Charro Restaurant

We recently discovered this wonderful restaurant. The service is 10/10. The food is fantastic and the restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. This is my 3rd time here and am so impressed that I decided to write a review. The employees work really hard to satisfy the customer and they have done just that. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

This place has good food and they are quick. I don't mean quick like other people mean quick, I mean we didn't even have time to fill up on chips and salsa quick. Speaking of which, the chips were nice and warm and the salsa had a good flavor to it. The people were nice and and the food delicious. If you are a margarita fan, the top shelf margarita was well done. We will definitely be back.

Ordered nachos supreme. Wasn't expecting too much for a st. Louis area Mexican restaurant. Turned out to be tasty and generous. Highly recommend for yummy Mexican food.

Authentic and delicious food at a fantastic price. Service is great, friendly staff. Love the outdoor patio! Our go to for Mexican food.

Some of the best Mexican I have had in quite a while. I'm from Cali originally, where I had fresh and authentic Mexican. Everything at Charro tasted incredible! It was a treat that reminded me of real Mexican family cooking. Beware: the salsa is addicting, it's so good! The restaurant itself smelled immaculate, which was the first thing that hit me when I walked in the door. I will definitely be going back. Well done Charro!!

Wonderful meal, very fresh ingredients and a great staff.

Good Mexican, nice price. Were seated in the bar section where waitress was a bit delayed but food came reasonably quickly. Salsa was great not too spicy but packed with flavor. Stuffed poblanos were delicious. my extra $3.15 side tamal was so big and covered with beef and sauce. Good! Hubby enjoyed beef fajitas and daughter loved her cheese enchiladas. Hope to go again soon!

Charro is my favorite local Mexican restaurant. My wife and I stopped here to eat late at night. It was near closing time but the hostess/server was kind enough to seat us. She provided exceptional service throughout the night. We were able to sit outside on the patio and enjoyed dining under the soft lights of the outdoor patio. As always, the food was delicious! The menu is quite varied and has something to offer for everyone. I always enjoy dining here and consider myself lucky that this restaurant is part of my local food scene, within walking distance from my home.

Very tasty Mexican food! I ordered a fish taco platter & sangria. The Mexican rice tasted good & not greasy at all. The sangria was good too!

Great value on lunch specials. Chicken fajitas are great.

The food is always delicious and the service is always great.

We went on a rainy December Friday for lunch - just 5 of us. Had the whole place basically to ourselves. The dining room is much bigger once you go inside than the outside implies. Lots of tables and chairs available. Everyone was very friendly; our waitress was sweet, prompt and attentive. Pitchers of margaritas came with a 1/2 order of chicken nachos for free - that was a heck of a deal!

We all loved the salsa that came with the chips - not too chunky and had a good 'bite' to it. My meal was a chicken breast, smothered in chorizo and cheese sauce, on a bed of nacho chips. Never seen it presented like that and it was SUPER yummy.

It's nowhere near my house, but it is close to my friend's house - he chose it. So, I'd gladly go back again. :)

Never had a bad experience here. Food and service is consistently very good. Keeps me coming back again and again.

The chicken enchiladas were fantastic! Service was good. The Horchata was good. Great experience overall.

Had lunch with a friend here and we both enjoyed our meal. The salsa is very tasty. My chicken and rice dish had awesome flavor and her taco salad was devoured, to say the least. Would definitely go back again and will be sure to try a marg as well.

My dinner was very good, the help were great, and the atmosphere was authentic Mexican. When the weather is warm, we also have eaten outside on the large patio. I enjoy the restaurant each time I go, you will too

What a great place! Our server, Laura, did an awesome job of guiding us through the menu and was super sweet! We all enjoyed our dishes and were especially pleased with the quesadillas. Usually places skimp on shrimp, but their shrimp quesadillas are stuffed full of big shrimp! Good prices, awesome service, really good food :-)

The food was quite good (both my burrito jalisco and my wife's vegetarian nachos) and there were several things in the menu which weren't standard "Midwestern Mexican place" menu items. However, the main reason I'll come back is the service. Miguel did a really good job as the waiter, staying on top of the drinks and generally being both helpful and cheerful without being obtrusive. I'm in the general area roughly monthly, and even though it's about a half hour out of the way, this place is definitely going in my regular St Louis area rotation.
