Main Street Books

Great locally owned bookstore, reminds me of Half Price Books in Texas which I really missed. I've lived in ND seven years and make a point to stop in and browse when I am in Minot, I have found some great gems here. They have discounts for teaching supplies too, and you can get in store credit for books. Awesome.

Great locally-owned bookstore with fun events. Love that I can listen to audiobooks thru Libro.fm and still support this business.

I love this bookstore. I will go out of my way to order a book through them so I do not have to shop at the "other" retail giants. The store has the perfect layout and atmosphere for book explorers. I love the kumbuchas! And the kids love the kumbucha floats. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful.

The coolest little bookshop in the Midwest! I was so excited to find this little gem in the heart of downtown Minot! They had a bit of everything, plus a cool storytime/author reading space and a fun atmosphere.

Pretty well organized into sections, space enough for my blind but to get around and tons of fun stuff, of which are a lot of different kits covering a bunch of stuff, I bought the crochet one.

Noticed another review, nobody was pushy, last time I was in just scouting for hobby stuff, mentioned that and was offered suggestions, but that's on me for asking regardless.

Anyways, 10/10, will def be back to pickup the weaving kit if I ever get this crochet thing down.

We love Main Street Books! The kids and I stop every time we are in town.
We have been coming to this store since they were in their original location. My son was little and we played a lot with the toys while we checked out the books.
The selection is awesome. The employees are kind and personal. The store is clean and well organized. They have everything we need. If they don't, they'll get it.
It's easy to say... we love this store!

Support your local book shop! Way cool and friendly, helpful staff. Why Not publishing with Books by Max. a local artist and author, musician has a portion of the front of the store and regularly does book making classes and other stuff for kids.

I LOVE this book store! It’s really well organized and it has a very welcoming design and layout. Their children’s section is where they really shine, as well as having the biggest and best selection of Calico Critters toys I have ever seen anywhere.

For sure the best book store in the area, fantastic home town, small, local business—NOT a franchise. Owner has her eye on ethics and sustainability, and the store itself is a true boon for the community, including employing many local folks.

Great atmosphere, excellent selection, used books too, free coffee, good and interesting selection of toys as well.

Quiet, friendly, cozy, warm, well-lit, really cool building. Have been going here since they opened. Friendly staff. Owner is wonderful and is there most of the time if not all the time, passionate about her store, books, reading, and her customers.

Main Street Books is awesome! Their collection of used books is excellent - great pricing ($1-$3). The staff are so fun and friendly. If I lived anywhere near Minot, I would be there weekly!

My all time favorite bookstore! The store clerks are so nice and helpful. The selection is huge and the owner offers rewards and discounts that are rarely found among small booksellers. If you can't find the book you need there, they'll order it for you! During the pandemic, shopping from the store website has been easy and a great help. Thank you!!!!

Great to have a cool book store in the middle of Minot. Good selection of books and toys. Great place to take the kids shopping and I am always able to find a book or two for myself. If they don't have what you are looking for they are always happy to order it, and the service is always great. I feel it is important to support local businesses like this so they stick around.

I am so happy there is an independent book store here in Minot! The atmosphere and selection are awesome...made even better by the availability of delicious komboucha. And it’s easy to ask them to order books I am looking for but aren’t available in the store. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I hope everyone in Minot appreciates this gem!

I take my kids there often to peruse through any new reading material, games, or learning aids. The atmosphere is really nice and the staff is really engaging and helpful. Great experience each time we visit.

What a great find! I loved the selection of kids' books. I ended up grabbing two great books for my Grandson.

Great Place. It's hard to get Sharon out of there. We got Sophia's birthday gift and some books for Nora. I like to hang out there because people think I can read.
