Fantastic food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend and definitely will return and take clients. A really great experience and I wanted to try everything on the menu!

Finding a nice restaurant in Bismarck, North Dakota is not easy. If you’re in Bismarck, and looking for a restaurant with a little bit of atmosphere and good food, this is the one.
We ran into some gentleman and chefs on the street walking into a restaurant. when we asked if they had a menu we could look at one of them said “yup posted outside, just like in the big city“
We checked out a few other places, but ended up going back to pirogue. We were very glad we did. We made contact with the chef who we had spoken to earlier and found out. He was the owner “Stewart“. He came out and spoke with us for quite a while, and had an interesting background.
We had an excellent meal , my girlfriend had the walleye which was tremendous and I had the bison Medallions, which were excellent. Both were served with a browned barley and very good seasonal vegetables.
I was server was Andie and she was so nice. All in all an excellent restaurant.

From the phone call to make the reservation, to leaving after our meal, the entire experience was phenomenal! Our server was such a blessing. She was kind and patient. Even when we were there after 9pm (when they close) she was gracious and never rushed us! She even made sure we got dessert! The food was heavenly. One of the best dining experiences we've ever had. I am so grateful we found this gem here in Bismarck.

An incredible dining experience. Everything was prepared with exceptional attention to detail. All courses were delicious and the presentation was flawless. Absolutely phenomenal! The food was truly delicious! Our waiter was very good too. The prices are higher but we were looking for a higher-end experience for our anniversary. I had the salmon with orange rhubarb sauce which was to die for it was so good. My husband had the breast of chicken stuffed with smoked cheddar and that was fantastic. I had the creme Brule for dessert and it was the best ive tasted in a LONG time! I absolutely recommend this place! 10000/10 👌👌

Nice restaurant, great atmosphere for a romantic evening dinner. The bison medallions we're pretty good, but the walleye was incredible! Highly recommend stopping in for a nice dinner in Bismarck!

This was a lovely find in Bismark! Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable, the cocktails were superb, the entrees cooked to perfection (especially the walleye), and the desserts super yummy! Such a gem!

Food was amazing! Order the Rabbit Spoetzel (pictured) and then I had the Bison Medallions and the wife had Swordfish for main dish -it looked so great we forgot to take pictures! ...and tasted even better!! It IS abit spendy, but if you like great food -dont worry bout $$$ bill

The service and food were top notch. My mother and I went for her 70th, and we were treated so wonderfully. The watermelon salad is a must! Thanks to all of you for making it a great experience.

Nice place, great atmosphere. Our service was top notch. Portion sizes are nice for a multi course meal. I had the cucumber Salad, Scallops, and a Creme brulee. All were fantastic

The beet salad is the best I've ever eaten. I've attached a picture of beet salad Couldn't wait to take picture before eating the beet salad. So, you didn't see the the presentation, which was great.

The pot stickers are fresh and very tasty. Haven't yet had a bad entree. The service is excellent.

Good Food but even better the attention!! Great dessert’s too, only needs a Espresso Machine!!

Showed up on a Saturday night without a reservation expecting to wait for a table. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated within 10 minutes! As always the food was delicious! I had the chicken pot pie which was the perfect meal on a chilly rainy evening. Everything was amazing. The rubarbtini is a must!

I had a NY steak and it was done medium rare and seasoned just right. It was a delicious cut of meat. My wife had a wonderfully tender pork chop.
Others had salmon and Parmesan crusted walleye and all said the maid dishes were very good. The atmosphere was ok not anything spectacular. The service was a little inattentive but overall good. The server had a couple mis-steps I noticed but others didn’t. There is room for improvement in placers but it is nit picking stuff. This is a really good place. Also, we didn’t get dessert as we were very full after a leisurely dinner and drinks. It was really good.

My favorite place in town! They’re always switching up the menu and everything I’ve had so far has been delicious. Definitely save room for dessert!!!

It was definitely different, the waiting staff were very friendly, and prompt with the food, filling beverages without having to be asked. I went to use the restroom, and she kept our food warm until I returned, so we weren't served cold food. It was a delicious experience, even for my very picky palette. I highly recommend checking them out, especially if you enjoy new experiences, you will not be disappointed. It's a little on the expensive side, but it's also a high end feeling restaurant. Absolutely splendid. A great place for sophisticated dates, first dates, special occassion etc. It was a very romantic experience. We had our 1 yr anniversary there!

My wife and I just went for our anniversary. It has been a while since we've been here, but everything was just as good as I remember.

We had a few of their specials; the smoked duck breast with pickled cherries, as well as the dill and cantaloupe gazpacho to start; my wife had the grilled halibut with a pistacio vinnegrette and I had the pork chop with rhubarb mustard; we finished with the creme Brule.

Our server, Tony, was incredibly attentive and helpful with food and drink selections. I can't say enough for how wonderful of a dining experience we had.
