Hatlee & Brae (Ice Cream, Coffee & Gifts)

This little ice cream shop goes above and beyond to make you a dessert that's fit for any gloomy day. They have pineapple dole whip flavored ice cream and I asked if I can have a shake made from it, this shake is exquisite and I highly recommend it. Their affogato is also a delight with vanilla ice cream and caramel flavored.

We stopped by this gift shop/ coffee and ice cream 🍦 shop so good! 😋 My family and I had waffle cones with the flavors: birthday 🎂 cake, coffee, chocoholic and truffle cheesecake ... Delicious!!!

After a day of hiking, we stopped to see a few tourist shops. Cute wooden walkway leads you to this gift shop and ice cream parlor. Fun things to look at. The place was super busy. Line for store checkout and Ice cream are one in the same. Amazing staff were cheerful and efficient. The portion sizes were generous while the prices were very reasonable for a tourist area.

Long lines, but totally worth the wait. The portions are really good for the price. Always have the best service. We come here every time we visit Medora.

Even though the line was long, the associates moved quick and maintained a great attitude. For 3 small dishes, which was 2 good scoops, and 2 bottles of water our total came to just under $16 which I thought was incredibly fair.

The flavors we got were Superman (the kids’ favorite,) cotton candy, monster cookie, white chocolate raspberry truffle, and salted caramel.

They have a small gift shop for you to browse as well.

Seating is provided both inside or outside on the covered walkway, we chose the latter.

Very yummy ice cream, cheaper than I expected for the portions served. Smoothie was well done too. If you are looking for ice cream after a long day at Theodore Roosevelt, then come to this place!

Two big cups of ice cream, two flavors each, the one on the right had Huckleberry and Strawberry Rhubarb. Both excellent. Service was quick and friendly.

Artisanal style ice cream made with quality fresh ingredients. Very tasty!

Quick and friendly walk in, grabbed a dirty chai latte, honey bear latte, they were both delicious and not overly sweet.
Also grabbed lavender& lemon bar ice cream, a cone of Carmel caribou & lemon bar, along with a side dish of huckleberry for the four-legged kid.
Overall prices were avg for the area and season.
The coffees were again avg for the cost of the area.
Total bil was $25 ( I'm not complaining at all)
We received prompt service, friendly customer service and good portions.

I had the huckleberry ice cream. I tasted the wild berry sorbet. Both were good. The portion was good. Price was what you expect at a very touristy place.

Came 1st weekend of May.

Ordered Vegan hot chocolate (off menu), and vanilla frappe (non vegan) - both were great!

This has to be the friendliest ice cream place ever! The owner is a complete sweetheart and the ice cream was amazing. A must stop!

Perfect spot for a coffee and fresh doughnuts before/after a hike in nearby Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

We ended up grabbing drinks and working a half day from their patio/porch area. The staff was so friendly and drinks were so good, we came back every day sometimes MULTIPLE times a day to get ice cream or a cold drink. Wish we had one back home, this place is a must stop. The Lemon Bar ice cream is out of this world!

Hatlee and Brae is one of three places we always visit in Medora...and does most everyone else. Best ice cream for miles and miles maybe even in North Dakota.

They had my favorite hard ice cream, Superman! I also had the honey vanilla latte and they made it in decaf for me!

They were so nice to my friends and I. We were there on a road trip and told them about our little adventure. I think they enjoyed it so much the gave us ice cream FOR FREE. Very cute little place and the ice cream was delicious. Would recommend, 10/10, would go again!

They have 20+ flavors of really good hard ice cream. We live in Montana & have two grandsons that go to school in Medora. Each year they let me buy
ice cream & pay for it with my Visa card. Makes for a nice hike for students and teachers. Awesome friendly owner & staff.
