We love City Garden School. I know my children are loved, physically and emotionally safe, and supported to thrive into their most authentic selves. What a blessing to have children who love learning and being outdoors, and who come home teaching me new things!

As a parent, I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the wonderful experience my child has had at this school. The teachers are not only dedicated and passionate about education, but they also go above and beyond to ensure that each student reaches their full potential. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment that fosters growth and learning. I highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a supportive and inspiring educational community for their child.

City Garden is an exceptional school prioritizing students with love, care, and close attention. Highly recommended for nurturing education. The culture and way of teaching seems to bring out something special in the children, and you can see them thrive in their own way!

My son is going on his third year here. The small class sizes allow for the staff to get to know him on a personal level. They truly meet students where they are. My youngest son asks when he will be old enough to start as well. We highly recommend City Garden School!

City Garden is an amazing school. They encourage outdoor play and have sweet natural materials for indoor play. They stick to a regular schedule. They hold space for singing time and reading and serve healthy snacks. My son tells me at least once a week how much he loves the school. At an early age he has had a strong sense of himself and I know that attending City Garden only helps to nurture this part of him while also learning how to share and help others around him. And the outdoor play builds self-confidence hands down.

City Garden is a wonderful school! The children experience a rich and beautiful curriculum that nurtures their learning through children's hearts, hands, AND heads! The school community is warm and welcoming as well. I have never seen children so happy to be at school!

I love working and teaching at City Garden because it is a place where I feel children are nourished in all aspects of themselves, and they thrive. Our growing middle school program is a gem. It’s a positive middle school experience where adolescents can be who they are without so much social pressure. They are challenged academically and held to high moral standards socially. We are building a service learning program, and we spend lots of time outdoors. I love my fellow teachers too. I feel supported by our community of parents. It’s a great place to be a teacher as well as a student!

I cannot imagine my daughter attending any other program or school, as she has absolutely thrived at City Garden. She is embraced for who she is and encouraged to be her full self here. This school places a high importance on meeting children where they are while simultaneously pushing them to learn, to love learning, and to grow into the best version of themselves. There is a focus on the whole child- their heart, their hands, and their minds, which really allows them to fully immerse themselves in their lessons. City Garden does an incredible job of teaching a strong educational curriculum while also spending time helping children become good stewards of society and the earth. There is also the element of nature that weaves itself into the school day through outdoor play and learning, which I believe is imperative for young children, as they are designed to move and explore, rather than be stuck at a desk all day. The community at CGS at large is welcoming and warm; we have attended a number of school-wide events and they have all been incredibly wholesome and make you feel like part of a family. The classrooms are also warm and welcoming, full of artwork, natural materials, and ample space for children to learn and create. The teachers spend so much time and effort to get to know the children and my daughter looks forward to school every day (and has even gotten sad on the weekends that she doesn’t have class!). I truly wish I had been able to attend a school like this when I was a child, and am forever grateful that my own children have the opportunity to attend and learn in this environment. Anyone who is looking for an alternative to traditional schooling while still retaining the basis of a strong education, exceptional teachers, and a welcoming community, can find it right here!

From the moment we first visited City Garden with our oldest son, my wife and I have felt the love and support that that goes into this school community. Now many months into the kindergarten year, our lofty expectations have been far exceeded. We love that he gets to play outside, is intentionally educated in love and kindness, is allowed to mix with the older kids at school so often, is welcomed by name by so many kids and staff, etc. He is eager to tell us what he did at school and the share the art he creates there. It is a truly special place. Thank you City Garden!

My granddaughter has gone to CGS since second grade. She is now in 7th and doing amazing. The holistic educational approach is a fantastic alternative to our struggling and broken public education. The staff and teachers approach challenges with creativity, kindness, and wisdom. Kids are taught to practice techniques such as mindfulness, communication, truthfulness, and inclusivity. I honestly believe that if we could turn back time and have all children from boomers forward educated by City Garden School and its equivalents around the world, we would have a very different world, no doubt.

City Garden School is a life changing environment for my children. We transferred my two children here in 1st and 4th grade. They became calmer, more engaged in the world around them and excited about learning. My one child said "The teachers at City Garden explain things in a way that I love and just want to show you all the new things I know!" So grateful to this school!

City Garden connects children with the natural environment and local community at a time in when discerning virtual reality from actual reality is paramount.

I attended City Garden when it first opened. It is an amazing Waldorf based school that teaches students to develop critical thinking skills, learn to be creative and imaginative, and gives them an appreciation for their education and a desire to learn.
