Knight Auto Air Conditioning

I hate taking my car somewhere to have it worked on. I'm the guy that my friends and family ask when a car issue comes up. When I called Dave out of lack of time and frustration on one final bit of my AC replacement I didn't know what to expect. He immediately struck me as knowledgeable and experienced and knew exactly the piece I was having trouble with. He completed the work quickly, and what he charged was very reasonable if not downright cheap. I find myself wishing I'd known about and contacted Dave first rather than doing the rest of the work myself. I wouldn't think twice about taking a car to Dave again, nor would I think twice about recommending him to anyone. My understanding is he does take on some other jobs outside of AC repairs. I'll be calling next time I need something done.

Dave is a great and honest mechanic, he fixed the A.C. on my car last summer and I couldn’t have asked for better service. He won’t try to up sell you or give you some ridiculous high rate to fix it. When it gets busy during the summer sometimes it’s hard to get a call through, but it’s a local owned business and there’s not a lot of staff. If you leave a message he’ll get back to you. When he worked on my car I had dropped it off to be looked at since he was so busy, he contacted me the next day and explained to me what was wrong and what would have to be done to fix it. I didn’t feel pressured, I appreciated how he explained it to me in depth and he quoted me a very fair price. I hope that someone else finds this review helpful because I actually chose to go here based off researching shops and reading reviews online. If you want someone who is going to do the job right this is the place to go. It’s hard finding old school mechanics like him nowadays, and it’s nice to know they still exist.

I was in from out of town when my A/C quit (95 degrees outside). Dave had me drop the car off and was able to look at it the next day and get me back on the road. I called 4 other shops first (including 2 dealers), and all were at least a week before they would look at it. Dave got me a quality compressor (not Chinese) and fixed my car the right way so I could get home. Very knowledgable and a great guy to deal with.

I had a tricky electrical problem and lost my tail lights last winter which made driving home from work in the dark a big problem. The dealer wanted to replace the engine harness for a mint (big surprise). Dave located the short in a day and charged me a paltry $150 bucks -I was delighted!

Great mechanic, fixed my grandma's Van with a $5 part. Other shops wanted $1400 plus for a new ac kit, he put in a $5 relay and fixed the issue and wouldn't charge us anything. Very trustworthy, earned our business for life.

I just met Dave, but I'm sooo glad I did. He is among the very few people I've met in this world who consistently UNDER-promise and OVER-deliver.
I had a civic hybrid with AC problems (which are particularly tricky on hybrids), and another shop quoted me $1500 to fix what they diagnosed as a leak in the condenser. After reading positive Google reviews, I decided to get a second opinion from Dave at Knight Auto Air. I was excited enough when he said installing a new condenser was no big deal and quoted me $500 (instead of $1500!), but then he really iced the cake when I went to pickup my fixed vehicle and he said my total was only $411. On top of that, there is an Enterprise rental car just down the street, which only cost me $37 for the 24-hour turnaround time. Couldn't be more pleased, and will be going back soon to get spark plugs and transmission fluid replaced.

I went here to have my A/C looked at and fixed, and unfortunately it ended up being my compressor that went out. Thank god I went here though because the price was not near what it would have been at any other mechanic in the area. He was even kind enough to talk to my dad (also a mechanic) on the phone about what the issue was to reassure me and my dad that I found a trustworthy guy in the area. I know if anything else went wrong with my car this would be the first place I'd call to see if Dave would fix it up for me!

After wanting to give up due to getting no answers from the dealer or the independent shop, a google search led me to this business. The issue with the car was extremely random and took a lot of guesswork. Dave really went the extra mile to find the issue and get it fixed. He was also extremely fair on the final price of the repairs, as they were tedious and time consuming. I would highly recommend this business to friends and family.

Dave was absolutely super. We had an issue with a friend that has severe COPD and has extreme difficulty breathing. This person has an old Chevy Cavalier with over 200M miles and the AC was not working. Dave ordered a new plug for the compressor and got it to charge up.

If there is anyone that needs automotive air conditioning work, I would highly recommend taking it to to Knight Auto Air on Manchester.

The family and I were traveling from Kansas City to Florida when we had trouble with our ac. Called Dave and asked if he could take a look. Dave was awesome, he immediately took care of the issue and we were back on the road in no time. Can’t thank him enough. Family vacations can be taxing. Dave made sure we got off to a great start. Dave is a gem! All mechanical work-(not just AC).
Dealers bring their cars when they can't fix them...I have been helped many times by Dave's expertise and very fair charges.
You will find a cheerful, wry friend here,for sure.

Dave at Knights Auto is really excellent. Fair, funny, highly competent, well priced, great service. If you want a nice waiting area and Keurig coffee ... this ain't for you. But if you value your money and want great service and a fantastic mechanic ... call Dave at Knight.

My AC in my 07 Honda had been out for a year. After being quoted $2K elsewhere for a whole system replacement, Knight Auto got it done for much less, even with new replacement parts. I highly recommend for your car's AC.

I was having trouble finding any mechanics that would even attempt to work on my jeep, but Knight found the problem almost right away. The guy really knows what he is talking about, gets things done in good time, and charged a fair price. Recommend him highly after trying several other mechanics.

The best place around for honest and reliable car repairs. If you haven’t brought your car in and talked to Dave,then your missing out on the best repair shop in town. Can’t say enough praise about this shop and it’s owner Dave.

Very competent mechanic with many years of experience. If you want your car fixed right the first time go here. By appointment only, but totally worth it.

Dave is a pretty chill guy, I went here because my a/c was having problems, blowing warm air and etc, he fixed it right up.(ง'̀-'́)ง now it's blowing cold!!!

I absolutely couldn't be happier. I know some other reviews say that there are fake reviews here from family/friends of employees, but this is definitely not one of them.

As a reply to the above comment, a week ago the business was flooded. Probably a little hard to answer phones or fix cars. However they are operational again and highly recommended!!!

Dave is one of the best. Knows his stuff and looks after the best interest of his customers.
