It is very clear that the staff here love doing their work in maintaining the forest and giving educational guided hikes.
Or hike on your own. If i were to have homeschooled my kids ( who are well grown now) i would have brought them here to learn with these informative naturalists.

I love walking here the paths are winding and surrounded by nature. The educational part of the park is good entertainment for a little bit. Very quiet hike, not rare to run onto horseback riders or deer running through

Great place to trail ride with my horse! Well marked, and well maintained trails, various footing. Sandy, some crushed stone, some mulch, a lot of variety, and overall beautiful, peaceful ride. Just make sure it's not hunting season when you go!

This is a very nice place. There are lots of trails where you can take a walk through the woods. There's an educational center where you can learn about nature. They also have an annual Fall Festival each year in October where they have different displays, exhibits, and demonstrations. Highly recommended if you are interested in learning about nature.

I attended their yearly program of making a centerpiece of cuttings from native shrubs and trees. They offered a great variety and everyone's creation looked good. A lovely way for parents and kids to spend the evening and learn about our great variety of native vegetation. The staff was very upbeat and helpful and mingled with all the participants. A good time was had by all!

Wonderful place to ride my horse. Found Yellow Trail map after riding to the end opposite the Main parking lot. Look at photos to find that map and the location of the hidden parking lot. Good for 4x4 only. Horse trailers can only use the secondary parking at the Main Entrance. The entrance to the yellow trail is off of the Main parking lot but there is no Yellow Trail map there.

Do not walk in the grass you will be COVERED from head to toe in BABY BABY BABY lone star ticks.

I was “seeing the area” and that was a BAD idea. The ticks were so small I could barely see them.

But I loved this place and you can see and learn a lot!

Lovely place. Very under rated in my opinion. Trails are nice a clean so your chances of getting ticks on you is low.

This is one of the last places in Ocean County that you can go and have some forest time. I really hope the atvs don't ruin the atmosphere

So much to enjoy, people who are investing their time to bring knowledge to those willing to take the time with them. Life enriching, can you say that about the mall?
