I had my daughter at this hospital. As far as labor and delivery they have a pretty good unit. All nurses and Doctors were friendly and we both received the care that we deserved. This was however 9 yrs ago and some things may of changed since then.

Recently had gallbladder surgery removal. I was on the 4th floor with the Bronze team. I had the best experience I've had as far as hospital stays go. I honestly believe that everyone of the nursing staff, doctors and anesthesiologist department, recovery and all who took care of me have angel wings. Hopefully won't have to have any more surgery, but definitely know where I would want to go. Thank you all!!!

Had to take my daughter who has CP here. We had a great experience with everyone being so attentive. She underwent a colonoscopy and we couldn’t have asked for better care.

I am patient at this hospital for over 50 years. Only complaints is putting you in the waiting Room and leaving you in it with the door closed. Just stillness and quiet. It's nerve wracking.

Went to the cardiologist on the fifth floor, easy parking and it was a relatively quick in and out appointment. Doctors and nurses were very nice and knowledgeable. Had to have blood drawn too and I could do it right there at the hospital, no need to go anywhere else. Overall enjoyable experience. Would recommend.

I go to the weight loss clinic at University Health and I have to admit that I have nothing but Great things to say about the clinic and Dr.Linquist. I am so blown away on how much the staff goes above and beyond with the care of the patients and Dr.Linquist is the best and I highly recommend him as well as the clinic.

Specifically, the orthopedic office:

While I’ve spent little time with the actual doctors, I have had a great experience here. Notably, Ron the orthopedic nurse is awesome. I fractured my fibula and I was a bit nervous, as I had never had a cast in my 33 years. At first, I was a bit intimidated by Ron, but his bitter sense of humor quickly won me over. Then, watching him build the fiberglass cast on my leg was like watching an artist at work. He worked deftly, and when he cut the top off over my toes, I didn’t even question the saw that seeming materialized in his hand.

When my cast was too loose after four weeks with swelling down, Ron fit me at a moment’s notice. I was in and out with a walking boot in less than 30 minutes. If ever we have good health care in this country, Ron will fit right in.

Thanks a lot Ron! You rule!

Oh yeah, everyone in the office treated me like a human, which is no small compliment in my experience.

I had been in and out of the ER a few different times during an abusive relationship; not only the ER nurses but also my nurse in oral surgery... they all sensed something wrong. They didn't take my word when I said I felt safe. They knew something was wrong. And they started getting me the special attention I needed. Not just medical, but security, a social worker, a bridge program that works specifically with our local shelters for individuals like me and my family.

One day that relationship ultimately landed me a stint in the pin haha

I met my first nurse Kathryn (Kath) at 4 am. She made me feel so comfortable and safe and cared for and I was beside myself glad I got an amazing nurse. I was terrified to meet my day time nurse!!! Hahaha. So, I had a couple day/night time nurses through out my stay, but I can honestly say when I met Connie, she took care of me like my mother. I felt so comfortable with her over just a couple days we were sharing pictures of our families.

From security, to housekeeping, to Dr's and nurses. Shoot even the Walgreens down stairs! They treated me and my family like their family. God bless you all for saving my life ♡

I would give 10 stars if I could. I got Top surgery done by the AMAZING Dr. Alyward, and probably the best Assistant known to man, Cicely. They make an amazing team, and made my experience so personal to me ( in a good way). If I had to do it over, I would choose here every single time.

Their ER was top notch! After I went to two different ERs with little to no help, Truman Medical Center really stepped up! They ran labs, did a CT scan, got me on IV antibiotics, fluids, and steroids. Even had the oral surgeon come talk to me. They were able to treat me and calm my fears about my swelling and pain. The nurses were so nice, and the one that did my IV was the quickest and most accurate poke ever, I hate needles and she made the experience not so bad, and was the sweetest person. My other nurse was great about meeting my needs and checking on me. They made sure I was comfortable with a blanket, ice pack, lights off when I needed, and everything. If I had a request or question they got an answer for me quickly and even provided me crackers to take my antibiotics. I had to be there 8 hours and as far as a hospital visit goes it was a great one. From the moment I met the receptionist till the last time I talked to the doctor and nurses, I knew I was in capable hands. I also got to watch a Harry Potter marathon on the TV so that helped the 8 hours of treatment 😉 Hopefully I don't need your services again but if I do, you will be the only ER I go to. Thank you for your hardwork and taking such great care of me. Even your security was really kind and helped answer questions. Good good people here.

I wanna call out the ER dept and associated members for being so helpful and considerate to my girlfriend and I after an agonizing event.

Spencer/Christopher (NP & RN), Macy and Beth who conducted the CT, Shelia in registration, were all fantastic and anticipated our every need. While being in the ER is never a jovial experience, the team brought a level of professionalism and compassion that should be exemplified.

I have been seen and cared for at University Health TMC many, many times over the course of several years in their ER, Inpatient units, and clinics - to name a few. Not once have I had a negative experience. Everyone is so compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable/skilled. UH TMC has always been there for me and I will continue to seek health care there without hesitation.

I give a 5 because of the other clinics inside. However the E.R gets a negative 5 I was there at 11a.m and left at 645 p.m and still did not see a Dr. Was it that I could not pay the 300 dollar or because my religion was questioned. I hope I can get in to see my Cardio soon.

Absolutely hands down an amazing oral surgeon office. If you need work done on your teeth, this is the place for you. I've had pain and trouble with my wisdom teeth for the last 4years and finally was able to seek help, and I'm glad I chose here. They walked me through every step, and made sure my husband was aware of everything before and after my oral surgery. They answered all my questions and now all of my pain has gone away thanks to them. Their office is clean, staff is friendly, and nurses go above and beyond for you.

I had oral surgery on Friday with Dr. Popper, Kendra, and Lisa as my care team. They are excellent and did a wonderful job. I had a complication post-surgery and they were able to get me right in to help me feel better, which I do now. I would refer anyone to this office.

After I got my braces off (more than 10 years ago) I was told that I didn't need to worry about my wisdom teeth. About a year ago I started having horrible pain that would come and go. Two of my wisdom teeth started to come through, one of which was completely sideways. I finally saw an oral surgeon who informed me that he wouldn't take them out because the sideways one was sitting on a nerve. In fact, he estimated a 90% chance of permanent damage if it was taken out. After suffering for several more months of pain, I decided to get a second opinion. I went to university health and saw dr David Phan. He was straight forward with all the risks, but seemed confident so we decided to take them out. I am so glad! It's been a week now and I'm feeling almost as good as new, with zero nerve damage! I am so happy that I don't have to worry about this anymore. I definitely recommend the oral surgery clinic!

I had top surgery preformed by Dr. Aylward in may of 2018. My experience with Dr. Aylward has been, from the begining, one of trust and respect. She, and all of the crew at University Health, from the start were very professional and respectful of my position as a trangender indevidual, and making sure all my questions and concerns were addressed. Dr. Aylward gave me her personal number in case I had any questions prior to surgery, and overall I felt such a motherly love from her. She has a deep level of concern and care for your recovery. During recovery I had no pain, and even after surgery I was able to be pretty mobile and self sufficient. I really think Dr. Aylward is a true artist. All of her results are amazing!
