Not a huge selection of non fiction or reference books but plenty of fiction.

Great gaming and book store. Hadn't been in years. And still had everything we wanted when we returned. Will visit more often!

They do have an 💥amazing💥 selection of tabletop gaming stuff, minis, paints, dice, card games, rule books. Anything they don't have can be ordered in. This is THE place to go for gaming in Joplin.

An amazing place to find books. Such a wonderful place to play games and find board games and figurines for games as well! My favorite bookstore in town!

It is a wonderful place for gamers and readers alike. There are plenty of games to buy and enjoy for anyone who loves board games and table tops like dungeons and dragons. So many choices, and this applies to the books that are well taken care of with a vast verity to lose yourself in.

Love this place. Lots of stuff. They are pretty popular, and are really the only established gamestore with a good customer base and community in this area at the moment. I like the people who run the store. Wish they had some war hammer stuff in stock but if imagine its almost as expensive to stock as it is to sell xP so not a big deal. Highly highly recommend.

Always recommend anyone to visit here! From books, to boardgames, to D&D and Magic The Gathering! This place has so much! You can also get miniatures and paints, dice and cool trinkets!
The owners are also wonderful! They make it feel warm and inviting and are super helpful!

It's been years since I have been, perhaps a decade, but in the intervening years I've lived in small towns and large cities (well, just the one), and I have yet to find a gaming/book store that can approach the feel of this one. Whether a small business or a chain, none of them could compete. You will benefit from a great selection of literature and gaming supplies and from the knowledge of the proprietors. However, by far the most valuable resources to be found in Changing Hands are the conversations you will have with both the patrons and owners. I can't recommend it enough and hope to take a trip down memory lane soon.

They had reasonable prices and a huge selection. I found an awesome Christmas present for my daughter and a few things for myself. They even allow trade-ins on some of their merch.

This place is amazing and the people that operate this business are better than amazing. The owner operator man gave us two free packs of magic the gathering cards. Very kind. If you enjoy reading or games come check this place out.. highly recommend

I bought my first gaming supplies from this store back in 1996. Since then life has led me all over the country and I have yet to find a store like this one. I recently visited and the staff is still very nice with a great selection of gaming books, accessories, and cards. The book store has expanded and offers an even larger collection of books. It was really nice to visit again!

A little treasure grotto of graphic novels, boardgames, and even jewelry items can be found at this well-established... establishment. 😏

But, please, bring cash-only tho for purchases under $5.

Best gaming store in southwest Missouri. The owners are wonderful and have quickly become two of my favorite people as well as my wife's. They are kind and personable and will always lend a helping hand. A great place to shop for all your gaming needs!!

This is one of my favorite local shops. It is a staple of Joplin, and there are few longtime residents who haven't stopped in. They sell local history books and stock you can't find elsewhere.
The gaming section is a fun, inviting place, and they are always ready to see their customers. They carry a full selection of games and supplies.

The owners are incredibly nice and very helpful, having vast knowledge of all of their products and being great sources of conversation! I've been coming here for over ten years and have always felt more than welcome. Tons of wonderful games and books, and above all else, friendly and wise service. Highly highly recommend this wonderful store!
