Crazy Good Barbeque - Bar & Eats

Can't drive by this place without stopping if I have the windows down because it smells crazy good! Really good hometown BBQ, full bar, variety of sauces... I haven't had anything that I didn't like! Burnt ends melt in your mouth!

This is the most underrated BBQ restaurant in the Kansas City area.

My husband and I have eaten here twice, but let me tell you - we’ve talked about it hundreds of times since randomly finding it on a Saturday afternoon in October.

“Remember those meatballs?” I ask him nearly every day.

“God they sound good,” he nearly always replies.

But it’s not just their meatballs that leave our tastebuds crying out at night for more - it’s their fries, sauce, and their sandwiches. I know we have barely touched the tip of the iceberg when it comes to their menu, but I can only imagine the divine experiences that await us.

We are consistently pleased with the BBQ and the Sat specials are always worth stopping in. We just had an amazing Sunday brunch. Every dish was unique, fresh, and scrumptious.

Stopped in for a late Lunch and it was fantastic. Ribs have such a great smoke ring and flavor and fall off the bone juicy. The brisket was plastic fork cutting tender. everything down to the baked beans was really great. Love the red eye bbq sauce. stop in and try

My first time to eat there was today. I got a sampler platter and everything was great! I liked all the sauces but my favorite was the red eye. I will definitely be back! Also the bar had an exceptional whisky selection!!

Smoked meat smell outside entrance got me excited. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices were comparable to other KC BBQ joints; cheaper than upscale places. Good food for a good price. The Burnt Ends had a nice smoke ring and a good amount of fat on them for excellent flavor. I could've used a little bit more bark on them.
The sides I tried were mostly average. Nothing really jumped out at me. The best was probably the cheesy corn which was thick, creamy and had corn sized bits of ham mixed in it.
The sauces were all sweet. The sweetest had a bright red color an tasted strongly of strawberry. The hot sauce was good. More sweet than spicy. The competition sauce was the best. Dark reddish/brown in color. A sweet KC type BBQ sauce with garlic, onion and several other spices I couldn't identify. Both sweet and savory.
Overall, Crazy Good Eats hit all the right spots. Friendly staff, easy to find location, large menu (lots more to try for me), well designed interior and bonus points for outdoor seating and the drive thru.

There is always great bbq to be had. this is one of those local hidden gems. This place should be alot busier than it is. Wife had half chicken Wednesday special. It was browned and cooked to perfection. She got one huge breast one leg, one thigh, and one wing. I had my go-to sausage sandwich with smoked brats. I have troubles getting brats I smoke to be this good and flavorful
I also had a side of fries. These fries. They season them so well. They are amazing this place never disappoints. Dine in our call ahead and pickup... Always hot and yummy. They now have their liquor license and serve all the cocktails you can imagine.

Always a super meal and sometimes a surprise added to change it up, a big family favorite 😋😋😋, gonna try the outdoor setting when the weather gets warmer for good. Love your grits wish you could add fried green tomatoes occasionally, they are so hard to find around here. Marsha Gadberry.

This is hands down the best BBQ in the KC area. The food never disappoints. The staff makes you feel like family. We have dined in, ordered carry out, and catering, it is all the same great quality. They are a family favorite!

Yum! This is down the street from us and we've done take out several times, and eaten there once. Service is always good and the food is delicious. My fave? The BBQ nachos!

Great food! Ordered the sampler, chicken, brisket, pulled pork, sausage, ribs plus a corn bread slice and 1 side. I got the fries. Everything was really good and ribs amazing! Wife got burnt ends which tasted so moist and good. Portions were generous so we had some for lunch next day.
Staff was great, mgr came to check on everyone and bartender very polite & helpful.
Went on a Saturday and they had a live band started at 5.

My husband and I have eaten at Crazy Good Eats many times. We love that they are in our neighborhood. The owners are friendly and know us by name. The food and service is always amazing. I love the relaxing atmosphere. They recently helped me organize a meal for all the teachers and staff at one of the local middle schools. The ordering process was simple and they gave several plate options including meatless and gluten-free choices. They were easy to communicate with and we look forward to working with them again.

The price is right at this small bbq joint! Their Saturday special is a sandwich, side and drink for ~$8. The food was tasty especially the burnt ends. The fries are crispy and one side order is enough to share between two people.

The competition sauce was my favorite. I was disappointed by one of the sauces (don't remember the name). It tasted exactly like generic sweet and sour sauce you'd find at any Asian restaurant.

Would return to try other menu items, especially at the price.

Have had carry out (easy, efficient online ordering; can pick up at drive-thru) and dine in several times. BBQ sandwiches & entrees, sides, salads, and dessert have all been delicious every time. Fun and thoughtful alcohol selections, too. Owners and staff are super nice. Low-key, casual atmosphere. Have also ordered their complete family-size, to-go Thanksgiving smoked turkey with sides dinners—excellent!

We had them cater for our CFA Supply staff in Olathe. Great to work with. Speedy communication. The woman who delivered was prompt and friendly. Wonderful feedback on the food (namely the mac & cheese). Happy experience all around. Would certainly order again.

Great little hole in the wall place. Came highly recommended to me and now I can see why. Food is fantastic! Split the Championship Platter with my kiddo, and we brought food home with us. Burnt ends were smokey and tender, chicken was juicy and hot, ribs were fall off the bone tender. I'll definitely be back at Crazy Good Eats! You should check them out!

Big fan of this wonderful local spot. Legendary dine in, takeout, and catering. My current favorite is the Lone Star Power - but be sure to check in as their menu is updated from time to time. The potato salad is lights out by the way!

They just added the bar, which includes an incredible selection of whiskeys for a shop this size.

Stopped in this last summer and I’m so glad I did! I found my new favorite spot in KC for burnt ends, coleslaw and cornbread! The service was fast and the staff was friendly.

Wow, ordered ahead for the drive thru! BBQ rueban sandwich on marble eye, sauerkraut and the dressing. Easy to eat in the Kia, with the to-go box. Corn beef super tender and tasty! First time for me BBQ Rueban! Won't be my last, maybe my weekly fix!

My company just catered in Crazy Good Eats for lunch. I had the brisket, ribs, loaded casserole and the Mac and Cheese. The BBQ and the sides were delicious. I will say I’m a picky Mac and Cheese eater and I don’t like many I have came across but yours is ranked up there with one of my favs. Also your hot BBQ sauce is amazing, touch of sweet and then you feel like heat kick in.
