I have been going here since I was a kid, many years ago! Moved around a lot due to military and never found better tasting Chinese food!

John, the owner makes the best dishes, consistently good. I return whenever I’m in town, he knows me by name and remembers my order.
Best food, best customer service , a must have if you’re in the STL area.

I have been coming here since I was a kid, and the food still taste good. This isn't your average Chinese Hood rice, but it is different in a good way. The food is always steaming hot.

One of the best Chinese food restaurants in St Louis you really have to try this .their rice has a distinctive taste I think it's because of the garlic. I also had to be lo mein which was very flavorful and a large portion. Chicken egg rolls are good too. Customer service was good and it was a clean environment which I really like cuz most of them are not.

Great food and service I recommend u go there there food tastes better than any other Chinese restaurant.

Yummy 😋 Fried rice was great, egg rolls were big AND tasty, and the crab Rangoon was better than what we get back home. Would recommend for a quick and delicious meal.

I've been eating at Sunrise since I was a student at SLU. The owner is very kind and still remembers me all these years later. The food is always fresh. You'll always be greeted with a smile.

Excellent restaurant. I expected the typical Chinese place with too much sauce lol, but no - the honey braised pork and broccoli was perfect. The customer service was very good also. I’m gonna star this restaurant on maps so remember the location!

Beef and broccoli is amazing!!! Ask for the food on the Chinese menu- so good! Little John and his wife are always friendly and work quickly to provide yummy food. Highly recommend!

Rice was Great 😋 NOT GREASY AT ALL. Had hot braised chicken combo (wings) cooked perfectly 💯👍. My diet restricts my from greasy food, this spot on. My ONLY ISSUES was how many pieces, 1st visit will return

Decided to stop by and get some food. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and taste of the number two, chicken fried rice and four wings. Best wings I've had in seven years, will have to visit again soon.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for over 20 yrs. and the food is still DELICIOUS!!!!! There has been some changes that I had to get used to. He no longer sales his food in half and whole order sizes he sales combination plates plus he no longer sales his “FAMOUS ” gravy😢 lol. The owner is a sweet and funny guy.... This is #2 of my favorite 2 Chinese restaurants in St. Louis. Go visit I’m sure you’ll enjoy.

All I had was fried rice, but I was really impressed with the fresh ingredients and overall taste. The place was clean and the staff is super friendly. Be sure to check if they are open before you go since their hours seem a little limited.

Close to my office and I love going there for carryout. John the owner is always very friendly and the food is delicious with many daily specials. Nice to see all of the Chinese students there from SLU as well as a huge variety of return customers from the neighborhood.

This was my first visit due to my sister raving and ranting about how good the food was . Surprisingly , what I did order was very tasty , reminded and tasty like back in the day of real tasty Chinese food when there was old fashion cooks back then . It actually had nice tasty size of onion , green onions , green pepper that actually season ed and could be tasted . A lil bit more pricey but worth it . Looking forward to trying and tasting more ..

I cannot say enough good things about this little, unassuming place. Consistently great food, fairly priced, and always fast. This is one of my go-to’s for my lunch break

I’ve actually never had food there but go there all the time to park while watching a show at the fox. It’s always been a smooth process to park for me and my family.
