North Dragon

This is seriously the best Chinese food that I have had in a very long time. I have tried out multiple places around gladstone and a few other places close to it, but for the quality of food and the value for what you get, you need to try this place out! Portions are huge!!! I got 3 crab Rangoon, soup, a full large to go box of general tso chicken and a box of fried rice for less than $17.00. This place is freaking amazing!!! The pictures are from what I have leftover! Yes, I ate and this is what I still have!

I’ve been going here since i was a little girl (i’m 20) and they have always tasted amazing. I’ve never been disappointed and if i have the problem was solved then and there! my absolute favorite Chinese Restaurant in the world! please Continue to support you will not! be disappointed ❤

My family loves this place. Our favorite dishes to order are Chicken with Broccoli, Chicken Red Dragon Style & Kung Bao Chicken Oh & Crab Rangoon.Yum! Big servings & always delicious. Fast service & friendly staff. ***Update they are closing this year 2022. So sad😢

I have been eating here for 30+ years. Best Chinese food around in my opinion. I haven’t found crab Rangoon as good anywhere. We’re sad to hear they are closing at the end of the year. Happy for this wonderful family to be able to retire though! You will be missed.

This restaurant was so phenomenal. I can’t even explain the imprint that it has left on my taste buds. The wishing fountain is so fun for young children to make wishes in. Cathy is such a good employee and I couldn’t be more grateful for the phenomenal service that she has provided for my family and me. This restaurant has such great service and the food is out of this world, I can’t even get to explain how good it is. They even have carry-out, which on the tough days is so helpful. The bathrooms are so clean and organized. This place hasn’t been getting a lot of attention lately, and all I have to say to this is why? The whole Kansas City area, or even the whole world is missing out in this. I couldn’t be more grateful for what this restaurant has done for me. So please if you don’t have any dinner plans, please give this place a try, I promise you won’t regret it!

I loved this place. I was there a couple months ago and the restaurant is so beautiful and so is the food. I was mesmerized by the art on the wall. We came in and were seated immediately. The menu is overwhelming as there are so many dishes to choose from. The staff was nice. They were very patient with my mom as she is hard of hearing. They forgot our drinks, but that is partly our fault because we didn't even realize it until we were done.
The food was great, there was almost too much flavor, but it was very good. The proportions were humongous so you'll probably be taking a to-go box. I definitely want to return here and explore their menu.

Foods Amazing! Definitely a Favorite

I really enjoyed this place. The restaurant was really pretty and our server was so nice! The food was also really good and you get SO much of it for the price! Definitely a great place.

I get the shrimp fried rice with crab Ragu noon and everything is made PERFECTLY. The portion sizes are HUGE and the price is perfect for what you get. I’ve been going here for about a year now. If you want big portion sizes, great food, and a clean atmosphere north dragon is for you. I recommend all my family and friends and they are never disappointed. I doubt you will be either! Check them out, you won’t regret it. They are almost 5 stars for a reason!

When we moved into the Gladstone area we were concerned about replacing our old standby Chinese restaurant. We started ordering take out from North Dragon and I can now say with confidence that it is even better than our old standby. We have ordered over a dozen times feeding 2 -10 people each time. Everything has been delicious, well cooked and fast.

We LOVE North Dragon. Everything is really good but we live the Hot and Sour soup. Best in the city!. Really nice people and you never have to wait to get a table. Nice portions. And since it's not a buffet we don't over eat.

I found out about this restaurant from an IG post and I'm so glad I did. The service was amazing and the food was hot and delicious. Made date night with the man I love wonderful. The portions were huge so we got to take home leftovers for another day.

Have been here many times the lunch special is a great value and the dinner order is sharable, great egg drop soup and all vegetables used are always fresh and flavorful. Have never been disappointed with a meal here. Food is excellent, always do dine in but they also seam to have a large carry out following as well. Have even had a couple of birthday lunches and larger group (extended family) dinners here.

Great bang for your buck great place for family dining portions are designed that way. Two people can split in order quite easily. The crab rangoon is a must-hear! The staff is very friendly, the food is very authentic and by far some of the most delicious dishes I've had. When I eat there alone I have a meal for the next day a full meal. And I do not leave the place hungry.

To the owners of this place, know that I love you guys. Your food has always been excellent. The beef and broccoli is my go to.
I miss guys. I Havnt been able to come in recently. I miss you guys and I hope you and your family and friends are well and in good spirits

Best Chinese food in Kansas City!!!! In fact, it is our favorite Chinese food in America. My wife and I have been coming to North Dragon for over twenty-three years. What we love are the people who own and operate the restaurant, the wholesome freshness of the veggies, and the taste. The food is amazing and literally tastes the same today, as it did twenty-three years ago. Love this place!

This place is amazing great service they had trouble with taking my order over the phone but amazing customer service in person. They did kinda rush me a bit on the order but solid food options.

My new "itch to scratch," the General Tso's Chicken here. I was expecting (as I so often get at an American Chinese restaurant) mushy bits of meat that've been in sauce under a warning lamp for a few hours.

Nope. I got a plate covered in really generous (easily 6× as big as the mushy "diced" chicken cuts I spoke of before) some of the most flavorful, juicy chicken I've eaten…with ample sauce and perfectly balanced spice.

Care was obviously taken by the kitchen, and they've refined the dish, already a standard-issue guilty pleasure, into something absolutely exceptional. Do make sure it's on your itinerary.
