Great place to picnic. I went for an art sale/ open mic & really fell in love with it. A bit of a walk from the train but right next to a few busses. Clean & well maintained. Cute experience for both kids and adults. The trees are perfect for kids to climb!

Nice small mostly quiet park. Upkeep could be better but it’s not bad.

Quiet and relaxing place. People from time to time host events during the summer. Good for walking and jogging, also a nice place to walk dogs. Theres a small swing set for kids, sandbox and spinkler. Also have a Gazebo to shelter yourself when it's raining. There's not public restroom, you'll have to go across the street to Claremont Playground for that.

Have gone by many times but never just sat and listened to music from the fabulous Jambaritos. The bandstand was perfect for this.

Gorgeous little hidden gem of a park. I recommend visiting when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom (early-mid April).

Picturesque Park near the Grants' Tomb. Lots of seating on the side on shaded benches and the lawn. Easy access to Riverside Drive/Park, the Tomb and 122nd St.

Such a beautiful park, Right next to the famous Manhattan school of music. An astonishing open space. So big you can fit and orchestra here... And So they do.From time to time there will be performances from Manhattan school of music here in the park.

It's a very peaceful, clean and safe park. I will definitely be planning a summer family picnic here. However, not much for children to enjoy other than a few swings. If your planning a day with the kids I would suggest bringing activities the kids will enjoy like balls, roller blades, jump ropes ect

Beautiful and very well maintained park in morningside heights. The gardener works really hard and is really passionate about keeping this place in great shape. Loved the cherry blossoms here in spring and the calmness of this place every day. Come here every morning with our pup and meet lots of other lovely dogs.

I live up the street from here and it's a nice quiet serene place to be alone and enjoy the quiet or bring the kids. (There is a sandbox lol). The gazebo is cute too.

Beautiful park, though I wish it was more dog friendly.

Good little park to go to, especially in the Spring when all the trees bloom so beautifully, AND winter when all the snow builds up. There's a very tiny playground inside near the SW entrance and seating mostly along the inner edges of the park.

Lovely little park to relax read picnic. Across from Grants tomb and the famous Riverside Church. No bathroom must use the church or down stairs at Grants tomb. I come here often. Park closes at 7pm.

Quaint park with cozy benches and cherry blossom trees to enjoy in the spring. Very well maintained and a great spot for a small picnic or reading a book.

A great, small park. There's a pavilion for special occasions and a small, enclosed children's play area with a water feature. There's also a statue of General Butterfield, who appears to be watching over Grant's Tomb located across the street.

WorkWell NYC hosted a series of fitness classes here on Su 6/6 & the experience was quite a success with social distancing & trees for great shade. It helped that there was a nearby restroom at a playground not far off since it was one of the hottest days of the year (90+ degrees!), so increased hydration was essential.
