Superb bike shop nestled in Medora. We used their shuttle service. Jen, the owner, was so accommodating. Even though the shop is closed for the season in December, Jen met us at the shop and happily drove us to our starting point. Her local knowledge was spot on regarding route and bike recommendations.

Extremely helpful and friendly. They adjusted the headset on my gravel bike that I rode through the national park for free. They set me up with an excellent hard tail mountain bike rental and ride recommendation regarding current conditions on the Maah Daah Hey Trail.

Went on a group ride with kim from the shop. Best mtb ride i have ever done. Definitely intermediate + level for endurance and technical skill riding along drop offs.

This is a great place for bike rentals, tours, and gear! Jennifer was super helpful in matching us with the right mountain biking trail and bikes. We had a wonderful experience as a result. Great way to see the badlands. Recommend their super soft t-shirts, too!

Amazing customer service and support. Jennifer at Dakota cyclery helped us with transportation to the starting point on the Maah Daah Hey trail. She dropped off extra water for us at mile marker 119, at the cashe box, we started at around 11 AM, We were going to do 100 miles. Called her at around 8:30 PM, still haven’t reached our campsite yet. Told her we’ll be needing an early extract in the morning at 10, and she was there for us. She even brought us these amazing sandwiches for breakfast that we were talking with her about , the day before on the way up to the trailhead. It was an amazing surprise, to get these breakfast sandwiches that we didn’t even ask her to get us, she just remembered how much we liked them, from our conversations the day before. Very nice lady and staff, very helpful.

I had a flat tire on my e bike while biking in
Medora. I called the # on the window as it was evening on a Saturday. I was told to bring it in the next morning. I ended up with 2 new tires plus an extensive tune up! Very friendly knowledgeable and quick service at a reasonable price! Recommend this bike service!!!

The two gals that run the place were awesome! They figured out our experience and ability quickly and matched us with bikes and a trail in the area that was perfect for us. Cannot recommend enough.

The guided tour is a must! I asked to join any shuttle with room for one more fully expecting to be dropped off somewhere on the physically demanding Maah Daah Hey Trail and find my way back to Medora, but I ended up in a guided tour which was way more fun! Kim, the tour guide, warned us when we were entering a technical spot on the trail, shared the local names for the trail markers, brought us to the best spot for our skill level and sent us pictures and videos of ourselves mountain biking. The guided tour was the highlight of my week in Medora!

My favorite spot in all of Medora. I first visited, in their old location, over 15 years ago and it began a love affair with cycling. We rented bikes to go through the park and have come back many times in the years following to do the loop again. I bought a bike from them early on and have had them service my bikes as well. The staff is amazing! They have wonderful service, are always friendly and prices are so great!

Jen and the folks at Dakota Cyclery took great care of us during our five day excursion on the MDH. Without her expert advice we would never have been able to see as much of the trail as we did due to inclement weather. Don’t hesitate to use these guys they are fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip, it was worth every penny. Thanks Jen!

I did the buffalo gap trail as my first mountain biking experience. The bikes were very high quality and the trail was spectacular. They describe this trail as beginner-intermediate. However, I definitely wouldn't recommend this for someone without good biking skills as it is pretty challenging.

Jen and Loren were super helpful, service was the best I have ever experienced at a bike shop. We did the MDH with their shuttle service and I ended up renting a bike since FedEx dropped the ball and delivered my bike 7 days late. Good people, very nice small town feel.

The cable snapped on my Trek Madone and I was desperate to find a shop that could fix it. It broke when I was cycling in Bismarck but being Sunday I could not find a bike shop that was open. We drove to Medora and on the way I called Dakota Cyclery and explained the situation. Jen said to bring it in and they would fix it. I stopped by about 3 pm she was super friendly and helpful. They cleaned the bike and started working on it while we went to the motel. If you know the bike it is very difficult to change the cable as it is in the frame of the bike. Jen and here husband worked on it for the rest of Sunday and then 6 hours or so one Monday. They stayed with it and got the job done. I was so lucky to find such a dedicated shop that was professional, friendly and determined to help me out. I cannot praise them enough and I am not the type to praise! Whether you are renting a bike or need a repair I know that they are waiting to help you out!

Great place with awesome people. We were terrible mountain bikers, but we weren't chastised or made fun of. We actually had a great time for how hot and sick we got on the trail. Thank you Dakota Cyclery for letting us try something new!

Great shop! While traveling cross country we had a problem with a bike rack. Dakota Cyclery went out of their way to search old parts and found the exact component I was needing. Wow, great service, and a great shop!

Broke the chain of my REI Mazama Novara in SE Montana heading west to east on the Lewis and Clark trail. Had to hitch hike with the bike to the nearest bicycle shop. I had hoped there would be one in Glendive, MT, but that proved not to be the case. When the owners of Dakota Cyclery (Medora, ND) heard of my plight, they drove about 20 miles to the truck stop where I was stranded, and saved the day, replacing the chain right there on the asphalt parking lot. Dakota Cyclery goes above and beyond for their customers. They have earned all five stars, this review, and more.

On a xcountry bicycle trip with a frayed cable. They worked me in, fixed it up and on my way again, on schedule. Thank you!
