Jackson Spray Park

This place is a win win! Fun and free! There are other things to do right beside it. A library and another park area. The only downfall I can seem to find during both my trips was the lack of shade! There were benches around the area but only two under the pavilion by the restrooms were shaded. It made it hard with my 4 month old, trying to keep him cool.

Kid loves it it's small but what makes it good is the timing of the water keeps the kids guessing.

The spray park is plenty of fun. I love that it's right next to a playground with a rubber surface so the kids can go play on the playground while drying off. Thoughtful in its design. If you come, come early and there's not too much relief from the shade so I highly suggest an umbrella for shade. There's always a lifeguard on duty, which is helpful to moderate. In moments, the park can be overcrowded but my children still have a good time. Last note, you can't bring your own toys.

There are 3 distinct playgrounds, athletic fields and the Jackson branch of the OC library system. The playgrounds were certified as wonderful by a 9, 8, 5 and 2 year old. Their enthusiasm was genuine and infectious. If you have kids, this is the place for them.

It was a really fun place for everyone. They just need to put park security or something because the parents do not watch their children at all and they always run into the little ones.
