Popped in here on my way to class. Delicious, colorful, awesome bagel and a perfect chai latte made my day. Good, chill atmosphere.

A beautiful place to work, with many outlets, seat cushions, various seating arrangements, self-serve water, TWO restrooms, that has an amazing free monthly Open mic too! (Definitely sign up for their newsletter — it was the first good thing that ever came out of my spam inbox!)

Drink prices are very reasonable to me. I think they serve some soups and pretzels for food; have not had myself yet. My iced chai latte served in a real glass was life-giving on a horribly humid day.

They have some beer/ales and one on tap.

Day pictures are from a grateful Sunday afternoon where many people were working alongside me with laptops, and it was very quiet, spacious, and filled with natural light. Including one picture of the Open Mic where my partner and I stayed for an amazing show until 10pm on a summer Fri night.

With prices so reasonable, I would really love for this cafe to thrive. Please come here. Note: Hours differ depending on the weekday!

Just the food options are a bit limited.

Plowshares is not only a great coffee shop, but a fabulous neighborhood gathering spot. The staff are expert & attentive, genuinely friendly. The space is great for coffee, a casual business meeting, or an evening event: music, open mic, etc.

First time at Plowshares. The coffee was just right and delicious. I had an iced latte. Service was very friendly and quick. Also, beautiful atmosphere and ambiance. Definitely recommend!

Big open windows so there's a lot of natural light. There are lots of different sizes of tables so you can work quietly by yourself or at bigger tables and benches for groups to gather.
I'm not a huge fan of coffee but I love the smell of it. it's really cool that they roast their own beans! I tried their hot chocolate and chai latte and they were delicious.

Really nice spot just off of 125th street for a coffee! Cold brew is delicious, service is fast and friendly, and the space has a ton of seating options in a bright, open environment. Definitely recommend!

Cozy coffeeshop that offers some daily food selections as well. I had the chai and the potato/broccoli soup and read a book for a while. There were folks working on their laptops too. They have a selection of fresh pastries, including vegan options, as well as pre-packaged vegan/ gluten-free snacks.

Favorite local coffee spot. Fantastic for studying, dates, or a quick pre-dinner drink (they serve alcohol, too!) Owner is always here busting his butt - really appreciate the quiet space he creates with delicious coffee to boot.

FREE BREAD EVENT every first friday of the month at the harlem location! had such a good time! great wine selection, great live music.

Super nice café. The cappuccino was good (and I am Italian 😃) and also the almond croissant and peacan sticky bun. The environment inside is very cozy and enjoyable.

A great local business. Beautiful space with great coffee, pastries and some light fare. Nice place to hang with friends.

Best Cappuccino in NYC! 5/5 Stars hands-down; the cafe was beautiful inside, had lots of room and even had a chest board to pass the time! Unfortunately we could not sit indoors, but excited to return!

Did you know you can order 5lb. bags of their beans on their website? If you're local you'll get them in a day or two by mail (and for a great price.) We've been ordering their beans for two years now. We keep them in an Airscape tin and the our coffee still tastes great by the end of the month. Best way to buy beans in the city! Also, love this location, not many coffee shops with this much space here in Manhattan.

Promised I would leave a review and here I am! Love this neighborhood coffee shop!! Such a great ambience, the staff is so helpful and the coffee is so good. Always nice to stop in!!

beautiful space with great coffee, wifi, and lots of outlets. the best coffeeshop to work in i’ve found in this area. i almost don’t want people to know about it so it can be all mine! the other location of plowshares has equally great coffee and service, but smaller space. i recommend the ham and cheese croissants, and the mocha is the best i’ve ever had!
