This ACE location truly embodies the motto. I appreciate their diverse staff and the energy that they bring to the work.

It’s major that they hire in the local community but most importantly that they have a ton of goodies that you need to care for a Philly home.

The store is tiny but mighty. They always go above and beyond & I will always patronize them when I can, as a multiple property owner, I have been floored at some of the things that have in a pinch and competitively priced.

I just happened upon this store while going to the post office across the street!

There were plants outside that caught my attention! Needless to say I ended up getting 2 plants and pots for the plants. Very reasonable prices! I've been to other plant stores and paid well over $40 for 2 plants and pots. I was able to get 2 plants and 2 pots with saucers for $20.

The store was well stocked and much larger than I expected. All of the staff that I encounter were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience. I will return!

Nice little hardware store. They make keys! They sell a little bit of everything, rock salt, soil, hand tools and power tools.

Great local spot for anything you could need from a hardware store. Staff were friendly, enthusiastic and helpful.

Needed some minor items and was directed to the correct aisles by cashiers. Friendly check out and was even able to use the restroom unlike with some businesses these days.

Good place to shop when you don't want drive to Home Depot or Lowes.

Bought lights and a Christmas tree, they were very patient and nice. Even had to return some of the lights to swap them out and they were understanding and helped me find the kind I needed.

I had problem with my door I needed latch dlock and lock entry polo I was looking in seven different stores in Philadelphia. I didn’t found this. Some person after all this time I was searching told me you have to check the store Fairmount General Store Ace Hardware maybe they have this Finally I was lucky they had the stuff I needed for my door The good thing is, I never saw so nice Servis in philadelphia The staff was a lot of smile, and the lady she helped me was very professional. Tried to get key copies, purchased five of them, and none worked. Thankfully, the extremely friendly staff at Fairmount Hardware was able to identify the issue and replaced them free of charge.

Update:
I always come back after a good experience to make sure I left a good review. They always ensure you get the right items, always incredibly helpful. Great customer service, highly recommend over a big box store where the billion bolts on the wall are daunting. They'll recommend alternative solutions and other things so you're prepared for any complications that arise. If you're looking for a soulless big box store, where maybe you'll save a buck or two, that's if you have the right tool and parts for the job, look elsewhere. Management should be proud of the customer experience they ensure as their staff is A1, and so should the staff. They've never left me with a bad impression.

The staff is friendly and excellent always making sure you come out with the correct tools, and sometimes a tool you weren't looking for but is actually the correct tool for the job. I came in the first time not exactly sure what I needed(prepared to spend the big bucks to get the recommended tool from online; whereas other stores may be content overselling and leaving me unprepared for the task at hand), turned out after some help a staff member figured exactly what I needed and I ended up spending only $6 to fix my problem. Went in there for a pick up tool, adapter heads, feeler gauges and a few other things to work on a larger project and with the help I had everything I needed within 10 minutes. Really can't recommend more.

Great stiore have a lot of stuff that a contractor needs in a pinch.

We were visiting from out of town and needed a few odds and ends for a friends rooftop potted garden. They were so nice, so friendly, got exactly what I needed. This place has SO MUCH STUFF! Highly recommend!

They have the most well care for plants both indoors and outdoors...customer service ready to serve with a smile and very knowledgable!😀

The man managing the store was very nice. He went out of his way to help me find something, completely unprompted, and then tried to give it to me for free. The rest of the staff was friendly and had a good sense of humor.

Super helpful staff! A really nice associate got soul for me from across the street and brought it to my car. This store has such a huge variety of stuff, I was really surprised. In addition to the usual tools, hardware, paint, etc. they also have appliances like irons, and planters. Just imagine a small neighborhood lowe’s or Home Depot.
