I eat here often. Very familiar with the area because I grew up here. This restaurant is relatively new to the neighborhood. The food is good. Nice size and great ambiance. The owner is usually there and he is very cordial and friendly. He will definitely remember you if you are a repeat customer. I do mostly takeout now because of the pandemic. The pizza pie is great for one person and the brick oven taste is awesome. Love the mashed potatoes. Be ready to spend but worth it.

this is by far the BEST PIZZA AND ITALIAN FOOD in New York. I almost feel myself in Italy. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The restaurant offers clean, modern and cozy space for comfortable dive into Italian gastronomy.

Amazing food, service was nice and their outside patio is really comfortable! All the pizzas and pastas can be changed and made gluten free! I would HIGHLY recommend!!!

I usually have complaints about the pasta served in the US. It's usually overcooked and has no concept of al dente. But this place was different.

One of my local friends recommended it and I casually stopped by for lunch. I ordered Bolognese. I didn't mean to test the restaurant, but they say you should try Bolognese to see if the restaurant is good or bad. Their Bolognese tasted fantastic. The pasta was perfect for me.

I wish more restaurants in the US were authentically Italian like this restaurant. Grazie, Bettolona!

The restaurant is next to the subway, with the noise, but it reminded us of Paris and the subway there when it is above ground level. It feels a bit like Clichy or Pigalle. The pizza and calamari were good. The margarita was generous.

Like family. The food is good, the prices are good, and the service is great. Now that Sandro has Davide to help with the day-to-day, there's never a bad time to be here.

Came here with a large group of people for happy hour, and they handled it very well! Staff were friendly and efficient. Happy hour food was very affordable and tasty - recommend the calamari, pizza and meatballs. Burschetta was so so. Lots of families with smaller kids come here too, so there's a pretty homey vibe.

Always feel like I'm at home when I come here. One of the best brick oven pizza spots in the city. The brunch on the weekend is well priced with great options. Menu items made with fresh ingredients, robust flavor and great service.

Went here with my birthday with a part of 12 people. They had a huge table ready for us and were accommodating with our many orders. Great food and it really tastes Italian. Definitely recommend it and it's pretty affordable especially for how amazing the food is.

I had plans to go to another restaurant but ended up coming here off of a whim, while walking by and I enjoyed every minute of it. I felt like I was in a Little Italy again. The gnocchi was incredible and I'm Italian so that says a lot. Grazie Bettolona!

Delicious, homemade Italian food paired with a friendly, welcoming staff, makes you feel like you're having dinner at a friend's place. Everything tastes clean and fresh never oily or too salty... Even as a person who generally bypasses Italian restaurants, I'll be stopping by Bettolona for a long time to come.

Bettolona came well recommended by family, and it didn't disappoint. The space is cozy yet fun, and the service is very good. But the food is the star here. Between the exceptional wine recommendation, the delicious soup and an outstanding Margherita pizza, I wouldn't hesitate to come back next time that I am in town.

Quiet, good food, though can be right on the edge of salty.

Editing review after more visits: the saltiness hasn't been as pronounced, the wine list has some real gems, and the artichoke dish is addictively good. Most of all, however, the staff is the best!

WHAT A RISTORANTE. Not only the owner and waiters are soooooo passionate about their food, their service. Their happiness and positivity lights up the entire neighborhood!! I have lived in NJ for the longest time, tho I haven't been to Italy, I thought our pasta were pretty good. Until I went to this place. THE BEST PASTA IN MY LIFE. And ask around you'd know I'm very harsh on food especially on seasoning and the food quality. But this restaurant leaves me no place to say anything but BRAVO, BUONA. A must go if you ever visit the upper part of NYC. Not only we have the art and music here, we have fantastic restaurants too!!

Went there for lunch on a rainy Sunday. Great place overlooking Broadway Street. Excellent food at a very reasonable price fot for the area. Great service. Highly recommend.

Best pizza I've ever had. The oven in the middle of the restaurant let's you see your pizza crisp up and bubble. The dessert menu is equally delicious. The Bianca Pizza and Lemoncello Tartufo are second to none.
