The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

My parents joined this Church later in life (Mom: 16 years old, Dad: 24 years old) and, as such, none of our extended family are members of this great faith. So I grew up constantly hearing from well-intentioned external family members that we were going to hell. It was very scary and dark feeling. But every time I'm at Church, I feel so happy and at peace with God. There is a lot of misinformation about what members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe, and that sadly keeps many people from coming to see for themselves. I love this building.

There are now 3 congregations that meet at this building, so if you're curious and want to see a service, you can come at 9 am, 10:30 am or noon. The Church building is cleaned by members of the congregation, and it rotates every month which congregation is responsible for cleaning. We try to maintain a beautiful, clean place in which to worship our Savior, Jesus Christ, and God the Father. The meetings are first Sacrament Meeting where all members, including babies and children, sing hymns, take the sacrament, and then hear from speakers assigned by the Bishopric (congregation leaders). The first Sunday of the month there are no assigned speakers, and the pulpit can be open for anyone to share their testimony of Jesus Christ and His restored Gospel. Second hour is separate classes for children, youth & adults, and my daughters love their classes. There is no paid clergy, so everyone just volunteers their time and efforts. I love the people of Springfield, and I love those that join us Sundays. We're all just imperfect human beings stumbling through this journey of life, trying to figure it out. How grateful I am for the wisdom, input and sharing of faith that happens within these walls!

My family created great memories and felt the spirit of the Holy Ghost strongly when we attend worship services at this chapel. My children enjoyed all of the classes and activities that they offered. They had fun playing sports with other youth during the week. It is a great place to not only worship, but to participate in scouting events, and other activities for the entire family. The women's groups was especially inviting. They had great activities that taught a wide variety of skills in addition to teaching about the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This is a great chapel and you will love church here. The people are so friendly and sometimes will give you a hug as you are coming into the church. They are so close and it is like a family. The chapel was built when I was growing up in the 1980's and is very well cared for. It is the center for the Springfield Missouri congregation of the church, which has thousands of members. Several hundred members meet here every Sunday and they love to have visitors attend, especially families.

I went to this chapel for about 6 or 7 years. It was a great place to grow up and I learned so much here. I am so grateful for the leaders of the church in this area. They were very patient.

This is my church. The church leaders do their best to take care of us in this Covid nightmare. We sit 6 feet apart and every other pew. We wear masks. Unlike popular opinion, our church teaches Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. Come try us out!

Very loving church members who greet new members with smiles and a helping hand to help them feel more welcomed into their Church. They teach the work of our Lord and his followers.

This is a great place. The people here are kind and loving. They are genuinely interested in you and you can feel their spirit when you enter and shake their hands. It has special classes for kids, teens and adults. Visitors are very welcome

I love this church! It is a great place to learn and grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ. People are friendly and there is a place for everyone.

I love this place because of their efforts to strengthen core family values , teach gospel truths to create strong nuclear families and be true bondservents to Christ and their own promises.
