I am a fan of empanadas and this place has not left me wrong. The chicken and meat have good flavor and are juicy. The workers at this location are friendly and always willing to help you with your order. The prices seem affordable to me depending on what you want to order.

Last night, when I visited, it was truly special to discover that the people there were also Cuban, which filled me with joy as a Cuban myself. The staff was welcoming and their humor brightened my experience. The cuisine and coffee were quite enjoyable. Overall, the ambiance and the enchanting old Cuban melodies created an unforgettable atmosphere. Many thanks to everyone involved.

I was here last night and as a Cuban it felt amazing when I realized that the guys were Cuban too. Adrian and Ray were friendly and made me laugh. The food and coffee were pretty good. Good vibes, atmosphere and incredible old Cuban music. Thank you guys ☺☺☺☺☺

I always come to Sophie Cubaine restaurant and I'm never disappointed, especially the employees who offer incredible customer service. they are very nice and friendly, the supervisors did well to hire them. Besides, I find it a shame and unfair that there are no electronic tips like paying and giving tips at the same time, we need to encourage them. Its very important.

Stopped in and grabbed a Cubano, tostones and maduros, savory and sweet plaintain. So good! There are a couple of dipping sauces for the tostones and both are really delicious but the green/garlic sauce? You can put that on anything and it'll make it better. Or as my husband says "I'd eat that on a flip flop!" 😅 A nice selection of Cuban foods. Staff was lovely and helpful.

Delicious empanadas and amazing green sauce that reminded us of Indian green chutney. They also have cuban and other sandwiches, salad bar and beverages. Good prices, great taste, nice texture and very friendly staff. Ample indoor and outdoor seating. Quick service as well.

They also have a new spicy chicken sandwich along with a few funky options like guava and cheese empanadas.

Fast, convenient, and delicious. Not a large place but offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. Clean space and very welcoming staff!

Hi all, I went this past Saturday for dinner and it was such a good experience! I'm on vacation with my boyfriend and we had such a good time. The food was really good & drinks too, but what I enjoyed the most was the attention of the 2 girls who were there. They were really nice, helped us with all our doubts and even gave us some tourist tips. What I would recommend though, is that you can tip with card, 'cause we didn't had enough cash and we would have loved to give them a little bit more. :)

Taytiana and adonys are excellent workers , they were so friendly and smiling while making my plate. This was my first time and they made me want to come back. The food was very delicious.

The girls who are in the evening are so kind! I think her names are Ailyn and Amin…I’ve never tried this food and the girls made me some recommendations and they were not wrong! Thank you for your great service and kindness! For sure I would go back to eat there! :)

I love the food here! The costumers are always happy, me as a customer loves the service ,it’s fast , very patients and attentive. Tatiyana & Adonys are always smiling! They make me feel welcomed in the place I enjoy eating their well cooked food!! Aswell as the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming even to new costumers.

The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is awesome. This is my lunch break spot since I work in the hospital. It very convenient.

The staff that is in the afternoon provides excellent service, I have gone 2 times and always very friendly and attentive. The food is delicious and the attention is very personalized

I recently moved to the kips bay area, and I am always looking for latin food as its my favorite, I found the restaurant via google maps and decided to give it a try. When I walked in I was exited to see that it was buffet style (reminds me of back home in Florida) and they also had a separate menu to order from. The food looked good, restaurant was clean. I read a couple of reviews and saw that the empanadas were a must, so I decided to try the cheese and chicken empanada, I also got the salmon with yellow rice and plantains, everything was very delicious and though the food was fresh "fast food" I really enjoyed it! The only issue I ran into was that I was given a beef empanada when I asked for chicken, but the manager (I believe his name was Armando) was very friendly, and fixed the problem right away! This is my latin go to in the area, I definitely recommend!

Just had the beef stew with plantains and yellow rice, small side salad and avocados. Really yummy. Worth it. The portion was nice I shared with my coworker. That plus a coke can was $16. Not bad. Usual price for a nice lunch in this area.

Super busy during lunch. Check their website for daily specials and pricing. Staff are quick and friendly. Entree lunch price is around 15$, but good size and generous.

The chicken entree is an entire chicken leg, and 3 sides. Well cooked and juicy. The tres leches cake is also delicious, super luscious and decadent. Its worth the trip to get both of these items during lunch.

This is my second time ordering from them for catering and full stars. They were on time with the food, not a scrap of it was left behind and they were pleasant and courteous on the phone. Full stars. I appreciate when a place I order catering from makes my job easier and not harder. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Fantastic! Their Grilled Chicken on their freshly baked and toasted Hero Roll with Mayo, Avocado, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onion and Pickles is a miracle of flavors. Their Baked Chicken, Steak, Platinos, Yucca and Yellow Rice are incomparable. A must stop if one is nearby you! Also folks, please leave the workers a nice tip, they do a fantastic job of preparing these dishes, in what is now crazy times!
