The Lewis and Clark State Historical Site has a very good museum display of the key facts about their expedition. Numerous historical displays are there including portions of a log cabin, a replica example of the large boat used for the expedition and the various supplies and equipment needed for the expedition.
Well worth stopping by and seeing it.

This place is a gem, located on the Mississippi River approximately opposite its confluence with the Missouri. The visitor center is a clean, modern building with knowledgeable docents and good exhibits. There were few visitors on this early spring weekday. A good place to spend an hour or two. Admission was free, but I made a modest contribution.

Really cool displays about the Lewis and Clark team. The museum has a cut-away of one of the boats that was used on the expedition. Really made me appreciate the hard work the crew put in over the course of two years. The cabins displayed outside are old and collapsing in on themselves. They are closed and you can't go in them, so there is not much too do outside the visitor center.

Our school came here for a field trip this month-the kids loved Norman the dog, the outdoor tour of the camp, and the indoor activities! There is so much to read and learn! Highly recommend for a field trip or just an educational and fun visit!

Incredible place. Staff was very friendly. We all enjoyed the thought behind the displays. Lots of interesting facts. My kids enjoyed seeing the spelling errors of Lewis and Clark and seeing the different told they used to map out the West.

This place is amazing and has a lot of historical features here that other places around this place offer. Reenactment does take place here and I hope people visit here with family and friends.

This is an amazing place to go! You have to go! The exhibit was wonderful. There is a 12-minute video they show in the beginning (optional). There is so much to learn here. There was a Jr. Ranger activity journal our boys did, and they received a badge and were sworn in as a ranger for completing the booklet. So interactive! They had fun!

This is one of the best historical place in Missouri. They have no entry fee but I recommend to donate money on their donation box. It goes toward maintence of this place. It has small theater. They show 15 minutes movie about Lewis and Clark , and the life of people during that time. It has nice replica of boat which is belived Lewis and Clark first put on Mississippi River. It is worth watching. They also have tour guide and outside tour. They have replica of houses which is belived Lewis, Clark and their friends and families used during that time.

We enjoyed learning about the winter the Corps of Discovery spent in the area, how and what they packed in their river boat, etc. My kids loved the hands-on things, although they were unfortunately not interested in the junior ranger badge program!

Way better than we expected! The history of this site and its impact on the Lewis and Clark expedition is very interesting. We visited for an hour but could easily have been there longer. The "museum" is also very kid friendly.

Pretty neat place to visit.
I've never been there before today and it was neat.
There was a guy dressed in settlers clothing and fired off an antique black powder musket.
The movie about Lewis and Clark was very interesting.
I learned alot more than what I knew about them and the hardships of their journey.
