Medora Riding Stables

Being in the area visiting Theodore Roosevelt national park, booked a ride at the Medora riding stable. And we had a blast, the the horses were great to ride with no problems. Riding through the badlands landscape felt like you were in an old western.

Wellll, let me tell you about my horse Chico lol. He is one hungry dude. I don't know why because he's as plump as they come hehe. The ride was fabulous! The view was fantastic! The wranglers were very knowledgeable, and friendly, and did an amazing job... please tip them! I would highly recommend the 2 hr trip because it is well worth the money.

It was such an amazing experience! The staff were so helpful and calm and the horses were fantastic! It was my first time riding a horse and I wasn't nervous at all! We are definitely going back when we can get back to Medora!

Our family loved our trail ride at the Medora Stable. Our guide was lovely and very personable. The horses are very well kept and appear healthy and happy. The trail is crazy dusty, so bring sunglasses to protect your eyes.

Our two kids, 10 and 13 went out for a one hour horse ride and gave it two enthusiastic thumbs up. The staff were extremely friendly and this was a really nice place to check out for a horse ride and unique way to enjoy the badlands landscape. Lots of horses to see up close and horses were very calm. A border collie puppy also joined the horse ride adding extra entertainment for all. We came in the morning and were able to get a spot on the 3:30 ride, if you want to make sure you can get on a ride it's best to call ahead. Weekends book up very fast. We highly recommend this for kids and adults.

Great place to get a little trail ride. The horses were very calm and a pleasure to ride. You get to be up close with the magnificent landscape and would definitely recommend for everyone. Maddy was our guide and she was awesome!

Two of my daughters and I went for a ride and had a wonderful experience! The guide was friendly, experienced, and made it enjoyable. We had such a fun time! The horses are well-trained, so we felt safe. It had been a long time for all of us. We can’t wait to be again when they come back to visit me from Florida!

The guides we're so friendly and answered all our kids questions. I really appreciated that the staff allowed time for pictures with the horses and didn't rush us. The horses all had different personalities which made the horses so fun. The scenery on the ride was very pretty. Great experience. Definitely recommend. Worth the money for sure.

The horses are very well taken care of. Kenzie was our trail guide and was so friendly. She had a lot of knowledge about the area which she shared with us. I rode Winston. He was the best and has such a big personality. The dog Nash went on the ride with us which was so funny. They gave a lot of instructions on how to ride so even inexperienced riders would feel comfortable riding here. Guides do accept tips so make sure to have cash if you would like to do that! The online reservation system was very user friendly. The price was $50 which is the cheapest ride I have been on

Great experience while in Medora! The horses were in excellent condition and well behaved. If you're visiting Medora, you should certainly book this ride!

Great and probably only place for a horse ride near the south entrance to Roosevelt's national park. My wife loved the hour ride she got. They took her all the way up the mountain that over looks the town of Medora. Book in advance!

An amazing experience! We did an hour group ride up into and around the badlands. At around $50 per person for the hour I thought the price was pretty reasonable. The guides were all very instructive and friendly and the horses were a dream to ride! It was our first riding experience and it will not be our last. Thank you Medora Riding Stables!

My husband and I had a great time on our trail ride. It was on Fri July 7th for the 2hour 7:30 am ride. It was a beautiful morning with amazing views. Our guide was wonderful and she made us feel like we really mattered to her. Thank you for a ride I will never forget. Yankee is definitely unforgettable.

the trail ride was wonderful, especially toward sunset, all the wonderful Fall colors, wildlife (which I had trouble seeing🤭, but when I did, breathe taking🥰)
The staff were very polite, helpful and great for guides.

Our wrangler Beau was courteous and knowledgeable of the area. The views from the top of the butte were incredible. The horses are easy to ride and very healthy. Well worth the cost and we'll be back again, for certain.

Amazing Experience for my whole family! Gramma and Grandpa, Kids and grandkids...beautiful ride, gentle sound horses and amazing staff! I highly reccomend this adventure for anyone!

We go to Medora at least 3 times a year and we finally made it out to the stables. We were greeted by a friendly staff and a couple cute dogs. The staff was A+ on making sure we were taken care of and comfortable. Our guide was Beau and I recommend people go visit him and the rest of the staff.

Scenery was great, we went across the top of the butte. The way down was the best part. Steep inclines and switchbacks. I would highly recommend.
