My girlfriend and I decided to ride our mountain bikes around Long View Lake during a very windy day with 50mph gusts and could barely make it up the hill with the wind blowing right at us. We stopped at Long Bell Pizza to grab a bite halfway thru our bike ride and we walked our bikes over to see if he had any gravel/street tires to help increase our speed to push thru the 50mph wind. Jason and another great mechanic got us right back on the road and even installed some bar ends on my bike so I’m not hunched over the whole ride.

The BEST bike shop ever! Our family rented bikes (with two 12 year olds) later in the day. They knew the perfect trail and stopping spot! When my kiddo got tired out they went above and beyond and helped us out of a hard spot! They were so very kind. Super knowledgeable and helpful. I was in KC for a 250 mile ride that had a 27-hour time limit. Sadly 10 miles into the ride I hit a pothole and my front wheel rim bent making my bike unridable. I thought I was done with the ride, but kept a small hope so I googled bike shops in the area. Bicycle Shack opened earliest at 9:00a, so we arrived at 8:30a in hope that someone could see us right when they opened. Even better, Jason arrived into the shop around 8:40a and immediately took a look at my bike. He swapped out the wheel with a new one and installed new brake pads within 20 minutes. On top of that, he gave me an incredible discount on the front wheel when he could’ve charged me higher than normal because of my urgent situation. In the end, he got me back on the road by the time the shop opened. Because of this quick turnaround and Jason’s incredible service, I was able to get back on my bike and finish within 40 minutes of the time limit. Thank you, Jason. If I’m ever back in the area, I’m definitely coming to your shop first.

This place is fantastic. The owners are wonderful human beings with a great regard for helping & watching out for others. My teenage Son had a terrible situation right outside their establishment. They provided critical info to the authorities & myself. Its good to know we have such fantastic local businesses in this community with such incredible owners! I am forever grateful. I had a fantastic experience with Jason and Jody at the Bicycle Shack in Lees Summit, MO this week. I rented a gravel bike for exploring the Katy Trail. The bike was in great shape and Jason set up my bike with my own aero bars and seat Made for a comfortable cycling week with no mechanical issues First class service and they clearly provide a valuable service to the local biking community. Oh and thanks for letting me park my suitcase in the store! Highly recommended!

Jason did an amazing job. This beauty needed the wheels built and the brake cable added and adjusted. It came out GREAT A+ Shop right here.

This shop is the one to come to. They were very attentive, very friendly, and very helpful. I had an issue with my wheel after a crash, they said it was bent and they fixed it right up. My wheel has never worked so good, thank you Bicycle Shack!!

What an amazing group of people working here! We brought in our very non fancy little girl's bike and we're still given the celebrity treatment without them batting an eye. Needed a kickstand and they build them custom to size and install right there. Tuned the bike up and everything for her! Thanks!

This place is great. The owner and his staff are so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Nice selection of bikes and bike gear and a great location. Definitely the best bike shop in town!

Broke down and they took my bike in even though they weren't really open. Worked with me to find better parts that worked for me and turned it around and make further adjustments all for the same price. Will drive out of my way to take the bike back there.

I have had a few interactions with these guys and all of them have been good. Jason is a great shop owner who takes care of his customers and does a quality job. Prices are reasonable for repair work and the shop sells quality bikes.

I absolutely love the service here.
In 2021 Jason fixed a wheel for me that another bike shop in LS messed up, and did so incredibly quickly.
Just last week I took the bike in for rear brake pad replacement and a bleed, and Jason gave the entire bike a tune up (chain care, checked the tires, tightened my aerobars and even the bottle cages that rattled), changed the pads, bled the lines, and it cost me $25. They go above and beyond in their service and genuinely love their craft. I've had nothing but great experiences here.
