We came one afternoon for a Yelp event and this review is based off of that free event. We had the tacos (chorizo and carne), chicken burrito, side of chips and guac, side of street corn with the vegan aioli (big plus for us since my bf is allergic to eggs), and two bottles cokes. Everything was delicious! The chorizo was one of my favorites and I haven’t had one that was so good in a while! The chips seemed freshly made and weren’t too hard. The staff was really friendly and the inside was beautiful. We found seating right away and they do have a good bit of long booths. I could see how it might make it a bit awkward joining in so close to strangers but it didn’t seem like an issue for most. I really wanted to try the Nutella nachos, but since I just had chips and guac I didn’t think I could finish it. Overall, great experience and would come back!

Wow! Atmosphere, decor, service, and food were all absolutely exceptional.

Last Wednesday, I paid a trip to Tacoria, Paramus location. It's location along a strip-mall (is this term still used?), and quite spacious within.

Upon arrival, I was greeted fairly well by the employee, and inquired what were some of the best-sellers. I decided to go with the Al Pastor Mission Burrito, the Mexican Street Corn, and wash it down with a nice, cold horchata.

I love horchata, doesn't it taste --- at least a semblance of it --- like the milk after eating your cinnamon toast crunch? Going back to Tacoria...

As they prepared my food fresh, I went to the Soft Drinks section, and also was pleased that they had their own hot sauce bar. From chalula to Mexican brands, but also some yummy homemade variations from the restaurant.

Hot sauce connoisseurs, assemble!

The food was aesthetically pleasing --- beautifully assembled. The flavor of the food matched the beauty --- equally as pleasing. I came around 1:30PM, and the restaurant had about 7 patrons, it wasn't filled at all. The employees were great; some just engaging in conversation with the customers, telling me what they love to eat or how addictive some items are.

I felt warmly welcomed. This restaurant is definitely in the "Chipotle" realm of restaurants, but note, it is a step-above Chipotle when put head-to-head.

5/5 - Highly recommend!

It doesn't matter when you walk through the door of this small chain establishment; there will probably be a line, but don’t worry; it moves quickly. Located at Paramus Crossroads shopping center on Route 17 South, Tacoria was started by a couple of Rutgers grads “who really love Mexican food,” and I came today to this Elite Badges and Burritos event thanks to Sara and the Yelp Team. Upon arrival, that teal-colored sign caught my eye. Entering its door, the interior decor is described as a mixture of modern, funky, rustic, and industrial, with Mexican decor giving a good first impression. I was greeted by the manager, Madison, and his staff. The food ordering was pretty quick. The innovative menu wasn’t too large, but there were lots of good options for vegetarians, vegans, and carnivores. One orders and pays at the counter. You can, of course, order tacos, burritos, etc., but the preparation and added sauces produce some really tasty and upscale street food. I decided on 3 Hand-Crafted Tacos with two Pollo Asado and Carne Asada served with salsa, onions, cilantro, Cotija cheese, crema on fresh corn tortillas, chips, and guacamole, featuring their fresh house-made chips and horchata (a sweet, creamy-tasting beverage), to take it all down. It has perfectly balanced flavors with fresh ingredients, making it authentic and delicious. Nothing is greasy. And the service was impeccable! If you want to try something different, this is the place where I can recommend it.

The burrito box with steak was good. Rice could use a little work. But it's nice they had four different salsas to use at the pick up counter. I would definitely recommend reviewing the menu before going.

Tacoria definitely knows their mexican cuisine. I was initially put on to this chain from the New Brunswick location visiting a relative in school. The Paramus location has proved to be just as good if not BETTER. double portion chorizo burrito with a side of chipotle mayo. An absolute match made in heaven. The flavors are robust, truly authentic, and just out of this world. Worth every bit of money. Step aside chipotle and moe’s… there’s a new player in town

The food here was super delicious and fresh. The atmosphere was also cosy (although I ate outside) and the workers were super nice. (The air conditioner also broke so expect the inside to be super hot.) The flavours in the tacos were perfect for a hot summer day and were also rich and filling, and the horchata was also perfect for a hot summer day. I'd return anytime!

DELICIOUS!! Helpful and kind staff, fast service, amazing food, and good atmosphere. The Al pastor is my favorite, in tacos, burrito, or the bowl. The quac and chips is sooo good.

HEALTHY TASTY VEGAN OPTIONS.

All cap! This is a 5/5. I ordered the „Burrito Golden Avocado“ and the „Box Brusselsprouts“. It was the perfect snack on the go or even dinner option! It was fresh, delicious and again, not the unhealthiest meal! I can and will recommend!

