Grand Falls

Visited this hidden gem on weekday, not much crowded. Its 10mins from both Galena,Kansas and Joplin,Missouri. Theres a limited parking space next to the road. Accessible from main road not much hike required. Can spend 30-40mins while in here. Happy Visiting

Amazing! Take sturdy shoes! These stones that you walk on are probably very slippery when wet. We went on a Tuesday. It’s was not empty. Certainly not a crowd. The geography is breathtaking as well as the falls.

Awesome place to stop, stretch your legs and enjoy the scenery. The waterfall is beautiful. Definitely worth coming here to enjoy some time walking around and taking it all in.

Always a lovely place to stop and spend time at. Has a few small beach areas where you can play with your kids or dog. Usually always well kept and clean. Has several areas to park at.

Beautiful area, I just wish there were more trash cans so that people wouldn't feel so compelled to litter. My and my boyfriend's pockets were full of trash we picked up after we walked around for about ten minutes, and there was no way we could get it all without a bag.

This is a beautiful site to behold. There is parking right off the road. It is very uneven ground getting down to the water. I would suggest good shoes. This is a good spot to swim at the bottom. I also noticed people fishing. This is a hidden gem.

We drove up an hour from Bentonville,AR and wasn’t sure if the falls would be worth it. They were! Easily accessible, easy parking! They aren’t handicap accessible unless you want to view them from the rocky lot at the top. There are no designated parking spots, just dirt and rocks. I’m 65 and not too steady on my feet, but with my husband’s help and hiking sticks, I was able to climb down. Next time we will bring swim suits because there is a great swimming hole. Wonderful views and a lot of fun. Warning: slippery rocks.

I love this place! This place is a beautiful place to just relax or even take professional photos! (I take my own) I love it out here. It’s so relaxing and peaceful. Whenever I go floating I start here at the falls and float down. It’s really nice to come before they close and sit and listen to the water. I’m from Florida so I appreciate just the sound of water a little more than most. Many people come from all over just to check out this place! Just be careful swimming/jumping off the falls if you ever do.

Beautiful place. I could stay here all day. We saw all kinds of wildlife in the short time we were there. Definitely going to come back next time we're out this way. I would love to be able to go swimming and to explore the area more. Clean and family friendly area.

The water looked like it was moving pretty fast in some areas, so make sure if you plan to go swimming to have life jackets on hand if needed.

Beautiful place, one can stay whole day here just by looking the beauty of this place …water is moving so fast in some areas and at some it’s slow so that toddlers can also enjoy ..we went with friends and enjoyed a lot there …my little one had a great time there …it’s a must place to go with kids/toddlers…

Such a peaceful scene. Was so glad my family found time to stop by this beautiful attraction. Has small pool for children to play in. Enough space to actually set up and have picnic a falls. Not hard to find. Parking is limited. Wear appropriate shoes rugged terrain and slippery rocks in water.

My husband, children, and I stopped at Grand Falls on the way home from Tulsa, OK. We stayed about 20 minutes and loved it! Our kiddos got to get their energy out, and I got to take precious pictures!

I was greeted and treated with love and respect by the all staff and residents during my stay. We all came together as a team even through the transitions of graduates and newcomers. It was an incredible experience that helped to guide me along MY path of continuing recovery as well as several others that still stay in contact with myself and eachother. It was fun. It was liberating. It was informative. Above all, though, it was a safe, home feeling environment that brought me back from the grave.

I mean..... It's a beautiful waterfall in the middle of Joplin!! I've been coming here since a kid with my dad. Fishing, swimming, finding the coolest rocks for our rock garden. This place never gets old. It's definitely a good peaceful escape to this big busy concrete world. To just sit and listen to the water and your surroundings

Always a pretty place to stop.
In the warmer months people often swim here. Great spot for pictures.
Family fun. Definitely bring towels, sunblock, and good and drinks. It's free. There's is no picnic tables or bathrooms.

Beautiful place Didn't get to stay long or actually spend a good bit of time like a lot of people that live in there but we were visiting a friend and Missouri And they took us thereBut it looks like a fun spot to bring the kids toYou can kayak down it or tube there's a few other falls as far as I understandIf you're in the area at least go check it out the next time I'm back visiting those friends definitely will be going back

The sound of the water rushing over the falls is intoxicating. Then to walk a little further down the stream where there are some rapids and to sit and listen brings me peace. It is an experience best shared...
