Always great to go into a place with great customer service. Recommend a power washer and did not over sell. Best place for lumber and great delivery people. Couldn’t believe how fast they were and so nice.

Customer service was "above and beyond". I Ordered a custom Onyx lavatory (bath countertop with integrated sink) that arrived 1/4" wider than ordered on the left side, and it "appeared" 1/4" short on the other. They called Onyx while I was still there to get another one ordered...and THEN...after I left...they removed the thing from the box...realized it was not actually 1/4" short on the right side...it only appeared to be when nested in the packaging...AND they trimmed the right side that was too wide...turning it into exactly what I ordered...and THEN...Chad delivered it to me so I wouldn't have to drive back out to Olathe from Lawrence! I can't begin to express my surprise and deep appreciation for their thoughtfulness. Almost unheard of these days. I'll totally be back...even though I live in Lawrence.

Prices are competitive, but most importantly they have the most helpful staff of any lumberyard I’ve ever gone to. Service is first glass, especially compared to Home Depot and Lowe’s. Home Depot has people all over the damn place, but good luck getting the kind of service I get at Sutherlands.

Incredibly friendly staff, great looking store, and excellent grill selection! We called prior to stopping in and the representative we spoke with found the item on the shelf we were looking for to ensure it was in stock. He then checked on us while we were checking out and treated my son to some candy. Definitely don’t find that friendliness and service everywhere!

Just recently tried Sutherland's on two occasions and found wonderful customer service, knowledgeable assistance, and a clean, organized, well- stocked store. I'll be shopping here more instead of the "big box" stores.

Sutherland’s Olathe went above and beyond on a recent purchase for us. We needed a specific type and size of trim for our home remodel and it took multiple phone calls from me (not their fault - our indecision) to find the trim and get it all ordered and available for us within 2 days! They even went to the Harrisonville store to get extra stock for us to save us the trip. Christian was the one we worked with and he was kind and helpful every step of the way. Thank you Christian and Sutherland’s!

Lots of variety in the 6" mums on sale, great price!

Very pleasantly surprised to find lower prices than Home Depot on many items and a very friendly and helpful staff. I live very close, so this is my go-to hardware store! There reward system actually offers pretty frequent cash back.

Even though they just opened and are still getting inventory on the shelves, the variety of products is amazing! I found several things I'd looked for at other stores and hadn't found (including a light-sensing bulb for my porch), and everything was very well priced!

The staff were very helpful, the store was clean and well lit, and the products were arranged in a very sensible manner. I will definitely be back for the rest of my remodeling needs!!

Always has great service and great prices

Chad was extremely knowledgeable and patient in answering all of our questions. He spent over an hour with us sharing his knowledge. The employees also allowed us time to shop despite being very close to closing time. We will definitely make the drive to this store again.

Staff is always so nice and knowledgeable. We love how they care about their people and don't try to hide from their customers when they are looking for something. I can easily find what I need. So many unique things about coming here rather than going to home depot or lowes. I'd rather come here first everytime. I never get hassled about not wearing a mask(I can't wear one anyway). And they are so helpful and not condemning like big companies. I will always choose local and Southerland s is amazing!!

Customer service is truly great - really nice. Helped give me advice and cut wood to size for me. Helped me load it in my car even! Helped me in ways big box hardware stores would not. Thanks!

I recently purchased a Bad Boy Mower from Brent and Cody at the Sutherlands in Olathe. They were very helpful and super knowledgable about the mower. Cody was especially helpful and took all the time I needed to answer questions and show me the various features. I bought the mower Friday evening and Cody delivered it to my house on Saturday morning. I am thankful for the great service and awesome attitude these guys demonstrated, it made my purchasing experience easy and enjoyable.

Always friendly staff! Clean store and well organized. Everything you need from a hardware store Plus extras. Prices are great and they have sales that are REAL sales as advertised. This is local business at its very best.

Very friendly, helpful staff. I found the items I was looking for. The store is well lit, well stocked, and clean. The store is well positioned and I was able to make 3 stops within the same parking lot.

Sutherland's is my go to store for DIY needs. This is the one store that actually helps me find what I need. I have been ignored for years as a woman. Now as an older woman I'm invisible. Thank you for recognizing women do their own repairs too.

I prefer coming here over Home Depot and Lowe's. The customer service is great and someone always has an answer to my question. They have a wide variety of items from home decor to lumber to garden supplies.
