN AWAY by Karlie!! We talked through what I wanted, I showed her a couple inspiration photos, and she took it from there. During my service (2.5 hours - I have a LOT of hair), she was incredibly easy to talk to, kept me in the know about the balayage process, and made me feel very comfortable.

The salon as a whole was beautiful, clean, and had a welcoming, relaxing vibe to it. I'm sure any stylist would be a great choice, but I got so lucky to be scheduled with Karlie, and she's my go-to stylist for good now!

I had the most amazing facial done by Silvia. It was super relaxing and Silvia had a great energy. She made me feel so relaxed and my skin feels and looks great. I will definitely be back.

No wait to get appointment. Scheduled online. I got into my appointment early so I got out early which actually worked out well. Stylist was amazing. Esmeralda did my hair and did a fantastic job. There are so many options of what to get, it's hard to decide lol. I will definitely be coming back!

Theresa was great, listened to my hair issues and helped me find a style that works with my challenges. It’s been 3 days since the haircut and I still love it. The salon was clean, and it was easy to book and get in. Totally recommend and I got on the books for January already.

I followed Katie from another salon. She's the best. She really gives my hair a great cut. The salon was easily accessible and very nice. I appreciated that the other clients had a neighborhood feel and were treated with respect and professionalism. Hard to find these days. I've already made my next appointment!

Omg. I just had an amazing facial with Silvia! I did the age gracefully facial with dermaplaning. Silvia did a superb job with my dermaplaning - my skin is glowing! She made me feel comfortable and relax each step. I highly recommend her for your facial needs!

Honest review:

I’ve never been able to find one set stylist to come back to.. Unfortunately I’m a VERY and I mean VERY picky person when it comes to my hair! I can’t count the number of times I’ve had to come back to other salons to get it corrected because I’m never satisfied.

But this salon has changed that! Specifically Julie! She treats your hair with really good care considering she has done this for 13+ years.. I’ve had multiple stylists in the past constantly rush, tug, pull, and even touch my hair with their hands smelling like straight cigarettes... (no offense to those who smoke but at least wash your hands or use perfume!)

AND the atmosphere of the salon is classy and clean. I can’t begin to tell you about the prices. I’ve paid way more at salons that don’t even deserve 3 stars. This won’t be the last time I get my hair done there I finally found my hair stylist after so many years!

I have now been to this newly established salon twice. Both experiences have been exceptional!

First and foremost, the staff. They are so friendly AND knowledgeable. They had no problem answering questions and giving me advice on the proper upkeep of my new hair color. (They were not pushy or just trying to make a sale.) Bottom line is these ladies were so nice and really seemed to care about their patrons.

The salon itself is just lovely! I had a facial (which included a little steam time in the sauna!) on my first visit and it was just what I needed. Very relaxing environment. I will be making it a point to treat myself again very soon.

Do yourself a solid and try this place. You will not be disappointed!

Platinum Salon and Spa did a fantastic job on doing the hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids, and my mom on my wedding day! The prices were great for our low-budget wedding and the services were even better! They were so accommodating and fun! I can't recommend them enough! Thank you for making us all look amazing!!

Nice place and very relaxing. It's very difficult to go into most salons because I normally feel really out of place. I had Julie Lopez for a cut/style and she was very chill. She cared a lot about what she was doing to my hair, but was never imposing, judgemental, pushy, or stuffy. I felt right at ease and really like how my hair came out. Booking appointments can easily be done online and their payment system is very modern and quick. The prices are very fair. The place is clean, and in a nice area.
So to anyone with social anxiety, anyone that feels uncomfortable with modern salons, or you're a down to earth type, but still want a high quality cut at a reasonable rate, I would highly recommend.

I used Platinum Salon and Spa for my hair and make-up for my wedding and I do not have enough good things to say!
I had originally booked another person, but it ended up being sketchy and they moved things around to get my whole wedding party fit in for the day of the wedding. They did my trial and actually let me repeat my make-up trial when someone working at the salon left.
The day of the wedding was wonderful, they had the salon ready for us when we arrived and even got 9 of us hair and makeup done EARLY for my wedding. AND we all looked beautiful! My bridesmaids even told me they had never liked their hair and makeup as much as they did for my wedding
I don't have enough good things to day about them, they are amazing!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Lacie. She did an amazing job on my hair! The highlights she did really brightened my hair up. She was also very sweet. I will 100% be returning.

Holly is a great stylist who listens to what her customers want, gives recommendations and delivers great results. I'm loving my highlights, lowlights and cut.
