Barzini's

I’m a private chief and i know very well the food quality and i shop all over the neighbourhood, I discovered Barzini like 2 months ago , that’s my favourite store . They have all kind and different kind of merchandise with a great prices and great quality and more importantly anytime i need something specific, the owner of the store Mr.Parviz he will get that for me in shorter time . Plus in the late night when im missing some items while cooking. I run to the store , because its 24 hrs open

Best selection from a small Mart I've ever seen. Great vegan options. Good beer selection. If I lived in Manhattan I'd go here everyday.

The deals on cheese are unreal. It’s the cheapest place to get gourmet cheese in the upper west side, the cheapest place to get gourmet cheese in Manhattan, the cheapest place to get gourmet cheese in New York City and quite possibly the cheapest place to get gourmet cheese in the whole USA. The prices they charge for some cheeses seem like they are missing a zero, even at a liquidation warehouse in 1990 they would seem too low. If you like cheese Barizinis is a must.

Barzinis is the real deal for NYC victual shopping. Go ahead and defer to your mainstream wide-aisled rubber stamp food purveyers if you are uncomfortable with upclose and intimate conditions. If you are still interested in 1st class European-style quality food shopping (and understand what this actually means) Barzinis is a treasure.

Super fresh items, I felt like im in Italy at the second I walked in..! Unbelievable verity of items and brands. Very recommended!

This is a very good store. They try to carry everything Gunther's German honey-the dark kind too (Buckwheat), every kind of cheese (German also), good selection of olives and is at the right price, baked goods and pre-packaged, and they have some really great deals, but you have to SHOP. I LOVE IT. Also, I've been going there about 30 years and when my mom was local she loved to go in and haggle (they will!) Fun.

Barzini’s is open 24 hours. The only grocery store/ oversized bodega for blocks. Amazing. Don’t buy the fruit or the baked goods, check expiration dates, and keep it moving after you’ve paid, there is only one register and they type the price in manually. Barzini’s isn’t a first option for food shopping. It’s your second chance. 5/5

For the uws of nyc, the prices are very good.

I like this place a lot for some reason. They have free cheese, decent prepared meals, little gourmet items, it has a vibe of both upscalish and down to earth. I bought olives the other day and they were reasonably priced (in my mind at least).

A neighborhood stalwart. I've been going for years. Narrow aisles, quirky, very Upper West Side, very NYC. If you have a little patience you'll be amazed at what you find. Excellent selection, great prices on produce, extensive deli counter.

Are you new to the Upper West Side? Barzini's is rather large for a Bodega and includes at least two Bodega cats who are more security/warrior/ninja than pet. 🐈‍⬛🐱🥷 These are some of the most focused cats that I've ever seen. Barzini's is a sprawling maze of meandering and tight aisles filled to the brim with tins of sardines, olives, turkey wraps, candies from around the world, paté, quail eggs, dried mushrooms, craft beer, fresh lychee, dried beans, organic milk with fish oil, organic milk without fish oil, blue potatoes, organic crackers, jackfruit, duck confit, tiny peppers, pickled anything you desire, and Mediterranean comfort food, The prices are fair and they deserve credit for ALWAYS being open despite whatever adversity we may face daily. Pro tip: Avoid ice crystally ice cream from the freezer that occasionally malfunctions and some expired products (look beyond the sticker), but absolutely DO NOT MISS Barzini's own hummus. So good!

Amazing small gourmet market. The greatest produce, try the Pennsylvania tomato’s. All of their herbs are first class, and the cheese shop is awesome. Pricing is commensurate with a gourmet market such as Citarella.

I love Barzinis! They're always open and the prices on outdoor produce are unbeatable. I went in there for groceries during Hurricane Sandy, they were unfazed by the storm and working as usual.

They carry a lot of foreign products and hard to find chocolates, cheeses and candies. In season produce outdoors is always a good deal and the prices overall are decent too. There is always a little line at rush hour but with products and prices like this, they goes without saying.

Sometimes the staff could be a little friendlier but no harm done!

I have been shopping at Barzini's since I moved into the neighborhood in 2004. I am thoroughly delighted that this store has everything I could want--if they do not have it, they will special order it. This store has everything a supermarket has plus a multitude of specially items. Since they have added the organic section, including organic meats, this is our one=stop store. We recently had a large party and ordered everything from Barzini's and even got cooked turkey and ham delivered warm just before the party. Yes, the store can be very crowded but it is always worth the wait and the congestion. It is a true neighborhood store and a big plus for living here.

I really love this store. The aisles can be a bit mind-boggling, and it's pretty easy to get lost in their labyrinth of aisles, but the selection of foods is good, with a nice mix of "cheap" stuff (low-brow string cheese, brand-name cereal) and gourmet fare (an EXCELLENT cheese selection, all the Kombucha and weird artisinal beverages your heart desires). Whole Foods is all weird artisinal stuff in my mind, so we prefer Barzini's. Also supporting local business.

As a beer drinker, my biggest love of this store is their amazing selection of craft beer they get in. There's something of a rotating selection here, and they don't always have exactly what you want, but I've discovered some really great beers because the usual thing I was looking for wasn't there but they had another gem in the aisle.

You really can't go wrong here. One time our pre-packaged fish smelled a bit off, but every other time we've had no problems in this store.

The selection is fantastic. Carlsberg beer, promogranate, etc things you cannot find anywhere else in the UWS

Best place to get cheese on the UWS. Great prices, amazing selection, and they'll order anything for you if you don't see it on the shelves. Been shopping here most of my life at this point and probably won't change.
