Harris House by the Beach

We've stayed here several summers and you cannot beat Harris House for location. It's directly on the Boardwalk and centrally located. You can literally step out of the hotel and you're on one of the busiest parts of the boardwalk. Despite that, noise has never been an issue at night.

The rooms are what you'd expect from a beach motel - they are not fancy or big but they are always clean and fully serviced. the a/c works and the ability to use the outside area for wet beach debris also helps.

The pool is great for the kids and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The fact that a beach access badge and convenient parking are included are big bonus points!

Can’t really beat this place for a combination of location and service. It’s legitimately next to the boardwalk. With a stay, you get a beach badge per adult and parking on-site. It is clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. There’s a large pool with towels to cool yourself off before going back onto the boards. Really, there was nothing I’d complain about as it was the perfect place for our family of 5.

Cannot beat the location, very accommodating, clean rooms, excellent service. Def will come back!

Just spent a wonderful weekend in OC. Location, location, location. Steps to the boardwalk. Arrived early, room wasn't ready. No problem. Here's a parking pass, beach tag, your welcome to use the heated pool. Room was spotless. Staff was beyond nice and helpful. Recommend 100%.

The motel is in a great location. Easy access to beach and boardwalk. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The pool is big, clean and heated but refreshing. The visitors at the are mostly families and there is an arcade near by so between excited kids, pre teens and teens and people talking on the balcony it can get a bit noisy but not crazy or unbearable. With that said, by 1130pm-12am it gets super quiet which was great. If you have little kids with early sleeping schedules who are sensitive to noise I do not recommend. Check in and out was super easy. Any room issues are resolved immediately (tv had no signal). Rooms are spacious- we are a family of 3 and had the double queen beds. Beds are ok- I prefer a medium firm mattress these are medium soft (back issues don't like soft beds). We parked our car and moved it 1x when we went to dinner in Somners Point otherwise we walked everywhere. Would definitely stay here again.

I have been going to Ocean City my entire life but bringing my family of 7 down from Massachusetts and finding an affordable place that’s clean, friendly and amazing is … well extremely difficult! We had a reservation at another place but luckily my wife found this place and we couldn’t be happier!! Day 2 down and 3 to go I just had to leave a review. Staff is amazing! It’s clean and totally worth the price!!

Best part with having 7 people we are right near the beach I mean right there! Amazing!! Can’t wait to book for next year as well! Great job to everyone that works and maintains this place.

I booked here based on reviews. It is perfect! Steps to the beach! Heated pool. Parking to room walk is perfect. Extremely clean. I couldn’t be happier. I was nervous based on “motel” but it’s literally perfect!

Great little place right next to the boardwalk entrance. I imagine it could be loud inside the rooms that face the street and boardwalk entrance during the summer with all of the foot traffic. Very clean. Nice heated pool. Plenty of safe parking.

Excellent! Rooms were spotless housekeeping everyday there's no need to ask, the ground and pool are well maintained the staff are very friendly helpful pleasant atmosphere.

The rooms are clean, nothing felt humid, sticky, or sandy. Room service came every day, like they always used to everywhere else... There always seemed to be someone walking around cleaning something or making sure everything was up to par, I was impressed.

The pool was nice, pretty good size and well maintained.

Parking may be limited, I didn't have any issue but the lot was always full.

This place has become a family tradition! We absolutely adore the heated pool, proximity to the beach and boardwalk! Everybody is so nice! The rooms are perfect and clean! I literally have nothing bad to say about this place! We just booked for this summer and I am so excited to go with my family. It's super kid friendly, even teenagers like it(free WiFi lol) with the boardwalk there and Jilly's arcade right across the street, it's a perfect family location!

We stayed last week for 3 days. The people in the front office were very nice. Our room was clean with 2 queen beds which my wife loved. We had a problem in our bathroom after we had returned from the boardwalk and it was around 10:30 at night so we figured the office would be closed and we would have to just deal with it until the morning. I came back to our room to tell my wife the office was open and they would send someone up,as I was telling her this, there was a knock on our door that fast. We loved this place, it was so quiet at night and in the morning that we are going back next year for 4 days. It is right by the boardwalk.

The most friendly staff & accommodating to our small group. Rooms are clean & the location's can't get any better! This is my third year of staying at Harris House & I have noticed the upgrades made. New beds, new bathrooms, new landscaping! The lady at the desk even had a "rainy day activities" book that she shared with us!

Incredibly nice staff, clean rooms, and you can't beat the proximity to the boardwalk. The cleaning staff were extremely helpful and kind, always offering more towels or to clean the room (even when we went out late in the day). I cannot say enough for how pleasant the stay was. They offered morning coffee (which was surprisingly good). We will def be staying here again next year.

Harris House was great! My mom and I were looking for a reasonably cost hotel for a quick overnight beach trip and we got it for sure. The price was great and the location was amazing! It’s a no frills hotel but had everything we needed, ice machine, beach tags, parking etc. It was clean and the staff absolutely made the experience. We were struggling with our beach chairs and they offered to help. I mean that’s amazing! We also decided to stay later on check out day. They were able to charge me minimum cost and we were able to get a whole extra day. Overall amazing stay, will definitely be coming back.

This is a no frills Motel. Rooms are outdated but are very clean and served its purpose. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have a heated pool which is in the middlenof the parking lot, so if you are tired of the beach you can hang at the pool. Excellent location, steps away from the boardwalk and beach. Beach passes are provided during your stay.

I love this place so much I almost don't want to give them a great review, because I want to keep it all to myself that being said, this is by far the greatest hotel in OCNJ, and since OCNJ is the greatest family beach in the USA .. you get the point! The rooms are always clean, everyone who stays there is awesome and the staff treats you like family! It's reasonably priced but what makes this place the greatest place in Ocean City is the location. They are literally steps away from the boardwalk there's technically not an ocean view, but certain rooms come close. They have a pool that is always clean, and they give you beach tags!

Fantastic place to stay with the perfect location! We loved being steps off the boardwalk and beach and my son loved the arcade right out our door! The pool was great, the rooms were clean and the front desk staff were very friendly! We can't wait to go back next summer!

Great little hotel, clean. It's a few steps to the boardwalk/beach. The pool is not fancy, but it works well.

We've been staying here during our annual OCNJ vacation for years and Harris House has never let us down. The rooms are always very clean and the location is super convenient. You're literally right at the end of the boardwalk ramp at 12th Street. Parking can be tight, but that's not unusual in Ocean City. You learn to adapt. I've always found the staff to be friendly and helpful if I've needed something. I would highly recommend Harris House.
