In a busy Thursday night we were able to sit down right away. The wait staff was excellent, quick to order, kind, and checking in to make sure everything was going well. We weren't there on love music night, but we want to go back. Prices were reasonable, food was full of flavor, and both meals were hot from the kitchen. I can't believe I haven't heard of this place before tonight. 💯% recommend!

Wow, it's a great place to eat and relax . I was there early about 4:30, not crowded at all. However, LIVE music every night around 6. My server was fantastic, and that would have been worth the stop alone. The food and dessert were outstanding, worth the price. No bad at all. I highly recommend trying this stop if you're in the area.

What a super fun place! This was my wife’s and my first visit, but I don’t think this will be our last.

From the hostess to our waitress, the customer service was extraordinary. Super friendly for sure! And the vibe and decor inside is quite fun. Really neat.

But the real draw of a restaurant is the food and we were very pleased with everything we ordered.

I’m a sucker for sliced, fried pickles and they have some yummy ones. Clearly homemade. My wife ordered the mahi mahi and the presentation told us it was going to be solid. She enjoyed it. My smothered catfish (in a gumbo like crawfish sauce) was very yummy.

Quite a few other items on the menu that sounds delicious so I imagine we’ll be back and try something new. :)

This is a nice place for Cajun/NO style food. Spiced just right. They have live music on weekends. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. Pricing is reasonable.
Make the trip to Festus and try them.

Creole Crawfish Dip & Graham’s Pontchartrain Catfish are our favorites! 😍 The flavors here are out of this world.

A little taste of Cajun food down south of St. Louis. Plenty of room including an outside patio option and a full bar.

Try the smothered fried catfish. Catfish fried perfectly with rice and a really flavorful sauce that’s not too spicy.

The house salad and the poppyseed dressing is really solid.

It has stage and live music every week. A happening place in Festus.

A nice place to dine in. Foods are delish! People are so nice. Even the owner is so hands-on, helping the time where there since they are lack of people to work. And we’re glad we decided to wait even it’s 45mins cause listening a live music time flies fast! 🙌👌🥰🤩💕 And that is our first time in this place. We love to go back again.

Everything about my experience here was great. The live music was outstanding. We sat and listened for a long time and never felt rushed by our server. The food...so good! We had rhe BBQ shrimp appetizer and it was delicious. I had the shrimp and grits for my entrée. On a cold day it was like a warm hug. So perfectly seasoned...not too heavy...I'm still thinking about them.

We had the Cajun BBQ shrimp is to die for. The SAUCE! Nice selection of beer. Our waitress was great. They had a nice live band country folk. The place is clean.

The beer and food is great. On our way back from St. Louis, this seems to be our choice of restaurant. We just can't get enough. I really love the BBQ pulled pork over home made chips. If you haven't eaten here, I highly recommend it.

I loveeee this place! This was my second time coming from St Louis to eat here and it is well worth the drive. The red beans and rice, gumbo, and jambalaya are all delicious, and well seasoned. The shrimp were fantastic, jumbo shrimp are large and juicy. Everything was flavorful and fresh. Drinks are tasty, and service is excellent! No complaints well definitely be back to try something else on the menu!

We came to Taytro's for a meal and a tent concert. Both were excellent. We did miss the first 20 minutes of the concert, because we had to wait for a table for our meal. We enjoyed some Cajun classics: boudin balls, catfish po' boy, and jambalaya. There are other options besides Cajun on the menu - good variety. The only downside was the live music inside the restaurant. It's a bit loud for people to enjoy conversation at their tables.

Just went for lunch today as a bday treat from my amazing wife and I couldn't have asked for better. A beloved friend of ours is from Louisiana and I've been missing her gumbo something fierce. Tatroy's, you run a close second! (Our friend has the spoon, no offense; #iykyk ) Can't say enough good things about this place!

I have never posted on this particular restaurant. Frankly because until yesterday, all I could have said was "meh". But...it's been a year or so since we have been here and the changes are impressive and worth a 5th visit. I didn't think a jammed Saturday night would have been the best experience but it truly was. Crayfish dip with homemade chips was a perfect start. I had Mahi Mahi and my husband the Smothered Catfish. Both came with the salad and a side. Excellent flavor, presentation and service. Drinks were also good and appeared quickly. They have changed the dessert menu to cheesecake bites for a buck. Also excellent. I'm not saying you're going to be captivated but every change they made is great. The ONLY negative is the same as it's always been...they have live music and it's LOUD! I do wish there was 1 night they skipped that. Luckily the band last night took lots of breaks so we could talk some. If you have not been in a while because of its decline before, give it another go. It's a lot like it was before they moved to the big building!

Having fallen in love with New Orleans and its cuisine, I've searched all over St Louis for the most authentic Cajun/Creole. And I've found it at Taytro's. It's worth the trip from Kirkwood to Festus whenever I can. Best food. Best service. Best Vibe. It's a jewel.

There was five of us we each got a variety of things. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Just had to wait to leave because our waitress never came back to get our money. I got a combo appetizer and it was all good but all the gator bites were just so dried and no meat that you're better off ordering the appetizer then getting the combo

Holy buckets. This place is so good! Everything about our visit was top-notch. My husband and I are in town for work, and my cousin suggested this place. I’m so glad we tried it! I ordered the shrimp étouffée with extra blackened seasoning, and my husband ordered the bayou blackened chicken. My étouffée was outstanding—the extra blackened seasoning was perfect! My husband’s chicken dish, though—that was perfection on a plate. We are extremely picky when it comes to food, and this place just blew us away. We were too hungry to consider taking pictures of our food, so all I have are the ”after” pictures... oops! Our waitress was incredible as well. Great beer selection, great cocktails. You definitely shouldn’t pass up this one!

We've been here a handful of times and service and food are always amazing! I usually don't like shrimp unless fried, but theirs is delicious. We went last night for my fiance's birthday and our meals ended up being half priced for whatever reason, on time of great flavorful food and amazing service.

The food was amazing!!! I have a shellfish allergy our waitress Alex was very understanding had the manger come out to reassure that they use separate fryers for food.

Love this place. The atmosphere and decor are great. The food and service are excellent. Alexandria was perfect. Very friendly, fun and attentive.
