Rode's Fireside Restaurant

First time eating here tonight 12/16 and my wife and i were blown away. Right from the warm and friendly greeting of the hostesses to our amazing and friendly waiter Dalton. Dalton recommended the crab cakes and wow were they amazing, all meat very little filler! I also recommend the Butternut Squash soup it was perfect. Thank you for a great experience and meal!!

I am going to give 4 stars because I have only visited once now... however, I am certain that 5 stars will be earned with future visits. The service is excellent and food delicious.
I have been past this area and didn't know this restaurant was there... I will be going back soon...

I've driven by Rode's Fireside countless times when I used to work in Swedesboro, but never stopped in. My wife and I finally did, and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, from the wine bottle "water fountain" as you walk in, to the large spacious bar in the main room. Our server couldn't have been more friendly, as she took the time to answer our questions and was on point with our drinks and food. The beef stir-fry and vegetables over rice was out of this world! I honestly don't think there was one negative aspect about our visit to Rode's Fireside. We will definitely be going back!

We had Andy as our server and he was such a delight. He was able to accommodate some requests that we had for our meals and was overall a great server with a great personality.

We were looking for a decent meal while on a road trip from the OBX to NJ and pleasantly surprised to find this spot. The food was good and the service was great. TY Jacqueline for your service and kindness. We ordered a lot of food, so I think the average price would be a little lower per person for most.

Monkfish and Butternut Squash Risotto was delicious and The Apple Crisp Dessert was like the best I've ever had!

Excellent food, never stops coming. There’s always have fresh bread, the water and the coffee and it’s a wonderful place.

The menu is varied, the service is friendly, competent, and quick, drinks are perfection, atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Just couldn't be better!

We recently had Rode's Cater our Father's 80th birthday party (60 people). FANTASTIC!!!. We already enjoyed Rodes Fireside. The catering was great, food was great, service, etc... We highly recommend them. Thank you Rode's Catering, we got a lot of guest compliments regarding the food!!! This won't be our last time giving you our business:)

I had a reservation for 7PM (father's day) and we were running late. I called and they had no problem accommodating us. Our meals were delivered hot and were absolutely delicious. I had "angry lobster" which I asked to be made a bit more mild so kind of aggravated lobster, with mushrooms, tomatoes and a beautiful rose sauce. Dad had an awesome scallop and sweet corn risotto. It was perfect. 2 days ago I had called several places and couldn't get in for Father's Day. Next year, I know we will be back for Mother's Day AND Father's Day. Service was A+ professional too, I think our server's name was Daisy.

Restaurant/tavern atmosphere. 2 fireplaces, bar, separate rooms, not too loud, but also a great place for kids. Crab cakes were delicious. Burgers were the best we've ever had. If you're in the area, stop here for some great food.

My husband and I had a wonderful Sunday lunch at Rode's! I had the Cobb Salad and he had the Brunch Burger with a small salad. My Cobb salad was beautiful to look at, very fresh, and delicious! We will be back! We enjoyed the atmosphere also!

Food was excellent. Our server was super polite and make some great recommendations to us. Semi frequent guest and never had a bad meal here

Celebrated my mother's 85th birthday with a dinner at Rode's. We were not disappointed on any level. Food was delicious, service was excellent.

Great service & really good food. Crab Bisque, crab cakes & coconut shrimp delicious!!

Food was exquisite. Did order a vegetarian plate and found bacon pieces in it. Waitress immediately fixed the problem and brought out a fresh plate with no bacon. Atmosphere was quiet, even with a few children around. Place was so clean, it was spotless. Prices were more on the expensive side, but totally worth it. Waitress was wonderful and the chefs made amazing plates.
