The Starving Rooster

I went to The Starving Rooster yesterday for the first time after hearing that they have the best pizza in Minot.
THEY. DID. NOT. LIE.
The pizza is ✨AMAZING!!!✨Amazing. Did I say amazing? Because I mean AMAZZZZING. I ordered 6 different pizzas and each one was delicious I have lived in major metropolitan areas and eaten my fair share of pizza and out of all the places I’ve been this is definitely one of, if not my new favorite and by far the best place for pizza in Minot. I had a piece in my car, and when I got home I had a piece at room temperature and today I took the advice from what I’m assuming was the owner.. (She even took the time to tell me how to reheat it since I live out of town). Although, it was even great cold! The crust was crusty on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Lots of toppings and huge chunks of sausage and slightly crisp veggies and look at that cheese pull!! The staff seemed very friendly and attentive to their customers that were dining in. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and chic looking.
I can’t wait to go back and try their other dishes. They definitely have a new loyal customer.

Great spot for brunch and dinner! We had the breakfast nachos (potatoes and all of the toppings) for brunch and it was so good! We also tried one of the breakfast pizzas and it was superb! Can’t wait to head back. My favorite restaurant in Minot, hands down!

Busy place, we were asked to wait as they had to clear some space. The wait was short, probably less than 5 minutes. The food was great, service was excellent. I'd eat here again .

Really cool place with great atmosphere and great staff. They have a great selection of draft beer, several specialty mixed drinks, whiskeys, bloody marys and martinis. There is a kitchen for food and several TVs for sports. Also had outside seating on the edge of a revitalized historic downtown.

Lots of options for pizza! Would recommend for a beer and bite.

I got the white rabbit pizza and it was delicious! I had a side of the Thai chili sauce to dip it in... So good! The potstickers were also delicious.

Stopped in to squash a pizza craving while we were in town. Got the artichoke dip and 4 pizzas (2 brick oven and 2 flatbread) to share between the 5 of us...plus a kid's pizza for the kiddo... Dip was really good, i would recommend just the bread as the chips (while good on their own) overpowered the flavor of the dip.
Crust on the pizza was good. Pizza was basic, but yummy. The kiddo devoured his pizza, so bonus points there!
All in all, a great pizza joint.

The food was AMAZING!! We will be eating here every time we travel to Minot! It was a little cold in the building (we were sitting right next to the windows too so that probably had a lot to do with it) but even with it being a little cold, the food was so good that it doesn’t matter.

This is honestly one of my favorite places to eat in Minot. The food is always amazing, and the servers and employees are so sweet and perfect! Would recommend to anyone.

Updated (June 6, 2021) I don’t even know why it took me six months (after arriving at Minot) to visit this place. Great ambiance. Amazing food. Quick service. We ordered Starving Rooster pizza, Pork Belly flatbread pizza, and Thai chicken salad and drinks (around three). Roughly around 50~$, which isn’t so bad coz the drinks prolly cost 15-17 and the rest amounting to 35 (might be a pit pricey for some) but the taste is awesome. There were only two of us so obviously we had leftovers for to go and stretched for about two-three more ‘meals’. So NOT BAD, at all :) Will definitely order Pork Belly pizza again. Military discount (10%) accepted btw.

Great time, good food! I had the gluten-free crust, and it was one of the best gluten-free pizzas I've ever had!

Gotta say this place was surprisingly pleasant. It had a really nice atmosphere 👌 👏. Seems like it would be a perfect place to go to after a long day to just kick back and relax with a good meal and a beer 🍺 😀

Had a great lunch here...simple fun place. Very clean, nice people, and yummy food. Prices are about average. Get the Chocolate lava cake! Yummy

Omg! Great food! Great service! Definitely will be back! Only thing, limited menu, pizza, sandwiches and a couple pasta dishes. But so delicious!

The starving rooster with all it's good reviews brought me here while on business and it was worth it. I had the TSR NA (non alcoholic) strawberry cream soda, and despite this place being primarily known as a pizza restaurant, I decided to order the open fire roasted steak stroganoff that came with a salad of your choice, I chose the house salad that came with ranch in a chilled cup as to keep the dressing cool.

One of my favorite restaurants in town. Their buffalo chicken dip and buffalo chicken pizza are amazinggg! We’ve been here several times, so the only real downfall is the service. It’s a hit or miss.

Starving rooster has booths, tables, and a bar. Although the bartender was confused about how to make a b52 shot, he welcomed feedback. Solid service, exceptional food, and a bar atmosphere that crowed welcome to the great north. The garage and historical bar gets 5 stars for providing a superior experience.

Great staff great food great decor. Never have a complaint! Pizza and the Cuban is top tier!
