For starters they are so friendly and nice! The servers are so quick and so nice! Such a pleasant place to eat! The food was beyond good! They were so generous with the food and it was so good! Paying is so simple, can be done on your phone! We had our anniversary and they were so nice and gave us a nice cake with a candle on top! (They also sing but we didn't want to).

Food was delicious. Good portion size.

Management should reconsider how they speak to their employees when customers are around however. It doesn't leave a good impression when you talk down to the people who work for you. Calling your bus boy a "pandejo" isn't appropriate.

Delicious food in a tastefully decorated space. The Hummus is terrific and the meat was on point. We will definitely be coming back.

I had the salmon and it was very good. Cook on it was excellent. It was very quiet when I went but food came out quickly. It was slightly before dinner rush normal time. The strawberry mango salad was amazing!

Never thought I would order plain schnitzel at a restaurant... Hard to describe how good it was, but it had a light crispness which was very good... The water tasted good too...

The food was excellent. The wait time was reasonable. Nice area. Easy parking with no meters. ... and the food was excellent. That's the most important part! I'd go back.

Navigating indoor dining at this time ... they seemed to be new at it - (Google improperly lists it as unavailable at this time). Some rules were carried out less than the government asked (like any other restaurant trying their best) ... and some rules carried out with a strictness that was ... less than smooth. No point on dwelling on it because I'm sure they'll figure it out.

After that, they were super nice so five stars. ... and the food made up for it.

We loved everything about this place. The food is very good. The owner makes sure you get everything as ordered and that you are comfortable. This is a byob, which offsets the cost of your food and lets you bring the wine of your choice, as long as its Kosher. We are not religious and love wine, there are numerous excellent Kosher wine options. If you are not familiar, give it a try. The parking was easy to find. We will be returning.

This a fantastic restaurant for family’s and special a cations. The shawarma is acceptional while the portions are relatively large. The pitta bread they give before your food comes is one of the best breads I’ve ever ate in my life.

Excellent apps, entrees and desserts. Beautiful music from a live band. We went with 4 couples and all had delish meals. Can't wait to go back again!

My daughters both love this place

I came here with my family yesterday and what a treat. The Mediterranean kosher eatery is is one of those places that hits the trifecta of good service, atmosphere, and food for a decent price. While by no means upscale, Tavlin is suitable for meetings and dates. I got the shawarma platter which was seasoned perfectly and came with a delicious herb sauce. Another must-try here is the chummus. You’ll thank me later. By all means, if you’re hungry and you know it, come to Tavlin

A very nice place to eat. The owner is very hands on and tries to be very friendly with everyone period. The portions are reasonably generous for the price. The humus is possibly the best you will get in northern New Jersey and New York. I speculate, that it is all made internally. The wait staff is also very friendly. They bend over backwards to bring us a heater outside. We opted to sit outside cuz it was a beautiful night. All in all, I would recommend going back.

Meat was good but the rice was tasteless

We have enjoyed eating Israeli food both in Israel and the US for years and the Pargiyot were the best we have ever had. Falafel balls fluffy, flavorful, perfect. Can’t find these in the US. Everything was fresh. Nothing greasy. Foodies at the table appreciated that the pieces of chicken and beef in the kebabs were evenly cut and generously sized. Delicious. Side dishes were plentiful and presented with the same care to appearance as everything else. Owner is polite. Service good. Our son, fresh off the plane from Israel, felt at home. Thank you.
