Cherry Valley Marketplace

For me it is always a pleasure to shop at this Super market. The workers in the store Cherry Valley are always polite and helpful. Thank you.

Same store as usual. Sad to see that a lot of the great selections of international and gourmet foods are no longer stocked. They sold out, so you'd think the inventory would be reordered. But no. My Escargot ever came back. Gone is the liquid Goat Milk. Just to name a couple.
What they do have is an overabundance of the same items from many different companies. Do we only need so much Tropicana & one or two others?
The beef has too much gristle. They call it marbling. It looks like beef from an over-fed, overweight cow. That is how all that fat gets into the muscle fibers. Humans get it, too.
Their store ground beef has been known to have been made from their cuts of meat which did not sell, which is standard practice, they just wait until a little to close to the Sell By date to to grind it. When you but it, often it is pink on the outside, but already turning grey or is grey on the inside. It also appears to be more than 20% fat.
I do like that they have the Cactus Fruit from the plant that the Nopals come from that are used in Mexican food. I wish the Dragon Fruits would return as well as the Star Fruits.
The prices need to come down. They are pricing things to compete with Fairway & Whole Foods, not the local Fine Fare, C-Town and Key Food.
It had less selection as Associated, it wasn't as fancy before the renovation, but the prices were in line with the neighborhood where many residents receive EBT Food Stamps. Prices were about 1/3 of what they are now in most cases. Which leads me to think that this store is raking it in by overcharging for items and has most of its Accounts Receivable income coming from the coffers of the US Government Alimentary Food Program Office.

Love this place. It's open 24 hours, what more can I say? The pricing is low. The place is always clean and well stocked. Remember this place at 2am when you need something sweet or are out of beverage.

When I discovered this store I nearly cried from pure joy! Everyone is super friendly from the cashiers to the managers! Since I'm originally from California and half Mexican and half Guatemalan, I've gotten use to being able to find all my Latin ingredients very easily in Cali. In the past 4 and half years in NYC I have found it difficult to find the things I need. This store is everything I've ever wanted in a grocery store. They have fresh produce and are well stocked in all the basic items PLUS they have and excellent stock of my Latin favs! I couldn't ask for more! The first time I walked in I sent my sister photos and text to show her what I found! I will be a regular shopper!

They have hot food and salad bar. They serve delicious food.

A supermarket with quite a variety of different items, including a hot/cold buffet. Nice staff at checkout.

They're open 24 hours, clean supermarket, some good prices on some things.

Today I stopped by the Cherry Valley Marketplace.
I bought a few things, but there was 1 item I couldn't find.
I spoke to Sandy who was most helpful and friendly. He told me he would look for me while I stayed up front. ( I felt so honored, and so grateful)
When Sandy got back,check said they didn't have the item, but he would speak to the manager, and see if he could order it. I told him I would try again next week.

Good place to shop! The cashier at register one had been there 29yrs! Wow! Wonderful

Great local grocery store. Great selection of canned fish. Great for fasting season. Love the Italian meats and cheeses in the deli section. Freshest fruits & vegetables. Open 2⅝4 hrs.

The store has a great selection of foods and the cooked food is DELICIOUS but you have to get there early! The staff is always pleasant and friendly.

Not the stores fault, but not the nicest neighborhood, so stay on guard if you go in late. But yeah. Nice that they are open late too.

Clean and items were easy to find. Prices were reasonable. The food is very good and nutritious and with the high price of food the Market place has had some very good sales on different types of food. The store workers are always available to help you if needed.

Fabulous Spanish style buffet

I love the deals. I have to take pictures of them and notate the prices at the register though..sometimes they don't mark as they should or the cashier makes errors. Always watch what they are charging you! Overall decent array of items as a supermarket should!

Very nice place to shop always clean the shelves always full the worker take notice that you frequent their store and when they see you they speak very respectful what I have against the store is that I see no people of color no Caucasian no Chinese we have a very diverse neighborhood so at least one of every nationality that frequents the store should be hired

Every single time I go ,I have a very pleasant experience. Juan Carlos, one of the managers, is extremely helpful. The cashiers are also very kind and helpful. Very well stocked supermarket. I worked in a Food Emporium for over twenty years ,and they had very high standards...great sales also and free home delivery.

Local neighborhood grocery store. People are pleasant. After suggesting they monitor the music played throughout the store. Now I can hum while I shop, instead of running with my ears covered. Overall the staff is friendly and has been around for awhile..
