Tenafly Kosher Deli & Caterers

This is a small deli, one of the few remaining in the NY/NJ metropolitan area. They offer a full range of deli delights, most of which are made on premises. It's really only a take-out place, as there is only bar seating with stools. The food was excellent and the owners were friendly and talkative. If you're in the area, go there. You won't be disappointed.

Perfect! Been looking for a good kosher deli since i moved to NJ and this is the one. I will definitely be here a lot. Great selection and very friendly workers/ owners. The matzo ball soup was simple and tasty- so comforting to eat. The potato latkes were the best ive ever had! The pickles were also natural, homemade and perfect. If i lived in the area i would be here 3-5 days a week. But i have to say that it is well worth the journey for me to stop by frequently despite distance.

Who needs to go to Katz's in the City when you have Tenafly Kosher? Okay, that might be slightly hyperbolic, since Katz's is a unique experience, but if you want delicious kosher food, you don't need to schlep across the Hudson to get it. The knishes are always quality, and I love a great potato pancake, which are also done well. The sandwiches are fat and flavorful, and there is a wide variety of deli salads and mixed dishes that will make your eyes bigger than your stomach. Maybe it's a dollar or two more than some other delis, but if you feel the prices are higher, know that you are getting some quality food, served by a friendly staff. Easy to drive by this place if you don't know it, so take the time to stop by!

Always want to try this place and was finally in the neighborhood. Split pastrami and a brisket sandwiches with my son and neither sandwich disappointed. Excellent! Will be back soon even if I need to go out of my way to stop by.

Good frozen section and deli. Great sandwiches. Best hot dog on earth. Go to refuge for former Harold's customers.

Great Pastrami

Best pastrami, period. Steve is great, always a friendly conversation. They play the best classic rock music, too! Who doesn't like a delicious sandwich, some excellent well-done pickles, and some Jetheo Tull on the side.

The best around, no doubt. You've heard of Katz's (unless you live in a box) well these guys are right up there. Pastrami done right. And their other deli is fantastic too. And they are grateful dead fans so you know they are cool as hell too.

Small is size but Massive on Taste. Tenafly Kosher isn’t a large deli, but it can complete with the big boys - selection of meats, prepared foods, and frozen favorites. Whether it’s a quick bit, a platter or a full selection of items to host a holiday meal; Tenafly Kosher is too notch

Outstanding genuine kosher deli. Wonderful, friendly owner and the best pastrami on rye I’ve ever had. We love using them for catering, and always get rave reviews.

Their soup and sandwiches are great! The gentlemen who staff and run the deli are always helpful and accommodating.

Love it! Everything I've every had there has been delicious. My favorite, brining me back to my childhood days in Newark, NJ was the Sloppy Joe! (For the uninitiated, thinly sliced rye bread sandwich filled with deli meats, cole slaw and Russian Dressing -- not ground beef dripping over a hamburger bun.) I'm writing this from home and my mouth is watering just thinking of it!

I have been to Deli's all over the country and even, the world. There are no words to describe the amazing selection of food they have available and the customer service treats me as if I were one of their family. I, personally recommend this deli to everybody.

Ate at the counter. The corned beef sandwich and square potato knish were delicious. Self service but the fellow behind the counter was very helpful.

We come for the holidays every year from Dallas Texas.We missed last year.This is our first stop when we hit town and our last stop when we leave.The Pastrami is the best.Also we love seeing the guys who work here.They make us feel like family.This Deli is the real deal.
