Academy Sports + Outdoors

How can you not like Academy? Being from Texas, this reminds me of years and years of shopping for camping and fishing equipment and finding some pretty decent stuff for a reasonable price. I've even bought my share of sporting clothing from here, even to include golf shirts. They have a good selection of anything you need and it isn't priced ridiculously like Bass Pro, REI, or Scheel's. Yes, all those places will have a better selection of sporting items, but the prices are also all off the chart for me. I shop at Academy and get things for a much better price and a decent quality for my needs.

We couldn't find amo for months we came here and they had everything we needed! Plus we splurged on a gun cleaning kit that was surprisingly low for the quality of the kit. Bought it for under $30 and we would have spent well over 50 for it!

Store employees were helpful with a selection of the products available. Ended up purchasing a Ping pong table!

Went to Academy sports tonight to get my AFC Chiefs Championship shirt. Waited in line for 2 hours. The store handled all the fans so well. Over 500 people there. The staff was great and the check outlines ran smooth. The Chiefs are headed to the Superbowl. I'll be headed back to Academy after the Chiefs WIN the Superbowl to get another tshirt.

We came here for new shoes for my Son and left with new shoes for my whole family. This is a great place for sporting goods.

I went into Academy Sports to specifically purchase ammo and ammo cases. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of inventory they had. Really fair prices, as well. They were also running a veteran discount promotion, upon check out. I would definitely go back for more ammo, when needed.

We purchased a gun safe at Academy Spots in Olatha today, I can not say enough about the 3 men that helped us! Great customer service! 5-stars!!

I love Academy ever since they opened! They have lots of products and I am always able to find great prices on things I need.You can always find a good pair of shoes( name brand) on sale for about $50.

Academy Sports is a great place to shop for many items. I go for their work boot selection. Their prices are competitive and usually comparable to other sports-type stores. Their staff is always pleasant. You are greeted at the door with a "welcome" every time. They truly appreciate their customers!

Liked the selection of kids bikes. We were able to wheel one out of the store already assembled.

Went there for a youth girls' Tball glove, and it was in the wrong bin that was cheaper than the others. When checking out, we didn't want it because it was 30 instead of 20, and they honered their mistake. We will be going back to them in the future. They have a little bit of everything.

Easy in and easy out even during a busy time of year. We really didn’t need the help of any store employee’s, so I can’t speak to their knowledge or customer service. The store was neat and organized. They obviously take a lot of time to clean up customer messes, because I didn’t see any , even during Christmas shopping season.

Associates are always friendly and helpful when I need it. Definitely my go-to sports store.

High Quality + Low Prices = Victory for All!

If you have a growing child, trying out new sports, you don’t want to spend a lot of money on something that he/she might only do for one season or less.

Do yourself a favor and shop at Academy Sports and their website. If they don’t have it in stock, they’ll get it stock and even keep it up front for you.

Great selection of Chiefs, Royals, KU and K-State attire.

All of the staff here are very nice and helpful. I would like to specifically shout out Taro and Zach, they are both incredible at what they do. I had ordered a Kayak online and when I came to pick it up I did not have what I needed to load the kayak. They both very patiently and graciously helped me pick out what I needed and helped me get it loaded up. They were very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help me! Thank you Zach and Taro!

Product availability is high. They are getting a five star because when we went to the checkout at the store there was a line twenty people deep. Immediately they had three more clerks and we were out of there within five minutes.

The lady Ashe at the front was so very helpful. My order was all there at the store even though some things got mixed up online. Which is not anyone's fault at the store. She made it a smooth transaction and was very helpful fathering everything. Merry Christmas!
