Genuine Auto is top notch honest and trustworthy hands down! My vehicle threw a code for the catalytic converter. I had been being stalked and filed a police report concerned damage had been done to the car on account of the timing. The day the code happened one of those following me had been in my neighborhood behind my car. This would have been for genuine auto the perfect opportunity to rob me blind.

Other shops: You’re definitely going to need new tires, set of rims, redo all the undercarriage and maybe even just a whole new transmission for $xxx,xxx.

However, I was only charged for the diagnosis and although it was ironic the perp and code happened same day, the mechanic let me know it really just appeared coincidental. And that the code meant it was not running smooth but that it had not been damaged and did not need to be fixed right away. I am grateful to the shop because I love my vehicles and I now know my baby is good for the moment and I know who I will go back to to fix the converter when it becomes an issue. I appreciate transparency, integrity and honesty-a rarity in business structures and this happens to be a good shop.

We were extremely satisfied with our experience at Genuine Auto Repair. They got us in right away, diagnosed the problem quickly, and did a great job communicating with us. Instead of first running diagnostics on the”check engine” light, they evaluated and replaced the battery, which took care of the check engine light. This approach saved us the diagnostics charge, which we appreciated and reinforced our trust in this business. From this day forward, we will only use Genuine Auto Repair for our automotive mechanical needs. Added bonus, in addition to being mechanically competent, Bridget was stellar with customer service. Glad we found Genuine Auto Repair!

I love Genuine Auto, they have always take care of me and my family as if I was there own. I don't feel like an individual walking into a buisness just to hand them my money.

The only place in town that would inspect a used car I was considering on the day I called. Bridget could not have been more wonderful and helpful. I'll definitely return with any other automobile needs that arise!!!!

I have always had an excellent experience with Genuine Auto Repair. Gary and Bridget absolutely know their stuff, and have always taken care of my family by taking care of my vehicles. My favorite part of my interactions with them is, Bridget will always say at the beginning of my interaction and at the end of my interaction, she will always say “we just want you to be safe”. Which tells me that they care about US and not just making money off of repairing my car.

Genuine Auto is my go to for auto repair. They're very thorough and they fix the problem without breaking the bank. They're friendly and fast with the repair. I highly recommend them.

It was good. I went in for an oil change. My car was hard cranking, so the mechanic cleaned my battery terminals for me. They addressed my concerns, and I felt respected as a car owner.

Definitely the only mechanic I’ll go to. They are knowledgeable, kind and quick. I’m amazed every time with both the fair price and fast work time. There’s not a better mechanic in the kc metro than these guys.

This place definitely lived up to its name. Took my vehicle here after being quoted over $3000 at Firestone for a steering issue. Genuine Auto replaced a fuse and another small part for $220. Highly recommend this place!

Other mechanics told me that I needed to do a variety of expensive “upkeep” things on my car. Here, it was explained to me why many of these things weren’t necessary, and I was able to only do the one or two things that was. He saved me hundreds of dollars! I will definitely plan to bring my car here in the future. He’s honest.

Update: months later, we still commit to traveling across town for Gary to see our cars. Character is something we highly value in a mechanic, and we really appreciate all the ways we have seen integrity displayed in Gary. Thanks for always treating us so well!
