Paulie's Pizza and Wings

I've tried the other pizza places in town and haven't been impressed. Let me start by saying I don't like thick dough as my pizza crust. The other locations around town don't have flavor in the pizza sauce itself, they taste like simply crushed tomatoes out of a can. This pizza was five stars all the way around. Beautiful crisp crust and cooked perfectly on the bottom. I'm not sure where these bad reviews came from, but I met a nice lady and gentleman while there, and they were as nice as can be. This is my new pizza spot in Tenafly!

I came into the pizzeria looking for something cold to drink. Pizza looked good and the employees were welcoming. I went with the Sicilian slice, nice and hot. Good move coming in here.

I ordered plane pizza and garlic knots for delivery it took about 15 minutes. The knots are to die for. The pizza was just as good. I went there another time and it was excellent service. It took 3 minutes for me to get my pizza and it was delicious. I highly recommend this pizza. The chef is highly skilled and puts in lots of work in the pizzas.(I know this because I watched the chef make the pizza) I am definitely going to go there regularly. The delivery was about 10 dollars the dine in was 3 dollars.

Five star food and service. We have ordered margarita pizza and chicken parmigiana from Paulie’s today for lunch. Everything was so delicious and portion was really big too even for family of four. Still have the pasta came with chicken parm in my fridge. lol

The pepperoni roll was the size of my arm. Every bite was amazingly delicious. Gobs of cheese and thick bites of pepperoni! Comes with tasty marinara.

I grew up in Englewood and now live on the border of Tenafly. I had eaten at Paulie's a lot in my teens.
I'm not sure exactly when, but a new owner took over in the last decade.
I've been meaning to try this place since the new owners took over, but didn't have a chance to until tonight (despite living about mile away).
I called at about 6:30 to see what time they were open until and the young man on the phone said 8. I asked if I should order through one if the 3rd party apps or through him, and he said he could take the order and deliver it (I was happy about that because I know those 3rd party apps charge 30% to the establishment). I decided to place an order.
We ordered a medium pie and an 8 piece buffalo wings. I told him there was no rush and that he could make us one of his last deliveries.
He delivered at about 7:30 and the food arrived hot and fresh. The delivery guy was definitely the owner. He wouldn't even let us tip him! He was super nice.
Onto the food. The pizza was fresh and big....the slices were huge! The wings were delicious but a tad salty and I love salt. The wing sauce was great but could've used a little more heat to them. The bleu cheese that came with the wings were really good too. I think the light breading on the wings is what made them salty.
Overall we were very very happy (and full).
We will def order again!
Side note: it was pretty cool how I got a text message with my receipt. Our order came to $20. Super reasonable considering we have 2 large slices and 4 wings left.

Great pizza pretty affordable I got 14 inch with sports drink for 15.50 cheaper then other places around Bergen country and also greater quality then any pizza I have been in Bergen county I love talking to the owner and there’s cool arcade games- Marcus Castro

Love the food at Paulies. The salads are fresh, the chicken is perfectly marinated and cooked.The pizza crust is crispy on the bottom and chewy inside. There are lots of yummy toppings and the sauce is perfect! The new owner is a friendly young guy with great service. I will definitely be going back and recommending it to friends.

My family and I had heard of Paulie's from friends and decided to go. It was incredibly delicious; everything was perfect. We had ordered a pizza pie, buffalo wings, garlic bread, and chicken parmesan sandwich. All of it was brilliantly tasty. Also, owner was friendly and nice. Definitely recommend this pizzeria to others, and can't wait to eat at Paulie's again.

Took a chance and ordered chicken parm today. It exceeded my expectations ! Delicious, fresh, well-seasoned meal! Staff was pleasant and my order was prepared quickly. Highly recommend and I will be back for more food!

I've been going here since I was six years old and I can't think of a better pizza place outside the NYC area. Service is great, food is wonderful, and the atmosphere is casual enough for a good conversation with the owner.

Great place to go after playing soccer. Go with my friends all the time, staff is very kind, pizzas always great. It's very good for a quick bite, and also has a variety of different pizzas that are all delicious!

Small little pizza place at Tenafly. Very nice staff. Ramzi was very helpful. He cut up a pizza slice into bite size bits for my son which was very thoughtful on his part. Pizza slices are yumm. Would definitely recommend.

After Cresskill Pizza closed I was worried that I would have to drive far for a good slice. Fortunately I found Paulie. A great slice or a pie in Cresskill, Tenafly, Demerest, and Closter area. An extra bonus that a large pie price is one of the lowest around.

Thin crust pizza that is pretty close to NYC actually and this is coming from a New Yorker !! They changed management recently and the pizza got better!! yum