The only thing i could criticize, I ordered via Uber eats and the menu on the app was a bit confusing. It would say „Vegan“ and right afterwards mention it’s vegetarian. Perhaps you could fix this because others may not order if they are unsure if it’s vegan or not. I looked at all the ingredients and was sure but others may want to order quicker and skip it.

Next time I am in NJ again, I will order it again!

There is a nice variety of Mexican food. I particularly like the salad that they make with a lot of healthy ingredients since I am more low carb. Nice friendly staff.
There's a young man named Gabriel who gives outstanding friendly service all the time!

I am so happy that I saw this place today. The teal color sign caught my eye. Tacoria has been here about one year. They are in NJ but I think this place is going to take off and be everywhere. It’s a very authentic place the street corn reminds me of Mexico. The design of this place was really well thought out. I love the giant wall mural art work. The Aqua Frescas are so good. I tried the steak taco after reading another review. The chips are also authentic and good. This was my first time here. 💞

Went here with a couple friends. It was great! We got nachos for the table and they were pretty loaded and definitely good for 4 guys. I ordered the Carne asada, Al pastor and pollo tinga tacos. The chicken was a bit on the dry side but still good since they have 4 tasty sauces to make up for it. The carne asada and al pastor were delicious. The tacos are a bit small but pretty loaded with good stuff. I also got the Mexican corn and honestly it was my main star. The sauce, the cheese, the perfectly cooked corn was all in beautiful harmony. The atmosphere is amazing. Beautifully decorated. Definitely want to come again and check out the rest of the menu. It is a bit on the pricey side. You won't leave full but you at least leave satisfied I believe

Tacoria is a fantastic taco cantina spot! The staff is incredibly friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The food is a delight – delicious, well-seasoned, and fresh. The chill ambience adds to the overall enjoyable dining experience. It's a go-to place for tasty tacos and a laid-back vibe.

I highly recommend coming it people are extremely friendly place is extraordinary clean and the food is very good. This is my first yelp experience as an elite and I really appreciate it. Definitely give this place a chance. Also have vegan options as well but I didn’t put myself in that spot because I’m allergic to avocado and I tried something different for a change. Street corn is to die for. everything is very good restaurant is clean clearly it’s only for takeout for now as per Covid. Definitely come here this is probably the most non-vegan thing I’ve had in a long time.

I was looking forward to trying the new Tacoria that opened and already had my mind set on what I was going to order. When I arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot. I walked in and ordered with the nice cashier. She answered my questions and was percise. I ordered the chicken bowl and the corn with a limeade drink. I waited for about 10 minutes for my order. I really liked the decor of the place and it was very spacious. They called my name when the food was ready and I thanked them and left.

When I got home I dug in. The chicken and rice bowl was so good. I liked the sauces they gave me to add a little kick. The corn was very tasty as well. The food was very filling, I could barely eat it all. I had a really good experience.

As a Yelp Elite I received a complimentary entree & drink. I brought my wife with me so we can try this place out.

As soon as we walked up to the counter we were greeted by John, he took the time to explain to us the ordering process, so here's how it goes: 1) Choose a main dish, 2) Add a protein, 3) Choose a small bite (side dish/app) and finally a drink.

I decided upon Three Al Pastor tacos with all the fixings, for a small bite I got Nachos and Pico de Gallo, for drink I chose Horchata.

My wife went with a Burrito Box (this comes with cheese & sour cream by she opted not to include it in her meal), for protein she asked for Carne Asada, her small bite was Golden Avocado (deep fried Avocado) and she got a Guava drink.

I must be honest, when I arrived here I didn't get my hopes up, I was expecting a kind of Taco Bell/Chipotle vibe, but oh Wow! I was so wrong! This is way, way better!

My tacos were bursting with flavor, I can taste the seasoning, the herbs, it was superb. The Nachos were crispy not overly cooked, Pico de Gallo was fresh, the Horchata drunk was refreshing. My wife's Burrito Box (albeit cheese & sour cream) was savory, the beans and rice cooked to perfection, the Carne Asada didn't disappoint, the Golden Avocado were just the right amount of crunchy on the outside and yet so soft inside.

For dessert we got a box of Nachos covered in Nutella. OMG! I do not know why I've never tasted this heavenly combination before. It's decadent!

Kudos to the cooks here, they did a phenomenal job! Huge Thanks to José, Robert and John.

I have eaten here about half a dozen times and it is one of my favorite Taco places! The Avocado taco is Excellent!! and so is the Carne and the Pollo. Love the service, the atmosphere, and the decor! Not the best location because of traffic, but the food is just great!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great overall vibe... you wouldn't expect it from the outside, but as soon as you step inside its a completely different kinda spot. I think their sauces surprised me the most, but the staff was really informative and pleasant as well!
