Barley's Kitchen + Tap

This is my second time at Barley's - Mary served me the first time, and Joe served me this time. They were both amazing, Mary made great recommendations and Joe hooked me up with some extra bread and veggies ☺ the food is amazing, the spicy chicken bites are actually to die for. Both times my pup Dexter and I ate out on the patio, the outdoor booths are perfect for him to lay next to me, plus they got him a dog bowl of water! Plus, sustainable packaging for my leftovers... we just might have to become regulars here!

Nichole is the best. Wonderful service, great beer and the food is good too. Plenty of TVs, they’ll turn on whatever game you want. With 99 taps, what else are you waiting for?

My husband and I had dinner here Sunday night and I don't remember his name but the male manager was fantastic. He checked on our table and made sure we were taken care. He informed us and signed us up for the rewards. He even took care of a birthday dessert since we didn't know about the rewards program. He deserves a raise!

This is one of my favorite places ever! The people are always so kind and the food is always amazing! Today I came here with my mama for a few drinks. We were immediately greeted with a smiling face and a happy environment! We sat at the bar and were served by Nichole! She was absolutely amazing! She was so kind and attentive! I never went without a drink. She made sure that she knew our names! Made us feel like we were friends rather than customers! Great experience and Nichole is a lovely person!!!

Run, don't walk, and order the chicken bites appetizer. I'm so glad it was recommended to me because it's not what I'd normally go for. These were fresh, incredibly tender, and the seasoning was absolutely magical! The beer selection is fantastic and the staff knowledgeable and fun.

99 beers on tap, including a couple of Brown Ales. Cheese Curds were delicious as was the Birria Pork

Mary was amazing on welcoming us- she went above and beyond on hospitality! We have certain allergies and she went back and checked ingredients diligently for us. She was amazing at recommendations, and was super kind all around. Thank you Mary for the amazing service- food was obviously good too!

Possibly one of the best salads I have ever eaten!! Waitress was the perfect amount of “make you feel welcome without being bothersome. It’s a good thing I don’t live close or I would eat here everyday! Thank you for the great experience. Carolyn

Excellent dining and drinking experience. Food quality was on point (as always), beer selection is one of the best and most diverse in the KC area, and the service is fantastic (always). The bartenders and wait staff are very knowledgeable about what they have on tap and are always eager to help. Overall this is just a great place to eat, drink, and socialize.

First-time here, really good experience overall. I ordered the Spicy Breaded Chicken Sandwich w/slaw. It was so delicious! The chicken was juicy with not too much breading and truly spicy without the typical Tabasco (Buffalo) flavor. Hubs ordered the double Angus burger. Surprisingly huge, much larger than expected. I also ordered the Chocolate Porter which of course was amazing! Overall a really good experience. Good food. Good service. Good clean atmosphere (I could do without all of the TVs). Good beer. The only true negative for me is the ever increasing prices on restaurant menus. This menu is al a carte - like so many others - which totals nearly $20 for one meal, not including drink. :(

Food is consistently good here. There are plenty of adult beverages to choose from. The service is good. It is a little pricey compared to a typical bar/burger joint but the food is well made and they have higher end sides. The blue cheese pub chips are amazing! I also like the chopped salad.

Joe was the absolute best server! I have eaten here many many times over the last 5 years since we have moved from Southern California and Barleys has the best mix of great food and atmosphere and what sets it apart is the superior service and hospitality of their staff. Joe really stands above the rest and makes you feel right at home. Ask for Joe the next time you visit Barleys! You’ll be happy you did.

Mary's service was stellar. It was the Drekker Tap Takeover, and Mary accommodated all 8 of us gracefully and delightfully. Thank you for having us, and thank you for the excellent brews and spicy hot chicken bites! It was the best time!

I come here every three weeks when I get my haircut next door. Nichole always takes great care of me and has new beers for me to try. Very friendly and welcoming. I look forward to going in to see what she has for me this week. I’m an ipa guy so there’s a lot to keep track of. Go see Nichole!!

Beer selection is on point! Although the online menu doesn't show you the 4 beers they are out of until you get excited to try them. Had the short ribs. Excellent.

Enjoyed my experience tonight at Barley’s!! Our waitress Mary was fabulous and made sure we had everything we needed(: We were able to sit out on the patio and enjoy the weather! Highly recommend- food was great too!

This place never disappoints! Friendly and fast staff. Very clean. Great drinks and drink specials. And the FOOD top notch for sure!

Nichole, our server, is one of our big reasons for our coming back at lunch. She is the best! Food is okay but her service is always excellent.

Service was a little slow taking our order but food made up for it. Vegetable sandwich highly recommended by my wife. Incredible beer selection.
